“Wonderful cottage, great location to explore” We loved our stay at this cottage, it has everything you need for a great base to explore. Only downside was the pub at the end of the road was shut! This is a great cottage if you have dogs....only tiny niggle for us, not having dogs, was the cottage had a faint smell of damp dog... but didn't stop us enjoying our stay...Karen was excellent in communication and very helpful. would highly recommend.
“What a Find” What a top place to spend a holiday. The location is very picturesque. The apartment itself is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and stocked with loads of condiments to help with cooking a meal. The beds were very comfortable as well.
The city of Bath is easily reached either by a boat on the Avon canal, local bus or a lovely walk along the canal which is scenic and easy. There are several nice pubs/restaurants within walking distance too.
Paul and Cristina were wonderful hosts. They provided lots of information to help make the most of your stay. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. The bottle of wine and bikkies were very much appreciated!! Bathampton is a most lovely part of the world and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend people to stay at your apartment,
We would love to return one day,
“Gorgeous Base.” Just back home from a really lovely long weekend away at Mowhay Barn. The barn was beautifully presented and immaculately clean. The location was great for us to get to everywhere we needed.
“Can't wait to return to Meri Cottage!” If you are looking for a cottage that combines character with comfort in a beautiful Peak District village, you've come to the right place. We find that cottages tend to be one or the other but this has the best of both worlds. It has a lovely woodburner + additional modern heating so we didn't have to worry about getting cold. The kitchen is really well equipped and easy to use. Some cottages are dark but Meri Cottage is bright, spacious and welcoming. There is a fantastic shop next door which sells all sorts of lovely things and the staff are really friendly. We didn't try any of the pubs but there seems to be lots of choice if you want to eat out. It is a perfect location for walking in the glorious countryside and we can't wait to return.
“What a find! Brilliant house” Bay view is exactly what it says , the views were stunning, the house was fantastic have been going away with my family for years ,this is the best house yet!
Loads of room for kids , plenty of space in kitchen to eat.
Safety deposit refunded very quick.
Can't find a bad thing to say about bay view!!

“Best short break had in years, only wish we'd had longer there” For anyone who is looking for a short break in the Cotswolds in Bourton on the water, you cannot go wrong with this lovely quaint cottage in an idyllic location, just a short walk from the shops, restaurants & attractions. The cottage is beautifully laid out, very clean and the owner has gone to great lengths to cover every eventuality for you to have the best stay possible (the bed is especially comfy). The fridge and cupboards are stocked with essentials on arrival, there are menus and advice on good places to visit. And for the unlucky people who stay there and have rough weather, Hilary has supplied various cd's, board games, books and dvd's to entertain everyone. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough, my only regret is I didn't spend enough time there. Can't wait to go again
“Fantastic Hosts” Even before we arrived Chris helped us with our arrival and how to find the Moorings. The property was spotlessly clean and was well equipped. The location is good being only a mile from Fort William and car parking is right outside the door. Chris and Da were very helpful on advice on where to visit and places to eat. Chris even lent us his walking poles to help us climb Ben Nevis which is close by. We will not forget that day for a while, it is a real challenge up and down. We would certainly recommend this property for a couple and is a good base for visiting the area.
“Perfect holiday home” Cardon house beat my expectations, it was much more than what i had expected. Its a beautifuly and tastefully decorated house, with all the amenities provided. We were a family of 12 and a toddler and there was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped, with dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster , gas burners with oven and grill. The crockery, cutlery was more than adequate and there were even cutglasses for whiskey,wine,champagne,port..... Everything that one needs in a home was provided. Caroline and Donald are perfect hosts.A couple of days before we were to reach we remembered to ask Caroline if there was a baby cot.She arranged one for us at no extra cost.We wanted to do a BBQ and Donald immediately brought his 2 BBQ sets( as they live next door).
“Lovely little find .” Had a pleasant and a relaxing stay, welcome pack and information on arrival(was a nice thought ) .Everything you could require was supplied. Enjoyed great days out in Somerset and surrounding area.
“Beautiful Accomodation” The house is situated in an excellent location, the views take your breath away from both lounge and 1st floor bedrooms, tastefully decorated and finished to a very high standard. Would definately stay in this house again.
“A memorable week spent with all the family in a lovely house.” Hafn is a lovely house in a stunning location, The sea views from the house are spectacular and the house has a warm much- loved feel about it. For the past five years we have spent New Year together with our children and grandchildren and we all agree that this is our favourite place.Every year our list of criteria seems to get longer and Hafn ticked all the boxes! We had a delicious meal at the Seacroft which is a short walk from the house, as well as enjoying a meal at the White Eagle. The owners were extremely helpful and the information they provide about the house, places to eat and things to do is first class.
