“Amazing house, perfect location” We spent five days exploring Amsterdam by foot. The area is quiet and central. Everything you need is within short walking distance; shops, cafes, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. The interior is beautiful and practical. As pointed out in the description, the stairs are steep. We loved everything about this authentic canal house – and it really is picture perfect.

“Wonderful!” First visit to Amsterdam for a short break to celebrate my husbands 50th, I booked this apartment so all responsibilities was on me! Couldn't have been happier - It was in a perfect location, close enough to the central touristy parts to walk and spend the day. The apartment has lots of cafes and restaurants on the door step to suit all budgets & tastes with the added gem of the little court yard garden to finish the evening with a nightcap. Anne Marie was a lovely host, from first contact - confirming the booking. Advising us of the bus route and directions from the airport (I would recommend the bus, direct route, comfortable, easy and cheaper) The room was spotlessly clean and the decor refreshingly quirky it was a great escape with everything think you need and more, so comfortable felt like we had our own little retreat in Amsterdam. Would recommend Amsterdam & the apartment, perfect combination for a great break, hope to revisit both.

“Outstanding funky apartment with stunning roof terrace!” Had a fabulous stay: apartment is stunning (clean, modern, comfortable, funky), & Amsterdam is always an outstanding city to spend time. Location is great as really close to Vondelpark for a gorgeous walk into the centre or the trams are just a few minutes walk. Host Michiel is really helpful & friendly. Highly RECOMMEND.

Amsterdam holidays

This culture-rich capital is packed with world-class museums, theatre, live music, friendly bars and fine-dining restaurants. Walking and cycling are the best ways to get around and ensure that you don’t miss any quirky art galleries or stylish clothes shops that catch your eye en route. It’s the perfect city break for romantics, history lovers, groups of friends… well, just about anyone! Choose from cutting-edge apartments, cosy houseboats or elegant townhouses for a fun-filled break in fabulous Amsterdam.

Museums & art

Amsterdam is home to some of the most impressive (and most unusual!) museums in the world. Start by visiting the Rijksmuseum. It offers a representative overview of Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages onwards and exhibits major aspects of European and Asian art. Here, you’ll be able to see masterworks like Rembrandt’s “Night watch”, several paintings by Vermeer, van Dyck and many other great artists. One of the most poignant museums in the world is in Amsterdam - the Anne Frank museum - where you can learn what life in hiding must have been like for the young diarist.

To see the largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh (comprising 200 paintings, 400 drawings, and 700 letters) visit the Van Gogh museum. And, for something completely different, find out what it’s like to be a bottle on a production line at the Heineken Experience.

Romantic Amsterdam

If you think your other half will look sweet on a bicycle made for two, then hiring a tandem is a fantastic way to see the lovey-dovey side of the city. Cycle over leafy bridges, indulge in a coffee and a pastry or pour over the guide book together under the canopy of a sun-dappled tree. In the evening, take a cruise on a canal boat before dining by candlelight to the sound of live jazz music.

A hidden gem

Great place to stay - quiet but only about 10/15 mins from the centre. The 2 hosts are really friendly and even booked us in to a lovely Italian restaurant round the corner. Would definitely recommend here for a short or long stay. … see more

Wonderful Week

Beautiful apartment in beautiful house on beautiful street! Well thought out and equipped (though perhaps couple more bowls for salad/vegetables might be good), plenty of storage space, exceedingy comfortable beds and linen, and best of all watching the boats glide by on the canal after busy day out! Perfect situation for exploring all the most historic canals and easy to get to the museums (walk if energetic, tram from station (7 minute walk) if not! Great bakery in parallel street, Organic supermarket five minute walk and two street markets even nearer (food/flowers/clothes/collectibles). Lots of eateries and bars very nearby though we self-catered most of the time as really loved people/boat watching - incredibly relaxing especially as most of the boats are electric so silent. Maarten very helpful, welcoming in person and hamper, lots of guide books and maps. Apart from the main art museums National Maritime Museum fascinating with great shop for interesting and classy presents and the Hortus Botanicus a delight. We had extremely happy week here and I would love to return.see more
Amsterdam Houseboat
Book Oasis houseboat - you’ll be glad you did!

My wife & I were in Amsterdam 6/13/19 - 6/16/19. This was her 3rd trip there and my second. She has always wanted to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam, so that was our goal this time around. After extensive research we decided to book the Oasis houseboat and we couldn’t have been more happy about our decision. The boat is clean and updated, and in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We really felt like locals staying there. The boat is close to almost everything you would want to do or see. The Central train station is a 20min walk or 5 min Uber ride. Just about everything we wanted to do was walkable, and at the most, 15-20mins away. The boat is about 5mins from a very nice grocery store and bottle shop, which gives you the option of not having to go out for every meal. The other thing we loved about the boat was that it was private, and we didn’t have to share it with other renters. When researching other houseboats, pay close attention to the fine print. Often times what you’re renting is just a bedroom, and you’ll be sharing the common spaces with other renters and/or the owners. My wife & I are in our 40s, and well past our youth/backpackers’ hostel days, so having the Oasis all to ourselves was ideal. Jennie is a very kind and hospitable host! When we checked out, Jennie contacted me to let me know that I had left behind an article of clothing, and then she was kind enough to take the time to mail it to me. Doubtful I would have gotten that kind of treatment from a major hotel chain. I’m sure one day we’ll return to Amsterdam with our kids, and when we do we’ll be returning to the Oasis! If you’re looking to get a flavor of what it’s like to live as a local in Amsterdam, and you want to be close to all that the city has to offer, book Jennie’s boat, you’ll be glad you did!see more
Seven4 Apartment - 2 bedrooms and super central
Amazing views in Central Location

Stunning large flat with beautiful expansive views over the large Amstel canal. We enjoyed the large open plan living space, nicely decorated, very warm and comfortable with great kitchen facilities to cook for our friends and eat at home. Good WiFi and Bluetooth speakers, TV but we didn’t need it. Coffee machine dishwasher and washing machine. Would be good for families as safety features / balconies on all the windows. Near the flea market, tulip market and Rembrandt square, good location for trams to get to museums and to centre, also fine to wander into town as very near to centre. In a lovely boutique neighbourhood with lots of independent shops and cafes. Bike rental on the next road and great big supermarket 8 mins walk. We really appreciated all the local tips from Simon who was there to meet us on arrival and gave us a map full of personal recommendations. Things to note: as with almost everywhere in Amsterdam, and as it’s on 3rd floor, there are a multitude of stairs, and it’s a home from home, not a hotel. All our Dutch friends were very jealous of the flat and the location and we all wished we lived there too!see more
