“Wonderful villa with privacy and views” I stayed at the Villa Antonia for 1 week at the end of May with my husband and 2 children, aged 8-10. We all had a great time due in no small part to the villa and pool. The villa is situated high on a hillside with no direct neighbours and with wonderful views over Sfinari Bay. The house has shaded outdoor decks on 2 levels and a shaded sitting/lounging area next to the pool The pool is also very private and it is so relaxing to hang out there on a hot, sunny afternoon. We ate every meal outside and spent most of our free time outside as well. Because the house is terraced there isn't one big yard but there are several lawn areas big enough for kids to play on. Sfinari is a quiet village but perfect for a family seeking a calm and laid-back experience and well-situated for day trips to Fallasarna and Elafonisi beaches.
“Another great stay” This was the third time we have stayed with Irene. Accommodation is excellent, modern and well equipped. Irene's hospitality is just great - welcomed with home-made biscuits and lemonade in the garden, cleaned regularly. Pebble beach is just 100m away and the sandy town beach about 10 mins walk. Town itself is small but fairly busy and a great base for this end of the island. We took boat to Agia Roumelli and walked up/down Samaria, walked up to Anidri from Paleochora and down the Anidri gorge (lovely walk) to the mixed/naturist beach at the mouth of the gorge - nice little beach bar. Walk to Elefanosi along the coast (several really terrific, quiet beaches) and took the ferry back. On previous visits we have walked the Agia Irene gorge and also taken boat to Sougia and walked back along the coast. Have tried on several occasions to follow the descriptions in "Ten walks around Paleochora" and failed on each occasion!! We thouroughly recommend it and hopefully we will be back next year.