“Wow !!!” What a delightful cottage. The welcome pack is as wonderful as previously mentioned, not only the home made brownies, but also a fresh loaf, butter, local eggs and bacon, as well as orange juice, milk, butter, beer and wine. We didn't need to go out for food for a couple of days. The cottage is really tastefully decorated and all to a superiour quality. The kitchen is well equipped with crockery and cutlery to spare so you wouldn't have to wash up immediately after every meal, even if there were 7 staying there. My husband went for a run most mornings, out of the lane, turn left and within 10 minutes soft jogging was out on the open forest. His aim was to follow the disused railway line but didn't manage on this trip. We visited Hatchets Pond, lots of ponies, a donkey and foal, and even a few cows. One trip there we spotted a pair of Oyster Catchers. We had a delightful drive around Beaulieu and East End one day when it was raining, but most of the week it was dry. We had a lovely lunch in a cafe in Barton on Sea, and also had a short walk in Milton on Sea taking photographs of the Isle of Wight and the Needles. This is a wonderful place to stay and Katrin and Ashley make you feel more like welcome invited guests than holidayers. We have just returned to work but are already planning our next visit.
“A lovely, spacious house and garden in walking distance of great beaches.” This house is even better than it looks, and that's rare. Lots of space for everyone inside and out, with a great farmhouse kitchen. Comfortable in every way, the owner (who is lovely) has thought of everything; she did everything she could to make our holiday perfect.
Fantastic walks through woods or a short stroll from a National Trust car park to two amazing beaches, an historic pub with terrific food, and a cafe at the harbour serving delicious cakes and crab sandwiches. What more can you ask? We even went kayaking from Stackpole Quay to Baranfundle Bay, canoeing in and out of caves and admiring the cliff rock formations from sea level. All of us loved the house and it was an important part of keeping young and old happy for two weeks.
“Beautiful accommodation in lovely location” Cragowlet House East is very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. There are wonderful views over Loch Long and plenty of walking from the front door. The apartment is close to Loch Lomond, Helensburgh, Glasgow, Inverary, and much more. Plenty to see and do.
The accommodation is comfortable and very tastefully decorated to reflect the abundance of period features. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain. A beautiful period property with all modern conveniences. We hope to return.
“The owners have thought of everything!” The best equipped holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Very comfortable, warm and so quiet. A good base for exploring Lewis and Harris but great to spend a restful afternoon as well. So many nice touches about the property and homemade cake and a bottle of wine to welcome us when we arrived. Highly recommended.
“Great cottage which is cosy and warm with views from the conservatory to die for.” Five of us hired Lusta for one week in May. Only one of our party had visited the Isle of Skye previously. My brother and his wife had stayed in the village of Stein (just down the hill from Lusta) each year for the last 3 years and had fallen in love with the island. Lusta was cosy and warm from arrival until leaving a week later. The views from the conservatory over the loch are stunning, particularly in the evenings, regardless of weather. We purchased our food in the co-op in Portree as we passed through on our way to the cottage as we catered for ourselves throughout the week except on the 3 occasions we visited the Stein Inn (recommended) during the evenings for dinner. An evening walk up the hill directly across the road behind the cottage and through the gate (Scottish Water) was spectacular as it was a clear blue sky and the views from the top, breathtaking. We took the boat (Misty Isle) from Elgol to Loch Coruisk in the heart of the Cullins which was also spectacular and highly recommended, The hot choc and cups of tea taken on board boat before the return trip to Elgol was a lovely touch. The Ramblers Assoc'n book of walks which is in the cottage is very useful containing a wide variety of walks. On the last day we walked the inland cliffs of Scorr Horan and saw both Golden and White Tailed Eagles. A perfect end to a perfect week. Thank you Lusta!
“The best by far!” A fantastic cottage in such a peaceful location. The cottage is equipped with everything you could ever need and beautifully decorated and furnished.
Love to return and can highly recommend.
“Excellent” Wonderful apartment on the nicest shopping street of Glasgow. The entire flat is outstanding. Superb property, very spacious and full of light. Everything was spotless and showers, hot water, all appliances worked perfectly. Excellent place!
“Wonderful!!” Stayed four nights in this lodge and it was just perfect. Inside is really spacious and it was immaculate. We visited Windermere, Grassmere, Ambelside and Keswick so it s a perfect spot to explore and enjoy the many walks. Will return soon, hopefully.
“Fantastic home away from home at Coille Diobhain” Five adult ladies stayed at Coille Diobhain and loved every minute. The cottage itself has every amenity that one could want, it was a home away from home. We used it as a base and toured Fort William, Oban, The Isle of Skye (lunching at The Three Chimmney's) as well as walking the surrounding cottage grounds. We traveled from the U.S. and were delighted with the comfort the cottage has to offer. We would stay here again. The owner was very easy to work with. The was a book listing all the tourist information one could wish for including restaurants etc. This gets an A+. N. Parr
“Perfect for our family holiday” This was our first trip away with two children (2 1/2 and 8 months) and Seagull Cottage couldn't have suited us better. The house itself is beautiful, retaining Victorian character with all modern conveniences, very tastefully decorated and comfortable at the same time. There was plenty of room inside and in the long sunny garden for our family of four.
