“PARADISE” Where to start! The Stable Cottage is beautiful. All appliances and furniture is of the highest specification and there’s nothing else you could possibly ask for in a holiday let. The view from the patio doors is sublime and literally takes your breath away every single time. Great location. Hidden away yet accessible for so many places to visit. So, even with all that, what makes this place even more special is the hosts - Ronnie & Laura. Will leave you alone if that’s what you want but are on hand to help in any way. Ronnies freshly baked scones are not good for the waistline but they are so delicious you just can’t help yourself. He was great with our two dogs and even offered to look after them if we wanted to go for dinner. I’ve never met more helpful and friendly hosts. Although the Stable is a little piece of paradise, the hosts are what take this destination onto a whole new level. You absolutely won’t be disappointed!

“My best ever self-catering experience” I loved, loved, loved the Grand Marine apartment, which I had booked for myself to celebrate my retirement after 35 years of teaching. I had never been to Bute before, but wanted an island break where I could both relax "at home" and explore the area. Grand Marine alowed me to do both. The apartment is very, very comfortable with all the amenities one would expect and more and all decorated in a light and fresh manner. Not surprisingly, I spent a lot of time sitting by the living room windows looking at the exceptional views. Although the weather during my stay was mixed, it was simply wonderful to be able to watch the water and sky change, the ferry come in and out...... The flat also was an excellent base for visiting all the many attractions of Bute, with Mount Stuart and seal-watching at Scalpsie Bay particular highlights. Nothing was very far away or particularly difficult to find or get to. Yes, Grand Marine is on the second floor, but worth every step. I've stayed in several self-catering flats and houses before, but this is very definitely my favourite - a wonderful start to my retirement Thank you so much for having me!

“Beautiful location well equipped comfortable cottage.would definitely go back.” The view from this property is to die for, we stayed for two weeks from end April into may, weather was mixed to say the least but had a fair share of decent days. Cottage is very well equipped and comfortable although we did find the bed a bit too firm. Very clean and plenty space. The garden is perfect for anyone taking dogs, nicely planted around the door then lots of grassy space for them to enjoy, very secure. There are sheep in the next door field, wasn't a problem for us but worth knowing, some dogs might not cope with that. The roads around the area are easy enough to travel, lots of lovely places to see. We are especially interested in wildlife , there are lots of seals in the area and we were lucky enough to watch a pair of white tailed Eagles on the hunt from the cottage gardening day. Other than that lots of rabbits and typical garden birds. A few other birds of pray mainly buzzards around. Have already recommended to others .

“Outstanding Property” Spacious, clean property in an excellent location. Great value for money and owner was most attentive. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property. Overall I would rate this holiday letting a straight 10 out of 10.

“Class in a Glass” Just back after a 5 night stay at this beautiful holiday home. Owner had thought of everything that a holidaymaker might need - even down to buckets and spades for the kids. Loved the location - just open door and a short walk and you are down at this lovely village. Another good thing about this house is that the garden was on 3 levels which meant that when the sun had left ground level we just moved up to the table and chairs at the top of the garden where it was a sun trap. Cannot recommend this house enough and as we all had such a good time we will certainly be back. Thank you Steven.

“Our Amazing Holiday in The Croft Sandend” Our daughter, her husband and children aged 7 & 9 stayed with us in the cottage. We all thoroughly enjoyed the cottage, the view across the beach and the harbour. The facilities in the cottage are superb. We hope to be able to return next year.
