“A perfect location for visiting Florence and the countryside” Located just outside town, this charming cottage has two apartments and we rented them both. Laura is the perfect hostess, charming and helpful. Having both apartments gave us lots of options. The upper unit has a lovely large dinging table which accommodated the four of us for evening meals after long days of sightseeing. We had a car to travel out to the countryside and chose to take a taxi into town when visiting Florence (about 10 €) but there is a bus also available. Laura introduced us to a fabulous restaurant nearby with lovely views when dining outside, our visit to Florence could not have been better. Thank you Laura.
“A cottage for all seasons - just perfect!” Honeysuckle cottage really is perfect. It is beautifully appointed, in a wonderful location and the owners couldn't be more attentive in their efforts to ensure you have a lovely stay. It certainly exceeded our expectations and our 2 year old loved it.
The garden is beautiful for the warmer months (sadly May proved to be a little chilly!) but it doubtless is a cottage which could be enjoyed at any time, with the cosy reception rooms and log burner.
Don't delay... Book your break in this wonderful holiday home (though please save a week for us!).
“Fantastic!” A beautiful cottage which is well looked after and in a great spot. Very comfortable and was not overlooked at all when using hot tub. Owners were very helpful and friendly from booking onwards. Hope to return!!
“Spacious, comfortable accommodation surrounded by spectacular Scottish scenery” The property was wonderfully equipped, It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making Quinag comfortable for guests. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and the mezzanine was an added bonus, space to escape and enjoy the views.
My sister and her partner brought along Ben the dog who enjoyed frequent walks around the area as there was so much to explore. We also spent an enjoyable day at Achnahaird beach and went on the summer Isle cruise which I would recommend if you are in the area. I would also recommend visiting the Fuaran Bar if you fancy eating out, cakes at the Piping school cafe are also worth stopping for.
There is a handy wee shop a couple of doors down from the house incase you forget anything. All in all everything you need for an enjoyable holiday
“First Class Apartment in the heart of Oban with stunning views!” Little Bay ticked all the boxes for our family of four. Fantastic location; thoughtful welcome pack which made settling in very easy; everything you would want and need in an apartment was there, and more! We can't recommend this apartment highly enough as a very comfortable base for exploring Oban and the region. We can't wait to go back!
“Great Stay!” Recently stayed at Oceana for a family get away. Eight Adults, two babies, four dogs and there was plenty of room for all.
The house was stunning just like the view over Saundersfoot. All bedrooms were of a very generous size. The kitchen was well stocked and the children loved the playroom. The pool was 'the jewel in the crown' and enjoyed by all. We were lucky to have experienced such great weather, but had it rained the pool would have kept us entertained.
The location is perfect for a short stroll into Saunderfoot which is very beautiful and quaint. Plus there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. We never drove more than a few miles for any activity.
I recommend Oceana to all.
“Very good property” The property was very clean and extremely well equipped.
The owner put in a box of toys appropriate to the child’s age.
The owner was very “picky” about no shoes in the house because of her light coloured carpets.
This was very hard going especially if going back and forward to the car packing etc
“Stylish, comfortable, well equipped and excellent location.” We had a really relaxing week with lots of space for 2 adults and two teenagers to all do their own thing, yet meet up around the dining table and enjoy a home cooked meal. Normally I don't like to cook too much on holiday but the kitchen was so well equipped, it made it easy.
It was lovely to have a space in the underground car park, as parking is tricky on Sanbanks in high summer.
My son loved the 'lazy boy' leather chair/sofa with foot rest!
“30th birthday bash” A great weekend in some beautiful english countryside, in an old english house!
Perfect for a big group celebrating. Make sure you take a stroll out to Wingfield Manor across the fields, straddling the rivers and over the railway. Be sure to stop at The Old Yew Tree Inn for a drink.
The main 3 bedrooms are nicely finished, and the kitchen is well done. The reception rooms are pleasant, and the mis-matching furniture doesn't make you feel too guilty for partying! The working fireplaces are great.
All in all, the house represents good value in a truly beautiful corner of England.
“Fantastic villa with absolutely stunning view!” I stayed in Villa Viha together with 3 friends in September 2016, and completly loved the place. It´s situated very privately just besides Nazaret, with brilliant views. It´s only 10 minutes walk from the village but it feels like your in a world of your own.
