“A cottage for all seasons - just perfect!” Honeysuckle cottage really is perfect. It is beautifully appointed, in a wonderful location and the owners couldn't be more attentive in their efforts to ensure you have a lovely stay. It certainly exceeded our expectations and our 2 year old loved it.
The garden is beautiful for the warmer months (sadly May proved to be a little chilly!) but it doubtless is a cottage which could be enjoyed at any time, with the cosy reception rooms and log burner.
Don't delay... Book your break in this wonderful holiday home (though please save a week for us!).
“Best place we've ever stayed!” This place was a little slice of heaven, with the most amazing views: lovely large garden, fields all around and a beautiful church at the bottom of the garden! Inside the cottage was perfect with everything we needed: great kitchen, lots of games for the evenings in front of the fire, books to read, and gorgeous bedrooms!! We really didn't want to leave, and loved every minute! The dogs were happy too, made to feel very welcome with a secure garden and some welcome biscuits! We walked most days direct from the cottage down to the river for some stunning walks: the owner Christine provided us with maps and lots of info on dog-friendly places to eat on the way. Honestly the best place we've stayed in, so sad to leave! Thank you Christine xx
“The Best Honeymoon I Could Wish For” The Old School House sits next to a church in a beautiful, quiet countryside. The idyllic environment lends itself to utter relaxation while supplying all the modern amenities to keep guests comfortable. The host does an exemplary job of catering to visitors' needs while also supplying a basket of local goodies to welcome you. With a location just down the road from a grocer and no more than twenty minutes drive to local Cotswold towns, this proved to be the best base for day travels and the wisest self-catering option for any guest.
“Bliss!” Stayed for 5 nights and wanted to stay longer. Shame about the weather but to be honest we didn't go for the weather. We went for a break and it definately ticked all the boxes. Stunning location, cottage, 5* service......we couldn't fault anything. Would love to go back again. Extremely friendly owner who knew just how to give you a lovely relaxing break. Can't think of anything negative. If you are looking for a few days, week or two it is the best location. Even with the wet weather we encountered while we were staying at the cottage it was so nice to come back to the house and lay back and enjoy the St Michael Mount View!! Absolately stunning. Lovely location - nothing too far to travel to - couldn't have been better. Hope to go back sometime soon.
“Home away from home” We stayed at Anvil Cottage for 4 nights in August and what a wonderful little cottage it is. Beautifully decorated with everything we needed for our stay - including a bottle of wine and some milk! Thanks to Julia for her thoughtfulness and for the use of the cottage which is in a fantastic location close to the town centre but in a quiet little courtyard and it has on site parking as well - safe and secure. We were extremely comfortable and are sorry we couldn't have stayed longer - highly recommend.
“Comfortable home.” We stayed here for 10 nights in Sep/Oct and found the house very comfortable and the courtyard sitting area a lovely suntrap and good shelter from the wind! The location is quiet but you do need bikes to get around if you do not want to use the car all the time. We cycled to a few restaurants at lunch time but had to use the car in the evenings. This is no way a negative remark as it is clearly stated in the advertising. The management agents were both very friendly and nothing seemed to be much trouble for them.
“Mrs” I fell a little bit in love with this property. Top class all the way. Everything we needed and more... loved the wild horses in the adjoining fields& how friendly and kind the neighbour was.Would definitely return to this property and thoroughly recommend. I also left something behind foolishly and they were extremely accommodating in posting this back to me. Thank you again Hannah...
“Lovely cosy cottage with everything we needed for holiday” Communication from owners was clear and prompt. We have 4 dogs and they arranged a stair gate for us on request and the wine and chocolate was a nice welcome. Cottage was perfect with a lovely wood burner, all we needed in the kitchen, an extremely comfy bed and lots of hot water for long baths after a walk. The town had all the amenities and there were some lovely walks along the canal. The surrounding area was stunning and we visited Alderley Edge and Lyme Park several times for excellent dog walks. Just a great holiday.
“Family holiday” Booked the cottage for a family holiday was very pleased when I entered the house was immaculate and smelled so fresh massive back yard plenty of space spoiled for choice with the 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is located in the perfect location just a 5 minute walk into town and 15 minute walk to the beach would book again in a heart beat
“Wonderful, relaxing, enjoyable stay in a charming rural French cottage!” Judith and Jeremy made us feel really welcome with a beautifully homemade cake to greet us on our arrival. The cottage was better equipped than we expected and really comfortable and clean. The location is idyllic with fabulous views over the French countryside perfect for walks. Their land and surrounding area was ideal for picnics and exploring the lake in the owner’s boat was great fun! The garden provided a secluded area for sunbathing and swimming in their new pool. There is also lots of games and sports equipment you can use in their games room as well. We really enjoyed our time at Penderff and look forward to visiting again in the future.
“Cosy, spotlessly clean, so comfortable and peaceful” A 5 day break in midwinter, slight delay in setting up heating efficiently remedied with quick phone call. This cottage is set in a quiet courtyard, our dogs were quickly settled in the entry utility at the front dood, and adored the log burner we lit each evening. All furnishings are clean and comfortable, including lounge furnishings beds etc The cottage is just so cosy with the central heating and the benefit of a warm bathroom and full size bath with shower. We are unexpectedly pleased that there was good wi fi connection. Kitchen has all utensils, including freezer large enough to store ready meals etc Booking really efficient and helpful.,with tips on walks/pubs etc Thankyou!
“A pretty, cosy and comfortable cottage in a beautiful location.” This cottage was as described, and provided us with a pleasant, cosy base to be with friends and explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast.
