“Excellent stay in every way” Booked a holiday for the wife, the dog and me.
On arrival you notice the great sea views straight away.
After a long beach dog walk I could have.
A warm down in the indoor heated swimming pool.
I used the free wifi to upload photos to my blog.
The kitchen has all mod cons to cook and clear
up after a hearty breakfast.
Plenty of places to visit.
Fish and chips always tastes nicer by the sea.
Another evening we enjoyed the new Coast restaurant at Coppet beach.
Had a good nights kip in a comfy bed with en-suite.
Trying hard to find fault, but cannot.
Simply had a great time!
“Fantastic, A++++” What a lovely place to stay!
We stayed in Honeysuckle cottage in early May 2013 and couldn't have wished for a better place to call home for the week. The cottage is fantastically equipped and beautifully decorated.
Our two Labrador's had a wonderful time and the careful planning of the owners meant they were able to roam free in the bottom section of the garden and courtyard in total safety.
Upon leaving we completed a questionnaire and could not think of a single negative.
The Cottage is situated down a secluded lane, yet it is only a short drive to the seaside town of Mevagissey, the main shops of St Austell etc.
We would love to return and would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone looking to stay in Cornwall.
“Wonderful house” We stayed here to celebrate an 80th birthday, the party consisted of eleven people aged from 4 months to 80 and one dog. The house was perfectly suited to everyone with well equipped kitchen. It was an easy walk to shops, restaurants, beach and pier. Our stay lived up to our expectations and we hope to stay again.
“Wonderful stay” Just back from a lovely stay in this wonderful cosy cabin. Everything you could need was thought of within the contents. Was lovely cosy and clean when we arrived. We stayed as a family of 5 and our family dog for 3 nights and really wish we had booked longer. Lovely site close to lots of places to visit. We will be back again soon thank you xx
“Fantastic” We stayed three nights in this sweet little cottage. Found it really clean and well equipped. Minor blip was a leaky boiler but reported it to the owners Mother who was willing to sort it straight away ( owner was out of he country during our stay ) As it wasn't a major problem it was decided to wait until our three days were up to get fixed and it caused us no problems at all . Lovely extras provided is milk & wine in fridge and lovely furnishings and towels. Hope to return next year for another visit .
“A land of surprises” This property is located right in the heart of Portrush very close to the harbour. It is quite compact but was very comfortable for our needs.
There is parking available a couple of streets away but if you can get a space, it is probably a little more convenient to park at the harbour.
The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. There is a little street noise but then this property is right in the thick of things so this is to be expected.
We were more than happy with it and would certainly return in the future
“Beautiful location” We had a fantastic week and appreciated the welcome goodies. The weather was a bit hit and miss but we enjoyed hiring bikes down the Camel Trail to Padstow and exploring the coast. The view is amazing and the barn is well equipped and comfortable, located down quiet lanes but very quick to get back to the main road.
“Gorgeous, clean, modern house in a fabulous location” This house is also very family friendly. A high chair, travel cot, children's plates and cutlery were provided along with games suitable for the whole family. The only thing missing was a stair gate! Through information and recommendations were provided by the managers. Kashmir Indian restaurant and the ice cream at Avon Beach were enjoyed by all.
“White fluffy towels and very friendly welcome” We visited Seldom Seen for the first weekend in February half term, we needed to get away and were hoping to escape some of the grey rain and floods we'd been experiencing. We last came here 15 years ago and have very fond memories of the town.
We met the owner at the sweet shop Bon Bon in Brixham- Rachel was so welcoming and walked us up to the apartment and showed us around. The children were completely won over by the goodie bags left for them (and I was quite happy with the box of fudge!)
The apartment is immaculate with crisp white sheets and fluffy towels. Little touches like a pint of milk in the fridge and tea and (proper) coffee available were very welcomed. It also had lots of facilities, washing machine, hairdryer and WiFi! So many cottages do not even have soap in the handbasins (handwash in each all three-fab!). Nothing was forgotten.
The apartment is a very short walk up some steps from Brixham centre. The view is across to the fish market and Crab Quay restaurant (we ate there and can recommend the food) with the sea view above. Lovely views of the fishing boats coming and going. The location is perfect spot for strolling around town, we walked to Breakwater beach and then on the south west coast path to Elberry Cove and back to Brixham through Churston, on the way we saw a seal- the children were amazed!
The weather held up for us to but on the drizzly day we sat in the coziness of the lounge and watched a film in front of the (electric but very realistic) fire.....