We spent most of our time in Broadstairs and Kingsgate which are both a short drive away (and walkable if you don't mind a long walk - Botany Bay 30 mins and Viking Bay 45 mins) and did a couple of day trips to nearby Whitsable and Sandwich.
Fully intend to book for next summer.
“Excellent Accommodation” Stayed in Tigh Gorm for 7 days in September 2016- its a wonderful place to stay. Well appointed - everything one needs for self catering is readily available. Spotlessly clean - very comfortable large bed & great having a full bathroom with Shower both upstairs & downstairs in bedroom. Lovely wee private garden off downstairs bedroom- just wish weather had been better but one doesn't t go to beautiful Harris for the weather- if the sun shines its a bonus.
“WOW, a touch of heaven on the isle of Lewis.” I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Alt Dubh on the isle of Lewis, what can I say it is something special. The owners have thought of everything. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity this is the place. There are amazing views with a loch and the sea visible. We walked the short distance to the sea and were welcomed every day by the resident seal.
The cottage has everything you would possibly need and has two wood burners in the living and dining room. The spa room separated from the house just adds that extra special touch nothing like sitting in the hot tub after a long walk and admiring the views. The cottage is remote and would advise to use the bigger supermarkets in Stornoway when you arrive. There is a local shop at Ravenspoint and the staff are very friendly and welcoming there is a cafe and free internet usage. I can not think of one thing the owners could change it really is a little touch of heaven and we will be returning soon.
“A clean well appointed little cottage for a short stay, close to amenities and representing good value for money” The cottage had everything you would want for a short stay with all the comforts of home at a reasonable price. The kitchen, bathroom, lounge and bedroom were all very clean and comfortable and the heating and cooking facilities were very good.
There was a log burner in the lounge that made it cosy at night and Sky television should you wish to stay in. On the other hand all amenities were close by should you want to absorb some Suffolk hospitality with a very nice pub just across the road that had good selections on the menu.
All in all it represented good value for any couple looking for a short break.
“Really good” I can not speak highly enough about are stay. The hole family including the dogs had a great time. The local is second to none and the owners were lovely. We are looking forward to going back some day.
“Lovely cottage in a very pretty village, great value for money!” Cherry Blossom Cottage is in very scenic village just a short walk from the stunnng Hardwick Park! It is a period cottage, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. There are two shops very close by for all your basic needs and Sainsburys is just a short drive away. We were visiting family about 20 mins away so the cottage was ideal and so central to lots of the beautiful beaches and attractions. We particularly enjoyed Seaton Crew (Gladdy's Tearoom is great for a coffee or spot of lunch), The Headland, Beamish, and Seaham! Lesley and Neil were very helpful when booking and making sure we were OK during our stay but we didn't want for anything! We will definitely be back! Thank you!
The United Kingdom is like a delicious, four-course dinner: each dish has its own distinctive flavour, but together, they create an unforgettable experience. From Scotland’s dramatic landscapes and England’s country lanes, to the lush valleys of Wales and rugged coast of Northern Ireland, prepare to be dazzled by all the UK has to offer.
The United Kingdom boasts an array of cities to explore, all with different personalities. The ancient city walls of York and Chester reveal the England of medieval times, while industrial powerhouses-turned-nightlife-hubs like Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool celebrate the UK’s technological pedigree. Other jewels include captivating Edinburgh, cosmopolitan Cardiff, historic Canterbury and delightful St David’s, the UK’s smallest city.
Quiet & Quaint
While the honey-coloured cottages and historic market towns of the Cotswolds never fail to win over visitors, seclusion can be found in many other corners of the UK. There’s the pure, soul-stirring beauty of England’s Lake District and Wales’ Snowdonia National Park, or the Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Coast To Coast
As an island nation, the UK seaside has a special place in the hearts of its inhabitants. Traditional amusement arcades and donkey rides are best enjoyed in resorts like Blackpool, Scarbrough and Skegness. For quiet coves and incredible seafood, Cornish towns like Padstow are rivalled only by the unbelievable beaches and produce of Scotland.

The Bothy is a luxurious, spaceous and extremely well equipped cottage in a peaceful and private location. On arrival, The Bothy has a very personal touch with fresh flowers and fruit present in the lounge and a starter pack in the kitchen. Parking is directly outside the cottage. The central location of the cottage is ideal for exploring the New Forest in all directions and also for visits to Stonehenge, Winchester, Salisbury, Lymington, Christchurch etc.. Upper Wood End Farm Holiday Cottage No. 2
We stayed at a superb establishment with our dogs. Right from the start, we and the two dogs felt at home. being countryside people, we were glad that Milton Keynes and its traffic were far enough away that we could forget it was there.. Rita greeted us with her two dogs, her own dogs were very friendly and all the dogs got on well. Facilities at the holiday cottage were excellent, extremely clean and Elizabeth thought the bed was the most comfortable she had used for many a year. Lots of easy walks in the area. We were there for a car meeting at Woburn Abbey so didn't explore much. Excellent parking for many cars. In all, we highly recommend staying there. Rita was delightful. …
