“Excellent accomodation, beutiful views, attentive hosts” We received excellent service from our hosts Stavros and Antonia. The villa was one of four all with beautiful views, situated within a five minute walk from the centre of Agia Efimia, where there were a very good selection of tavernas where we had lovely meals. There are 3 small supermarkets where you could purchase a good range of products The villa had everything one would need for a very comfortable stay, with plenty of inside and outside space. There is a small pool shared by the four villas with sunbeds and parasols

“Great place for lovers or a group of friends” Truly fantastic apartments. Very clean and nicely finished. The balcony from every apartment opens out to the sea where my husband and I spent many hours relaxing and enjoying the view. The property is a five minute drive just south of Skala in a quiet, rural area of immense natural beauty. It was nice to be close to the amenities of the town while being in a noise-free area with lots of privacy. The front of the house faces green countryside and a mountain, while the back of the house faces onto a sandy beached sea. Whatever you do, do not miss taking a walk along the shore from apartment to the southern most tip of the island. The sunset is breathtakingly beautiful. The sun seems as if it is falling off the edge of the earth and the colors are magnificent.

“A Real Gem!” I can honestly say this was one of the best holidays we've ever had. We were 2 families with 2 teenagers and we all loved it. The cottage was really lovely, tastefully decorated and more like a real home than a rental villa. It was spotlessly clean and we were really looked after by Soula (Spiros's Mum) who was lovely. The cottage has thick old stone walls which kept it fairly cool and there is an air conditioning unit upstairs which kept the bedrooms cool at night so we were never too hot. We had everything we needed at the cottage. As other people have mentioned, there are mosquitos but the cottage has mosquito nets on every window so you can have all the windows open with no problem. As long as you use insect repellent its fine. The upside is that we didn't see a single wasp during the whole 10 days we were there!!! Also, Soula provided mosquito candles for the outside area which worked well. The garden is really lovely, a big patio surrounded by Olive trees so its really private. The garden had banana trees and lots of pots planted with lovely flowers and herbs and its all tucked away down a little footpath. There are butterflies and the odd tiny lizard and there is plenty of outdoor seating, a large table and shade to sit and enjoy meals in the beautiful surroundings. Just a 5 minute walk from the cottage through the Olive Grove is one of the loveliest beaches on the island, Marmari, with crystal clear waters and plenty of shade from the Olive trees, beautiful. There is also another beach with a Taverna within a 5 minute walk, Levrechio. A short walk from the cottage through the Olive groves and past the beaches bring you to the lovely harbour town of Loggos. We visited Gaios and Lakka which were bigger than Loggos but we felt Loggos was the best of them all. Its a really pretty little place with lots of lovely places to eat, a fantastic bakery, plenty of places to sit by the water for a drink and about 3 small supermarkets that provide everything you need and they even deliver your food to the villa with no charge! The food on the island was excellent, not expensive, always beautifully fresh and served with a smile. We ate at various places but Soulas sons Taverna, Tollis, was definitely the best and they really looked after us there. We didn't hire a car and didn't miss it. We used a Taxi firm recommended by Spiros and the local buses which was were fine and cheaper! There is plenty to do and see on Paxos, we highly recommend a trip to the tiny Island of Anti Paxos which was truly like being paradise and also hiring a little boat for the day to go round Paxos and see all the little coves and swim in the turquoise waters. Spiros was excellent at answering all our emails and questions before the holiday and all in all it was the perfect holiday for us. A beautiful, friendly, safe and unspoilt Island and we will definitely be returning to Nikolaki Stone Cottage again and again!