The house is huge, and the garden enormous! We all had one bedroom each and it was even one left over then. We spent most of our week in the house and around the pool, not wanting to leave the place. We hade long lazy breakfasts, went for walks in the wilderness, went back to the poolarea for drinks and snacks/light lunch, and then later on we made dinner on the BBQ by the Pool and then we played either boule in the garden or billiard inside. One day we walked to Teguise, a lovely neighbor village with plenty of restaurants and shops, and had lunch there. It is about 50 minutes quite challenging walk there since it´s plenty of uphills, going back is easier. Going to the beach by car took about 10 minutes.
Villa Viha is really well equipped, we didn´t miss anything during our stay. This is a perfect house for anyone that want to hang out with friends or family in lovely surroundings. It´s so nice so I have booked it for my 50th birtday in 2018. Then it will be 10 of us and I can´t imagine at better place to celebrate at.
“wow” We stayed at this cottage for three days -wish it had been longer. This is a well equipped cottage, well furnished and more like a hotel. It is placed, away from the crowds but handy for local beaches, walks and amenities. We had meals out every night and would recommend the following:- Anns Pantry in Moelfre, The Beachcomber in Benllech and The Tavern at St Davids Caravan Site, Red Wharf Bay. The rest of Anglesey is in easy reach. Directions to property are easily followed . Hope to visit again. Graeme/Mary
“Fantastic apartment in every way” This is an extremely well equipped, superbly located and all round awesome apartment. Overlooking the sea and literally 5min walk from the beach and a nice walk into town. Lovely decor inside. Chocolates, wine and milk in fridge on arrival was a lovely touch. The balcony being out of action was the only disappointment and the only improvement we could think of is that the rooms are lovely and light, which was great for us, but less conducive for getting our 2 year to sleep, so some option of more black out curtains would have been great! But overall it was fantastic - really hope we can come back soon! Thank you again!
“Exceeded our expectations” Find a property that is an ideal location (half way between Glouceshire and Teesside) caters for two dogs, clean and modern with added luxuries, believe it or not is harder to find than you think. However, when we stumbled upon The Dutch Barn, it seemed too good to be true. However,I am pleased to say, it is true and The Dutch Barn lives up to all the positive reviews.
On first impressions the Barn looked beautiful and was spotlessly clean. I know as a dog owner, even I am, at times, dubious of the actual standard of cleanliness with properties that a pet friendly. But please, if you don't have dogs don't let that put you off, the properly was spotless.
All the bedrooms are decorated to a high standards with gorgeous four poster beds and luxury bedding and towels. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm and the complimentary bottles of wine and snacks were a lovely touch which made you feel welcome.
Jonathan and Gill were superb. I accidentally stated there were only 2 people staying at the Dutch Barn when booking, so on arrival there was only one bed made up. Jonathan visited the property on the first night to ensure we had settled in. Jonathan went out of his way to collect more bedding and make us feel at home. I think I added and extra 2 hours on his already long day, but Jonathan went out of his way to get us what we needed. Thanks again Jonathan!
The Dutch barn has a lovely enclosed front garden, which was great to make the most of the sun and you don't have to worry about the dog wandering off. To the back of the property is a courtyard where you can relax and utilise the hot tub. The hot tub was well maintained and was great to relax into after a day of walking and wandering around picturesque villages. I really can't fault this property, it is reasonably priced, great location, clean and welcoming. We will defiantly be returning to the Dutch barn in the very near future.
“REWARDING STAY IN SCENIC KESWICK COTTAGE” Booked this spacious, well equipped cottage in Keswick for a 3 night stay in November. The location is great; not far from town centre with stunning views across the immediate area. The booking procedure was very simple and guided by a considerate owner. The cottage itself lacked nothing in terms of provisions. The decor was fairly modern and clean. The bedrooms were tidy and comfortable. The one drawback was the 4th bedroom being with bunks which was more suited to teenage children than adults. However this is a minor gripe as the rest of the accommodation was of a high standard. The owner also offered to post a camera charger which was left behind. Will stay here again if we are back in the area.
“Fab apartment in a really good location” We returned from a stay at this apartment last week. The pictures on the website don't do it justice, the apartment is so big, it's really a two story townhouse. Ground floor has hallway with large storage unit, downstairs toilet, separate fully fitted kitchen with full fridge/freezer, washing machine, oven and hob, kettle, toaster and all the cooking equipment you could want to cook any meal. There were also juicers/sandwich maker/ coffee machine in a cupboard we did not use. there is a small balcony off the kitchen with a barbecue.
Really large living/dining room with table and 6 chairs, 2 large comfortable sofas, sideboard (with books and jigsaw puzzles) modern TV with HDMI input, DVD player (and some dvd films) and satellite receiver with some English language stations. We brought films on a media player that can be connected through the HDMI. We were also able to watch many of the world cup matches on Portuguese tv.
