“A well equiped and comfortable chalet in a great location.” The chalet was warm and comfortable and came equiped with all the modern conveniences including a large TV with a DVD collection for both children and adults.
The location is just out of town in a quiet wooded area. There was a lot of snow but access to the chalet was maintained regularly by a snow plough. (snow chains are still essential!)
My partner and I stayed with our 3 children and we all had a great time.
For such a small resort Filzmoos has a lot to offer and I'd recommend the resort and this chalet for anyone with children.
“A fabulous chalet in a great location close to ski lifts” We stayed here as two families with children ranging from 4-9. The chalet was amazing, very modern with great views into Morzine and views of the Pleney Slope. The chalet was short of nothing, lovely and warm and very comfortable. Morzine was brilliant for family skiing as we're were all beginners. We would recommend this chalet to anyone.
“Quiet - great scenery - wonderful stretch of river for the boating activities” The chalets are basic but comfortable - there is lots of shaded space for lounging around outside overlooking the river and the rocky as well as vine clad h;ills. The sailing is great - and there are also canoes and kayaks available (free in 2013). José is a good host - discreet but available and always willing to help you get the best from your holiday. DO say 'yes' if he suggests fish soup......!
“We ❤️ Marigold” We had a truely blissful week in the company of the utterly charming Marigold! The pictures do not do it justice! it is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need. From a fully supplied kitchen to hot water bottles in knitted jackets (too cute!). I was disappointed we never needed to use them as it was lovely and warm. The heating had been set perfectly for these chiller evenings. I would never get bored with the view from any window in Marigold. I woke up one night and couldn't resist the urge to get up and look out at the night sky from every window. Magical! We spent a day just sat in the wonderful garden in total peace and quiet. I was sorely tempted to try the trampoline out ......next time . As much as we loved Marigold, we did manage to drag yourselves away to visit the surrounding area including Rame Head, (stunning) and of course we took the cliff path down to Whitsand Bay (a couple of times) It was a bit of a trek but so worth the effort. I could say so much more! But before I go I must mention the personal touches from the owners. A lovely welcome gift and a text message to make sure we had arrived safely. Most thoughtful! We will definitely be back :)
“Great base to visit North Wales” Had a wonderful 4 days at Kestrel cottage. The rooms were stylish, cozy, clean and kitchen well stocked. The views are stunning. Beth was very hospitable and was keen to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The hot tub was an added luxury and so welcoming at the end of a long day sightseeing. We visited Swallow Falls, Portmerion, Conwy castle and enjoyed the Ffestiniog train also. The cottage is very private and not overlooked by any neighbours apart from the sheep that visited us each morning. I would definitely choose this cottage again and recommend to anyone travelling to North Wales.
“looks can be deceiving” had an amazing ski holiday in February and your chalet was absolutely perfect! On arrival we were so pleasantly surprised at the fantastic use of space as the photos show it looks very small from the outside but the use of space over three levels made it feel spacious, it was a comfortable stay, always warm and cosy, yet with enough space to host a dinner for 10 people one night and the location was perfect, we had previously stayed on the other side of the valley however with the suspension bridge as a link it took no time at all to reach the town. I would definitely stay in your chalet again and appreciate how easy you made planning our holiday.
“A little bit of luxury overlooking the beach".” I have just returned from a few days break in this beautifully appointed lodge. It really is a "Little bit of luxury overlooking the beach". The nearby fishing harbour is unspoilt and has its own pretty pub called "The Haven" with good food, and at the other end of the small walkway/promenade alongside the beach is a Restaurant/Cafe called "The Noisy Lobster" with direct sea views. From the harbour there are regular small ferries to take you across to
Hengistbury Head and Christchurch. What a lovely relaxing time I had.
