“Amazing place to stay” We stayed for week commencing 16/08/14. This house is truly beautiful and has everything that you need plus more. It was like staying in a top class hotel with all the luxuries but had a lovely homely touch. Everything was spotless on our arrival and all the basics such as clean towels etc were provided but also the kitchen was fully equipped with more pots and pans than I have at home! There was even washing powder and comfort to wash our clothes with.
We went as we were playing golf in St Andrews and the house is perfectly located as it is only a 5 minute drive away.
The Logan family are wonderful hosts and are friendly but also discreet. The boys were very well mannered and polite and Tess the puppy is just amazing, even if she did pinch our ball during a game of catch with the boys!
This review does not do The Beehouse and the Logan family justice really as it is difficult to express how nice The Beehouse is in words. All I can say is that if you are travelling to St Andrews you need to stay there to experience it for yourself.
“Lovely, comfortable accommodation in great location” Very well appointed flat, attractively furnished, convenient for exploring the delights of St Andrews. Handy private parking but easy to walk to the town and golf courses.
We were impressed with how quiet the accommodation was - no noise from neighbouring properties. Would definitely like to stay again.
“Stunning” What can we say other than stunning. The property was ideally situated for a short hop into St andrews as well as given the most amazing views you can imagine. The house is midern and ideal for young children to get out and run in the garden. We all lived the property including my 2 year old. Not only that but the hospitality and attention to detail from the owner Moira was excellent. She seemed to find everything we needed, even before we knew we needed it!!! This is by far the best rental property we have used and we will definitely be back
“Wonderful! As comfortable as home, with all necessities.” Easy walk to the City Centre and Old Course. Very quiet and clean. Short walk to a Marks and Spencer, Aldi, Morrisons and excellent takeaway fish and chips! Bus stop across the street. Quiet, private garden in back. Would definitely stay again!

The Summit Lodge
Modern comforts, with seclusion and a stunning view
Our family of six needed to stay close to St.Andrews where we were attending a family wedding. The Summit Lodge could not have been better. We had already located it on a trip to Scotland earlier in the year so had no trouble finding it - drive between two curved low white walls on the left hand side about 400 yards up Lucklawhill from the corner by the telephone box on School Road - just past the white Guide Centre - then straight ahead and up across the beautifully kept paddocks to the top and turn left. Moira was there to greet us and show us around her very well equipped house.
First impressions were really quite amazing. It's an up-side-down house so the living room where you enter is on the first floor and has a panoramic view from a wall of windows which open onto a balcony. You then go downstairs to the three bedrooms, one is ensuite, and a bathroom.
We found our way around the local grid of roads quite easily and went to the Guardbridge Inn for a very good meal on the first night. One important point, if your satnav tells you to go down Quarry Road - don't, it really lives up to its name!
I did not see the red squirrels but my son and daughter-in-law had their morning tai-chi interrupted by a few little visitors!
The ladies used Sutherlands hairdressers in Newport-on-Tay and we had pre-ordered our button holes from Annands florists just along the road.
All-in-all a wonderful few days in a warm and friendly place in a part of Scotland we know very well and now know a little better. …