Off the living room is a large terrace with a table and 4 chairs and 4 sun loungers, this opens out to the pool. The pool was a good size and we often had it to ourselves, this is a small complex only a few apartments are rented out so during the week it is very quiet it gets busier at the weekend when local owners arrive, but still never very busy.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms with full bathrooms en-suite. The smaller bedroom has a double bed and small balcony which gets the evening sun, it is lovely and quiet here overlooking gardens, a nice place to relax in the evening sun before going out for the night. The other bedroom is bigger and has two single beds and a foldout chair bed, this has a large balcony overlooking the pool.
All windows and doors have shutters which makes it feel very secure and keeps the rooms dark and cool in the mornings. There is air-con in both bedrooms and living room. The water is heated by gas and the pressure is really good in the showers and as the hot water is heated on demand it never runs out. The whole apartment is tiled in marble and is very modern.
Olhos de Agua is a really nice village. Near to the apartment are all the restaurants, shops and supermarkets you will need all within 5 mins. There is also a bank with ATM and pharmacy just across the road. The lovely beach is a 5/10 min walk downhill, lots of restaurants along this road also. We have been to Albufeira 3 times before but I really prefer Olhos, we ate out most nights and never had a bad meal, my favorites were San Martino for Pizza, O'Licorne for Indian and Cabrita for Portuguese, Cabrita have a special every day and some nights there were people waiting to get in, so must be good. This apartment is also owned by one of the Cabrita family.
Taxi's are really easy to get and not too expensive, around €6/€10 to Albufeira depending on where and when you are going. We walked it takes about an 50 mins to the strip and a further 20/30 mins to the old town, its a nice walk fairly flat all the way with footpaths. If you are really fit you can walk to Vilamoura along the beach it takes less than 2 hours but can be hard-going on soft sand in the full sun, taxi costs around €17.
I would definitely return to this apartment, I loved the apartment and the location. The only small negative I have is the beds are not comfortable. They are a bit short and noisy (even the kids ones). Its only a small negitive in an otherwise perfect holiday.
The owner arranged the transfer for us, this went perfectly, they were waiting for us at the airport and were 10 mins early collecting us on our way home. The owner is a really helpful guy, we had his mobile number and we could also call into him at his resturant with any queries, the only thing we wanted was a second set of keys, he got these for us the next day and some light bulbs went and he replaced them straight away. Cleaners came twice a week and changed beds and towels.
“Beautiful house and gorgeous location.” I stayed in this house with a large family group. We were very impressed with the house and the wonderful location. The house itself is spacious and very comfortable, and also very clean. The kitchen is large and well appointed and the bedrooms are really comfortable. The only small negative we would say is that the outside area of the house appears somewhat unfinished and is not very child friendly. I'm sure that is something which will be attended to though. Overall, I would highly recommend this house and would be very happy to stay there again.
“Returned and not disappointed” In many reviews you hear a reviewer saying that they will be back well we did and were not disappointed. The apartments appeal is its central location which we took maximum advantage of. The rooms are very comfortable including the beds which if it were not for the minster bells we would probably not have seen York at all. Had a great weekend Christmas shopping and of course socialising and have already booked to come back next August.
“Quiet and relaxing stay in one of the prettiest villages in Dordogne” The location of this property was great - right in amongst everything, but in a back street so no street noise. You could park the car for the night and walk to restaurants. The town itself was one of, if not, the prettiest. Not a lot to do in any of the nearby towns at night, but this one seemed to have a decent amount of better-end restaurants (L'Esplanade was fabulous!)
The property itself was comfortable and clean. It had all that we needed for a quiet friends get together. Overall, just a nice place to relax and forget about the rest of the world.
“A lovely family cottage” We stayed here just after the easter weekend. The cottage is very nice and really dont have anything bad to say about it.
nice secure garden for the kids to play in with toys available inside and outside. WiFi is very useful and probably most people cant do without it nowadays.
maybe the only downside is that we want to buy a log burner now!!!
there are no shops in the village and the pub is currently being renovated. If that is important, then look elsewhere - otherwise thoroughly recomended - just book it!!!
