“Great place in a brilliant location would return tomorrow” We just loved this former Merchants House, which was homely and offered every facility you could want. It was a great place to return to after walking around Amsterdam all day. The kitchen is has every appliance, including a great coffee machine. The bathroom is luxurious. The beds very comfortable and the first floor lounge a great space to sit and read or look out on the constant changing character of the adjoining canal.
The location is absolutely brilliant being only a couple of hundred m from the Westerkek with its wonderful carillon. Do climb the tower. All the major Museums and galleries are within easy walking distance and it was a constant joy to walk along and cross-cross the canals, taking extreme care to lookout for the bikes! It appears chaotic but all seems to work, as the bikers are not your Lycra clad boy racers, but anyone from 8 to 80 on sensible bikes riding at sensible speeds!!
Most of the Museums have had major refurbishments in recent years and cater brilliantly for children. The Amsterdam Museum, Maritime Museum, and Nemo, and Van Gough Museum were outstanding in this respect. There were local supermarkets which were great for self-catering, and a very good ice-cream shop for the after diner walk and desert. As you can gather we cannot recommend the house, its location or Amsterdam more highly.
“Perfect location to explore Amsterdam” I live in Spain but travel to Amsterdam quite often for business. This new apartment is located in a beautiful and quiet street, and at the same time very close to the Leidseplein, the beautiful canals, the museum district and the Vondelpark. Beautifully decorated and a friendly owner.
Rent a bike around the corner, or just take a walk through the area. You won't regret it!
Holland is a country at the heart of Europe. The canals and cobbled streets of Amsterdam attract many visitors every year. The city is a blend of old and new, and can be as lively or sedate as you want it to be. Out of the cities, the landscape of the Netherlands is best explored by bike – and prepare to see the tulip fields and windmills you were expecting.

Cozy and comfortable apartment in excellent location
The studio apartment on the street level is comfortable and located in a nice residential area close to great shops, restaurants, and museums. One can walk easily to various parts of the city from the apartment and is away from the "touristy" parts of Amsterdam. We felt quite at home and safe. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive to our needs. We highly recommend for couples or family with one or two small children. …
Catherine's stee apartment in village center near the North
Very friendly and welcoming hosts and a clean and comfortable house.
The accommodation is the front section of Nicos' and Jannys' house and while they are always on hand should you need something, they do not intrude. Guests have use of the front garden which is a great spot to watch the world go by (mostly on bicycles) and receive a friendly wave and a greeting from the locals.
Warmenhuizen is a fairly small village but boasts a very well stocked supermarket and a good selection of bars and restaurants.
If you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet but still within a short drive of larger cities, I would highly recommend Catharinas. …
Great location. Houseboat interior exactly as pictured - clean and good condition. Central location, yet not noisy. strongly recommend …

Wonderful boat stay for couple or friends
Great boat to get into Amsterdam spirit
I stayed with my family of 4 for 2 nights. The boat provides simple accommodation in a plesant gated marina with shower/toilet facilities close by. Staying on the water is a great base for such a watery city. The area is quiet and Tim the owner directed us to the local bus service into the city centre and welcomed us with a 4-pack of beer. …
Canal house opposite Ann Frank house
Beautiful and amazing!
A beautiful and spacious apartment for a family of four. We had two floors of an amazing house on the Prinsengracht canal with a roof terrace. The fact that we were staying in an architecturally wonderful Amsterdam house was phenomenal. From the sitting room and kitchen windows you can see the Westerkerk Church and Anne Frank Huis on the opposite side of the canal. It only took about fifteen minutes to walk here from the Centraal station and all the other places we visited were within walking distance, eg the Van Gogh museum.
The proprietors are very kind, being flexible with arrival times and allowing you to leave your luggage after the 11am check out time. The kitchen was well equipped and the cupboards were also well stocked with tea and coffee.
Also, Elisa G is immediately contactable if you need any information.
If I am in Amsterdam again, I would definitely want to stay here. …
