“Perfect” We could never enjoy your stay more. The location is perfect, Steps from the harbour and shops. The Lobster Shack is just at the bottom of the hens walk. The views are even better than they appear to be online and I can still close my eyes in remember sitting in front of the window just admiring the view. The only problem was we couldn't stay longer because we are very sad to leave. And the beautiful artwork by Mrs. Walker will stay in my memory too. Definitely stay here when you're in Crail.
“Fabulous accommodation” Fantastic accommodation- clean, well equipped and great location! Lovely touches by owners- welcome basket and essentials on arrival including treats for our dog!! Near to local beach with fabulous beaches and lovely villages nearby. Will definitely be returning.
The historic fishing village of Crail lies in the East Neuk of Fife. We have plenty of holiday rentals in Crail to choose from, so you’re sure to find the right accommodation to suit your tastes and budget.
With its winding cobbled streets, pretty harbour full of fishing boats and cottages dotted all around, it's easy to see why Crail attracts visitors throughout the year. Just a 90-minute drive from Edinburgh, the village lies on the Fife Coastal Route and is home to a wealth of attractions. You're just a stone's throw from world-class golfing at St Andrews and there are a range of coastal walking trails to explore.
What to do
Crail Pottery is the perfect place to stop off for handcrafted souvenirs on a stroll around the village, whilst Crail Museum and Heritage Centre gives a fascinating insight into the area’s history. Scotland’s Secret Bunker is nearby too, and well worth exploring.

Lily's Cottage- quaint retreat in a beautiful coastal village
Really Lovely Holiday Cottage in Crail
Lily's Cottage was ideally situated for us, as we were participating in the annual festival held in Crail. The cottage is also in an ideal position to go to the beach at Roome Bay, and also for anyone wanting to do the coastal walk.
The cottage itself retains a lot of character, but also has a fantastic extension, which serves as a lovely summer room looking out to the garden. …
Coastal Haven - Stunning Holiday Home in Crail
Fabulous Holiday Home 5*
Our third visit to Coastal Haven and it was just as lovely as our first stay in 2016. The house is fabulous, Jane & Alan keep it in pristine condition throughout with great attention to detail and the newly landscaped garden is gorgeous (although we had some rainy days so couldn't make full use of it!).
Fantastic welcome basket which even includes treats for the our little dog - Champers says Thank You!!.
Thanks again Alan & Jane for another wonderful stay & see you in 2019 xx …
Crail Harbour View -- Crail Fife Scotland
Very nice apartment in Crail.
The owners did all they could to ensure a nice stay.
We would certainly recommend it to anyone.
The only issue is eating out; driving to St Andrews is the best option, if you want a good restaurant. …
Railway Crossing Cottage
Great place for a break with the Doggos
The Railway Crossing Cottage is a great place to stay. Lovely cottage, very clean and also allowed our small dogs (they loved this too). Added bonus of a hot tub to relax in. Short drives to St Andrews, Anstruther, Crail. Would definitely recommend this for a break! …
A beautiful house to completely relax in.
What an amazing place to stay! We loved the week we had at the Crail Posthouse. It was very comfortable and had lovely artwork and books everywhere and so really rather felt like a home rather than a soulless holiday let. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything you could need and all of it was of an excellent standard.
The harbour is just a short walk away, the sea can be seen from the bedroom and snug windows, and the walk along the coastal path to Kingsbarns is a must.
There’s a very well stocked whole foods shop, a grocer with fresh fish daily, a butcher and a fish and chip shop all within a minute's walk. The cafe on the walk down to the harbour is fab and takes dogs at one of the tables.
David was truly dog welcoming rather than just dog friendly, it really makes a difference. Can’t wait to return. …
A cosy, comfortable space. A great location with a baker & a butcher just a few steps away. We enjoyed a stroll to the historic harbour and a browse in the local shops. A great base to enjoy what the East Neuk of Fife has to offer. …