“Fabulous villa, fabulous location - couldn't ask for more” We stayed here in September 2012 as a family with 4 generations ranging from 8 months to 80+ years old. We were extremely impressed with what we saw. The villa had an area suitable for every member of the family ranging from a glorious garden with private warm swimming pool, quiet chilled out patio area, sheltered indoor garden and a games area with football / basketball net. The villa was very spacious and on 3 floors with excellent facilities (home from home). It is spotless and equipped with anything you could want. The villa could not be more central to restaurants, shops, bars and the promenade / beach - all serving a range of cuisines for all budgets. Valery - the friendly owner was there to meet us on arrival and kept in contact whenever we had queries about the local area. All in all - a perfect peaceful villa and a fabulous holiday - looking forward to our return.
“Fantastic Apartment” we stayed for 1 week in the apartment in July, the quality of the apartment is fantastic, it is equiped with everything you could possibly need for a totally relaxing & enjoyable stay. The bed is the most comfy ever. There is a lovely seating area where you can admire the views eat breakfast ,or enjoy a glass of wine . If you want a holiday where you feel totally relaxed in your accommodation book these apartments you won't be disappointed.
The views from the apartment are stunning , there is a pathway through the garden leading to Carbis bay beach , which is really lovely . The coastal walk into st ives takes about 20 mins, if you dont want to walk you can catch the local branch line this makes access into St Ives very easy, a taxi is around £ 4.50. A lovely part of the world ,with lots to see & do .
“it does not get better than this” we booked this accomodation online in australia. It was every bit as good as the pictures looked. every thing was provided and more.we would not hesitate to recomend this cottage to anyone.just remember to take the torch with you at night to the pub.
“Great Holiday” Visited Casa Innismore with my husband and two friends, we found the villa well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The outdoor eating and sitting area by pool where nicely furnished, the heated swimming pool just great.
Just a ten minute walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants one way and flamingo beach area about ten minutes the other way. We found the owner and manager most helpful.
Europe’s diversity is nothing short of mindblowing. It’s a tapestry of different cultures, cuisines, peoples and histories, woven over thousands of years and, consequently, is an utter thrill to explore. From Scandinavia to Spain, you’re sure to find a destination or ten to take your fancy.
With so many countries creating the European patchwork, there are an inspiring number of cities to discover. Classic tourist spots like Rome, London, Paris and Barcelona are brimming with landmarks, while more obscure destinations have just as much to offer: Lyon is heaven for foodies and Budapest a must for history buffs.
As a vast and varied continent, Europe’s landscapes encompass some incredible national parks. Croatia’s Plitvice Lakes are a spectacular complex of waterfalls, peaceful pools and dramatic gorges, while Wild Taiga in Finland offers unique opportunities to see bears, wolverines and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
The Alps, Dolomites, Carpathians, Pyrenees… If you want to get the best view of Europe, head to the very top! From the petite Peak District in England to the majestic Alpine peaks spanning France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland, the hike up and the exquisite views will both take your breath away!

coquette villa with wifi garden terrace and heated pool 700 meters from the beach
First visit to Lanzarote
The villa is in a quiet area not too far from the marina, the development is set some way away from others which makes it peaceful so long as you don’t have noisy neighbours. The villa itself was spacious and equipped with all you need, the package of dishwasher tabs and washing up sponge was very useful, and the bottle of water and wine was a nice touch. Decoratively things were a little tired, but this is a very reasonably priced villa and didn’t bother me particularly. The only real negatives for us was the lack of English tv (there was a cowboys and Indians channel, an American cop show channel, a kids channel and Al Jazeira) and the beds, they were comfortable but incredibly squeaky. I have mentioned it to the lady who looks after the villa so hopefully it will be looked at. I would say a hire car is necessary to easily access the main town and to explore the island. …
LUXURY MODERN APARTMENT WITH POOLS AND HOT TUBS
Lovely week away in a brand new appartment
We stayed here for Octobet Half term. Myself, husband and 2 children and had a lovely time. The appartment is brand new and well equiped with a travel cot& mattress, high chair, dishwasher, kettle, microwave and oven. It even has childrens plastic cups and plates etc. There is a nice little garden with a patio and furniture. The hot tub was lovely and warm and the little park on site was ideal for keeping our 2 entertained. The resort is very clean and tidy and has a nice relaxing feel to it.
There are few nice restaurants we found within a 10 minute walk. Its a short drive from La Senia which is great for a shopping trip and has lots of restaurants to chose from. Our kids particularly liked the pizza and pasta buffet option with a free soft play area attached.
We went to a few local beaches all of which were clean and tidy with lovely golden sand. They also have a small play area on the beaches which was lovely.
We will definitely stay here again as it was ideal for us and we had a lovely relaxing and fun family holiday. …