Will definitely visit again.
“Exceptional property in magnificent scenery” Exceptional in location, cleanliness and ambience of bungalow. From the picture window overlooking Inner Dundrum Bay across the lane and the Mourne Mountains, you may not wish to leave the comfy chairs at all. The welcome food on arrival set us up from the start, and the facilities and equipment provided were best we've seen. Thoughtful touches such as binoculars catered for all our needs. Opening curtains in the morning provided a different array of birds each time; swans, egrets, shellducks, curlews, heron for starters, dependent on tide level. Within walking distance of Murlough Nature Reserve for beach walks, shell collecting, seal-spotting; we counted over 60 seals at eastern-most end of Reserve. Dundrum village, 15 minutes walk away, with its castle ruins, has small supermarket and various eateries; would recommend Blue Bay Cafe (daytime) and Maghera Inn at Maghera for evening meals, menu available online. If you love the countryside, quiet and enjoy observing nature, this is for you. We stayed a week and had plenty to do in the immediate area too; Strangford Lough is 30 minutes drive and the ferry across the Narrows is an experience to savour. Also the scenic drive through the Mournes, the St Patrick Centre at Downpatrick, Down County Museum if wet. We came home with a sun-tan, though had expected to be rusty! Enjoy!!!
“Ideal For Our Family Holiday” Really happy with everything about our stay from start to finish. Communication leading up to our stay was excellent, as was the handy guide that had been left in the cottage.
The whole place was very clean and we felt at home straight away. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen area was very spacious and everything was very safe for our soon to be three-year-old twin girls.
The location was fantastic for what we were looking for. The New Forest Pub (Fullers) is literally outside the door and the Happy Cheese is five minutes up the road, both of which did good food and were family friendly. There was also a Co-op a short drive away to pick up supplies.
We also spent days at Paultons Park (Peppa Pig World) and Beaulieu, both of which were a 20 minute drive away which was great. We were also just down the road from the more 'foresty' areas of the New Forest such as Bolderwood.
I would 100% recommend Rufus Cottage to anyone looking to stay in this area and hope we'll be back again in the future.
“Nice apartment in a great location.” This apartment is in a great location close to the beach and park for the kids. It is also next to the spar which has everything you need. The apartment is roomy and has everything you need for a great stay. I would say that the only down side for me was the stairs up to the apartment and inside as I have a small child who has just started to walk.
“Mr” What a great find this place was! The property is absolutely immaculate and in a nice quiet location.
Had great fun for the week we stayed and the weather was good.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!
I wish all properties were like this!
“The most beautiful house in Keswick” What a wonderful place to stay. The views from the house were breathtaking. It is beautifully appointed, spacious, warm and comfortable. Well situated for excellent walking and exploring in our favourite area. The weather was fine all week - no rain or wind with plenty of sunshine. Perfect! Many thanks to Helen. How can you bear to allow holiday guests to stay in your stunning house? A real gem - every member of the family would like to return.
PS The website provides loads of accurate information and superb photographs.
“Could not fault the property” The property was in a very good location, and the apartment was excellent, no attention to detail was too much for Maggie Abel, she really cares about the property and was really welcoming.
“Wonderful large family house in a picturesque location” We stayed at Harbourview for a new year break with a large group of friends. The house was beautifully presented and easily large enough for a large group (11). The weather unfortunately was atrocious but given the large size of the house we easily entertained 5 children playing hide and seek and various games, also the very large TV kept the kids amused. The kitchen was of an extremely high standard and large enough to cook and entertain. Given the weather we only sampled the large hot tub a few times but it was a great experience hot tubbing in the rain!!
To sum up, wonderful large house in a beautiful location.
“Excellent location and excellent facilities” A superb location with good walks along the disused railway tracks both into town and alongside the river Greta with beautiful countryside. The cottage was excellent with everything you could want and even the weather was good!
“Perfect place to relax” This was our second visit and new new owners have maintained the excellent standards. Everything we needed was there both in the house and in the area too. Animals and birds all around and great walks from the door and also just a short drive away. Thoroughly recommended!
“The best holiday rental property we have ever stayed in!” We were delighted with this beautiful cottage let. set in beautiful surroundings close to the family farm. Wendy had thought of everything. We were welcomed with a lovely welcome pack, including an Easter egg! The cottage was extremely spacious, clean and had every modern convenience. It was extremely well decorated and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Its location makes it ideal for those who want to tour the Trossachs, St Andrews, Loch Lomond and Stirling City itself. We have a list of places to visit the next time we go. The price of the property was great value for money, we were so comfortable with every facility provided, indeed if the weather had been wet, we would have been more than happy to remain indoors, as there were plenty of books to read, games to play and a supply of DVDs. All in all the best self catering accommodation we have booked in the UK and we have already made a reservation for next Easter!