“Outstanding stay in a fabulous cottage and stunning location” Whitfield Bothy Cottage is in my opinion an outstanding property and well worth a trip. Emma's attention to detail is faultless, even down to a very considerate and generous welcome pack on arrival (including treats for adults, the children and even our dog). The cottage is cosy, but very cleverly designed to maximise its potential, and there are most amenities there for your use. My only concern before our holiday was the lack of tumble dryer - but I needn't have worried - the combination of a wood burning stove and central heating meant getting laundry dry was of no issue. The location of the cottage is out of this world and there is so much to explore both within the immediate locality of the cottage and also further afield. A trip to Coldingham Bay is highly recommended (it is walkable from the cottage, and well worth doing so). St Abbs, Eyemouth to see the seals in the harbour, and Berwick are also definitely worth a visit. Absolutely loved every second of our time at the Bothy. The only improvement I could see would be possibly putting a chest of drawers or some form of storage on the mezzanine level to store the kids clothes so not all clothing had to put in the one bedroom, and there is certainly enough room on the landing to do so. The lack of this is not a criticism - there is more than enough storage space in the bedroom, and this is only a suggestion (to allow my kids to have been more independent when it came to getting ready in a morning!).
“A great wee cottage literally a stone's throw from the harbour” A really homely cottage with two bedrooms (one double, one 2 bunk bed). Lovely little terrace to rear can be a real sun trap when weather plays nicely. Easy to park on street (no restrictions) directly outside the cottage. Crail never gets too busy. At top if a flight if steps down to harbour. Owners clearly out a lot if care and thought into this property. Nothing hasn't been thought of. Highly recommend both Crail and no 16 Westgate.
“Great property, great location” The property is spacious and comfortable It is in an ideal location for exploring South Uist and neighbouring islands. The property looks out over the sea to Eriskay and there are plenty of opportunities for spotting wildlife.
“Haven from the rat-race” Wonderful cottage, fell in love with HUGE leather sofa, views, the quiet, the poolside cups of tea at 8.00 a.m. (yes in March - very sheltered). A bit of an uphill hike over muddy fields to the quintessential Tissington but the walk back very easy (go figure!). Just a fabulous place to be, well equipped cottage, warm and snug - except for the kitchen which was a bit chilly underfoot, just take your slippers though and the view from the window will be worth the chilblains! Owners not on site for our weekend but reading the visitor's book and my own on-line virtual relationship you will very well looked after without interference I am sure.
“Wonderful house in a wonderful location.” The Longhouse was everything we had hoped for, and more. The owners had provided so many extras to make our stay special, from the welcome pack to the generous supply of towels for the hot tub. It was like a home from home - only so much nicer than our own home! Everything was high quality, and the living room was so spacious that it never felt crowded, even with eight adults staying there. A great place to stay - and the Shetland ponies at the bottom of the garden just made it even more special.
“wow” We stayed at this cottage for three days -wish it had been longer. This is a well equipped cottage, well furnished and more like a hotel. It is placed, away from the crowds but handy for local beaches, walks and amenities. We had meals out every night and would recommend the following:- Anns Pantry in Moelfre, The Beachcomber in Benllech and The Tavern at St Davids Caravan Site, Red Wharf Bay. The rest of Anglesey is in easy reach. Directions to property are easily followed . Hope to visit again. Graeme/Mary
“Perfect escape to the country” Lovely cottage, a heart-warming blend of old world charm and 21st century comforts. The welcome basket was a treat, including freshly baked 'real' bread. The cottage is set in a friendly little village with 2 pubs and a well stocked village shop. On our first day we walked to Mary Arden's Farm, which is just around the corner. We returned on our last day, it was so nice and quiet. The 'park&ride' into Stratford is very relaxing. The second loo is a luxury, as is the sunny little garden. Amazing theatre too: As You Like it!
“great location” Right in the centre of Croyde village, with parking - a major advantage in Croyde.
A nice cottage with a decent sized kitchen. The weather wasn't kind but we went surfing anyway- walking distance. We also went horse riding on Exmoor.
We had a great week ,it would have been idylic if it was suny but thats England for you.I would go back though as Croyde is the best surfing beach that's closest to London - Under 4 hours away on a good day!
Good pubs in walking distance and Shops as well.
“Lovely relaxing break” We had a lovely week at Sandford cottage, very comfortable and homely. Close to a lot of lovely areas to explore.
The cottage was well equipped and the greeting of wine and chocolates was a very nice touch. Peter and Bev were very friendly and helpful when needed.
The nature around the cottage was lovely with the deer and badgers. A very peaceful spot, perfect to relax and have a bbq.
Thank you Bev and Peter for a lovely stay.

“Everything you need” This is the second year we have spent christmas at the cottage and totally love it, it's so relaxing just switch of and enjoy,
The cottage is so well equipped don't need to bring a thing with you,it's so warm and cosy, perfect position in the heart of the village,a lot going on even in winter, would highly recommend, and will return this year at some point,
Thank you once again Dianne who's so helpful.
“A quiet getaway” The barn was a terrific find and all that we had hoped for. It was a peaceful stay in lovely surroundings. The accommodation was spotless and facilities excellent. We will definitely stay again.
“A wonderfully comfortable and cosy cottage” Never been to Hay before and picked this cottage because of the lovely photos - definitely the right choice. It's in a quiet, peaceful cul-de-sac but very central so easy walking distance to the shops.
The cottage itself was cosy, clean and extremely comfortable (especially the beds) and fully equipped. Great shower too. There's a lovely garden - although given the time of year it was sadly too cold to sit out.
Great welcome from the owners who couldn't have been more knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely pay a return visit.
