“Wonderful views!” Sharon and Leigh have thought of everything in this villa. Our first villa holiday and it was fab. Beautiful views across to Zante and of Mount Ainos (definitely worth a drive to the top too for the views around the island). There is everything you want there and you know beforehand which helps with the packing immensely :)
Sharon and Leigh are fab on communications too, so there are no worries. Pool man does a great job too. Thank you!
“Excellent Villa with one of the best views on the island” My wife and I booked this villa for our 'babymoon' - a nice, high spec location to get away from it all for 7 nights. We got exactly what we asked for with the villa being situated high on the side of a mountain but easily accessible by car (approx. 10 minutes to get from the villa to the major bypass outside of Nidri town). Evenings were absolutely quiet save the sounds of nature, complete peace for long sleeps.
The photos available speak for themselves so I shall say no more than they are true and accurate representations of the villa and its surroundings - no photoshop in sight. The view overlooking the bay outside of Gheni never got old, and we found ourselves choosing to spend our evenings swimming / having a BBQ on the large patio of the villa, heading down at night into Nidri as the mood took us.
The villa is on the east of the island, and whilst the best beaches such as Egremni are on the west, the drive around the south of the island (don't go north, not as pretty) was an absolute joy to drive - long, open winding mountain roads with the roof down and sun shining. Personally, I think it's better to be on the east as that's where the boats launch from (Nidri) and it has a better buzz although the south west of the island is pretty cool too. Anyway, that's for folks to decide for themselves but it worked for us.
Full disclosure - the first time you ascend the mountain road to the villa, it can be somewhat daunting if you've not had experience of such before. I didn't, but by the second day I was a pro and actually really started to enjoy the drive! Just don't rent / take a car any larger than a Suzuki Jimmy or you might run into some bother.
The villa itself was to a high standard of cleanliness, with the pool maintained regularly during our stay. Outdoor lighting was soft so as not to attract too many bugs at dinner, beautiful flowers and roses decorating the property. Shower facilities very good, wifi is solid and reliable (you won't be streaming movies, but fine for surfing and sending pics home).
The owner & contact on the island were both pleasures to liaise with, with no intrusion during our stay and very efficient checking in & out. The property has an 'honesty bar' which was very well stocked, and it's a simple request to replace what you take. Local amenities are 10m away at the bottom of the hill in Nidri, no bother. Recommend you hit up Carrfour either in Lefkadas or an express down south for higher value load-ups.
Anyway, we loved it and were very glad to be on our mountain away from it all, but only a short drive to the action when we wanted it. We'd both recommend it - just make sure you're ok with driving up a mountain (really it's no bother - just fair warning).
“A bucket list vacation” A friendly greeting and a thoughtful basket of goodies greeted us upon arrival. The Athens Heritage House was spotless, in a great location, approximately 15 minute walk from Acropolis. Carol was a tremendous resource, orchestrating travel to and from the airport, a full day private tour of the ruins with Popi (which our entire family rated as the highlight of the vacation); and a private sunset tour to the Temple of Poseidon. The house was perfect for our needs - a master bedroom with separate bedrooms / bath for the young adults who traveled with us, and a dining / living room area for light breakfast and snak.
“Brilliant holiday” Just returned from a brilliant holiday, staying at Villa Isadora. There is so much to compliment about our stay from the excellent information received from the owners to the warm welcome we received from Dimitri & the high standard of the villa & pool. I would recommend this wonderful villa for a holiday in Kefalonia & hope to return very soon.
Whether you’re looking for a hedonistic holiday filled with good food and fine wine, or want to go island-hopping in search of ancient history, Greece never disappoints. It’s the perfect romantic escape for starry-eyed lovers everywhere.
Greece is home to some of the most important and impressive historical sights in the western world. Head to Athens where you can explore the Acropolis, the Parthenon and the
Temple of Hephaestus; these stunning structures are simply breathtaking. Other historical highlights include the Ruins of Delphi, the Heraklion Archaeological Museum on the island of Crete and the Epidaurus Ancient Theatre near Ligourio.
Blue Sea & Golden Sand
With the 11th longest coastline in the world, mainland Greece certainly has its fair share of beaches. And they are stunning. Super Paradise Beach in Mykonos is, as the name implies, a long sandy bay with crystal clear water. Sarakiniko Beach in Milos and Kolymbithres Beach in Paros are secluded quiet and relaxing, while the sunsets over Balos Beach in Crete will leave you feeling awestruck.
Food & Drink
If you like a glass of wine or two, then book a tour with Santorini Wine Adventure: you’ll be a wine connoisseur before you can say “yamas”. To find out how to make a moussaka and tackle a tzatziki, join one of the many food tours and cooking classes in Greece. And to find out more about Greece’s love affair with olives, visit the Museum of the Olive and Greek Olive Oil in Sparta.

Olive Grove Villa (KP)
Ideal base for exploring
Booking was efficient and any questions were answered quickly. The owners were most helpful. Being met at the airport and taken to to villa via a supermarket was a real bonus.
A quiet location which feels very safe yet only a few minutes drive to a good supermarket and baker. Car is essential unless you plan on staying at the villa. It's well positioned toward the centre of the island making it easy to visit the islands sites.
The villa was clean and well equipped. Everything in the kitchen you might need, including sharp knives.Good sized beds which are nice and firm. Things like having a decent drying rack for washing make a good difference. The showers don't have enclosures which is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars, so you have to be careful and inevitably dry the floor afterwards.
Patios front and back with furniture mean you can catch or avoid the sun at both ends of the day. The pool is clean and well maintained. The gas BBQ is very good. …
Villa Marina, stylish comfort!
We had a lovely stay at Villa Marina. We arrived late and were met and shown around the villa. There were some basic groceries and fruit left for us which was a welcome surprise. The villa was very well stocked with plenty of condiments, cleaning products and baby essentials. We were a party of 6 with a toddler and a 12 year old. The bedrooms were well fitted and had balconies. The villa was very clean and was cleaned mid week with clean bedding and towels.
The outdoor area was brilliant, the outdoor kitchen was well appointed with a built in barbecue and pizza oven. Lovely children’s play area and swimming pool which due It being the end of the season was freezing. The only request I would have is to fence the play area to keep little ones away from the pool.
The villa is in a peaceful countryside location there were horses in the small vineyard behind us.
Everything we requested was dealt with promptly. I would highly recommend this villa. Ps I took a Amazon Firestick with me which worked fine on the TV. The TV only had UK news channels and lots of German, Spanish and Greek channels, …
Couldn`t be better
The house is beautiful. It is old but extensively and impressively renovated in 2011. The location could hardly be better. It is very near shops and restaurants of which there are plenty. It is also near a number o fine, safe beaches. We had no problems but a couple of queries were answered promptly and helpfully by Nikki, the housekeeper. …
Villa Nafsika of Penelope Villas
Great location, beautiful villa, well appointed and maintained
The villa is set in olive groves with great views along with 3 other villas set in lovely orchard gardens. It is within easy walking distance of the beach and the local amenities in Sami with a good selection of bars and restaurants. There are good supermarkets and we found an excellent butcher for the barbecue supplies. Car hire is available locally and well worth it to do some exploring. The caves at Drogarati are are close by and very interesting. The drive to Fiskardo is spectacular and well worth the effort. On the other side of Sami from the villa is the beach used in the filming of Captain Correlis mandolin which has a very nice beach club with water sports available.
Overall an excellent holiday and would thoroughly recommend the villas …