“Beautiful Cottage” We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Broadway. The village is beautiful and "The Old Grocery" is in a perfect location at the top of the high street, a 10 minute stroll from the centre.
The accommodation is superb, very well equipped and well presented. It's is very spacious and the bedrooms are a good size, all of which are en-suit.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking to stay in Broadway and we hope to visit again next year.
“Stunning, superb, stylish and sumptuous Barn” Bamburgh Barn is a beautiful oasis for rest and relaxation. It has been finished to a very high standard and has quality fixtures and fittings. It's location is superb with fantastic views of the castle and is a short walk to the beach. It is close to the local shops, butchers and restaurants.
“Relaxing” Stunning view from the apartment and close to all local amenities. The apartment contained everything you would need and is simply home from home. The owner was easy to contact and made the booking process seamless. I would thoroughly recommend a stay!
The United Kingdom is like a delicious, four-course dinner: each dish has its own distinctive flavour, but together, they create an unforgettable experience. From Scotland’s dramatic landscapes and England’s country lanes, to the lush valleys of Wales and rugged coast of Northern Ireland, prepare to be dazzled by all the UK has to offer.
The United Kingdom boasts an array of cities to explore, all with different personalities. The ancient city walls of York and Chester reveal the England of medieval times, while industrial powerhouses-turned-nightlife-hubs like Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool celebrate the UK’s technological pedigree. Other jewels include captivating Edinburgh, cosmopolitan Cardiff, historic Canterbury and delightful St David’s, the UK’s smallest city.
Quiet & Quaint
While the honey-coloured cottages and historic market towns of the Cotswolds never fail to win over visitors, seclusion can be found in many other corners of the UK. There’s the pure, soul-stirring beauty of England’s Lake District and Wales’ Snowdonia National Park, or the Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Coast To Coast
As an island nation, the UK seaside has a special place in the hearts of its inhabitants. Traditional amusement arcades and donkey rides are best enjoyed in resorts like Blackpool, Scarbrough and Skegness. For quiet coves and incredible seafood, Cornish towns like Padstow are rivalled only by the unbelievable beaches and produce of Scotland.

Eagle Bay Cottages
A worrying start to the holiday with our ferry being cancelled but was reassured and helped out with calls and emails from Kathleen. We arrived late in the evening and recieved a lovely welcome and tour of the cottage by David. Both of us were took back on how beautiful and luxurious this cottage was with no small detail overlooked and a well come hamper to die for. The view out of the windows the next morning was the icing on the cake, absolutely beautiful.
We toured most of the island and it lived up to our expectations , I have travelled the world and must say this is one of the best places I have stayed in,
Thank you Kathleen and david …

Characterful cottage in Wales
This has been our second visit to this charming cottage set in the heart of the welsh countryside . Surrounded by fields and with beautiful views of the hills it has been the perfect place for us to relax and unwind . The cottage is well equipped and has a charming mixture of traditional and contemporary styles . The claw foot bath in the master bedroom and the log burning stove in the lounge are my favourite features .
We look forward to returning again in the future . …
Hardwick House-Dalby Cottage

Rural countryside convenient for local towns and beauty spots!
The location was amazing, quiet and rural with the Cotswold Water Park within easy reach. Also, quite close to town of Swindon and Outlet Village, the M4 and within close proximity to Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. There are so many places to visit, we will have to return to see more of them and we are already thinking about returning next year.
The lodge is spacious for 2 people with a fully fitted kitchen for self-catering if required. Everything is of very good quality especially the sofas, the comfy bed, bedding and the hot tub (for additional charge).
The owner was very friendly and helpful, even recommending a local physio to treat my husband's trapped nerve. She also recommended places to eat locally.
As new visitors to the area, some information about local attractions would have been helpful.
We would highly recommend this property.
Thank you! …

Exceptional House, Location & Facilities
This was the perfect setting for a Hen Party of 28 people with a range of ages from 25 through to 75. The settings are spectacular and the house has everything you could need. The pub facilities made the weekend and provided a great focal point for the weekend, but equally there was plenty of space to relax and unwind. Will definitely be back in the future …
