“most amazing week in Amsterdam” We had the most amazing week in Amsterdam. We were met as planned. He was very helpful with explaining the set up & orientating us in the neighbourhood . We adored the house. The stairs are a little scary until you get used to them. We had everything to make us comfortable & feel at home, even down to the baby highchair which was very useful. It was so nice to wake up to Illy coffee from the Jura machine. The house is in such a great position so close to everything. We just walked & walked. We would recommend it to all our friends.
“Cosy and warm, a beautiful neighbourhood” The apartment is perfectly sized for two people, and romantic! It was wonderfully warm and the quirky interiors made it a lovely sanctuary from the cold fresh air. The sauna is a lovely addition and the kitchen is basic but has all the necessities, including a cappuccino maker.
The apartment is very close to the museum quarter and has some lovely shops and cafés nearby.
“An oasis in Amsterdam.” This was my first trip to Amsterdam and it was a truly memorable experience. My wife and I are so happy that we chose a houseboat for our weeks stay. The instructions for reaching our destination from Schipol Airport using the train and metro were excellent.
The houseboat was clean and tidy and the owner, Jennie Yip, was there to meet us and answer any questions we brought up.The WiFi connection was pretty good which helped us keep in contact with family and friends. The spot where we were berthed was ideally situated for visiting a few of Amsterdam's visitor attractions.
The only thing I would like to mention, and Jennie maybe take this on board, is that a fan of some sort would be advantageous. The weather was very warm for most of our stay and with no airconditioning or fan the houseboat was uncomfortably warm in the evening and sleeping was pretty unpleasant. Apart from this fact I would not let it deter me or any other travellers from sampling this experience.
