“Fantastic cottage in stunning location” The cottage was fantastic and the owners were incredibly welcoming. The house was immaculately clean and all the additional touches provided made for a very special stay. North Ballachulish is a great base to explore Scotland and with Glencoe and Ben Nevis on the doorstep you do not need to go far for stunning scenery. We did not want to leave.

“Family friendly cottage” This was my first time renting a holiday cottage and the bar has been set very high! We were two mums with three boys (aged 6, 8 and 8) away for a long weekend and we were impressed with this as a very family friendly cottage: a very large open plan dining kitchen with views of rabbits running around; a separate tv room if the boys wanted to watch a dvd; a cosy family room for board games by a wood burning stove in the evenings; a large garden for the boys to play football and rugby in. Once we got all the heaters switched on when we arrived, the cottage was warm and cosy. The location is also ideal for local walks etc. I will definitely be looking to make another booking in the future.

“Wonderful cottage, great location to explore” We loved our stay at this cottage, it has everything you need for a great base to explore. Only downside was the pub at the end of the road was shut! This is a great cottage if you have dogs....only tiny niggle for us, not having dogs, was the cottage had a faint smell of damp dog... but didn't stop us enjoying our stay...Karen was excellent in communication and very helpful. would highly recommend.

“The perfect place for a fantastic family ski trip in the Highlands.” We came to Balvattan Farmhouse because we know how beautiful that part of the Highlands is. Our kids were in a ski race camp and we needed a location that allowed us to be flexible as to whether we skied the Cairngorms or The Lecht. We had 5 fantastic days at The Lecht, which is a short and scenic drive away - full of wildlife and stunning views. The farmhouse surpassed our expectations. It was clear everything had been carefully specced: from cutlery; to linen (super comfy pillows); technology and a luxury kitchen - we especially loved the roaring log fire. I cannot recommend Balvattan Farmhouse highly enough, it is obviously owned by someone who wants their guests to want for nothing. We'll be back next year.

“Very comfortable, certainly would return again to this accommodation.” Excellent location, really quick and easy to get to the shops etc. The house was warm and inviting with a good array of bedrooms. The twin bedroom would be better suited to children as the beds were quite narrow and short. Excellent bathrooms with good showers, a non slip shower mat in the base of the showers would have been good as it got quite slippery. It was very quick to feel at home in this house. Plenty off road parking which was great. Plenty to do / visit in the area - we ran out of time to get round everything.

“Absolutely Fantastic, All Home Comforts And More Could Not Fault It” We had a fantastic weekend at the Carn Mhor Lodge. The house is just amazing. Even better in real life than in the photos. An excellent base for visiting the Cairngorms national Park and further beyond. The accommodation is first class, very clean, well equipped and lacking for nothing.The owner was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

“Excellent Place to stay!!!” We are very happy with our stay. Cottage is big and luxury. There is plenty of space for everyone and 2 living rooms makes it even better-specially when u have kids. Enough space for 3 families. Fully equiped kitchen and garage with lots of items for outdoor fun. There is also short distance to the main ski slopes-aprox 25 min drive. We hope to come back there!

“Wonderful house in a stunning setting with a great atmosphere in surrounding areas” We stayed for 4 nights and had a fantastic stay. We were delighted that the owners were happy for us to bring along our puppy too, so our holiday was made Up mainly of walking and cycling. There are lots of beautiful walks to go on and the cycle routes were of fantastic quality!!!! The lodge itself was beaufully presented and had everything you could possibly need :-)

“Good Holiday” Craigie View was comfortable an modern, everything you could need for a selfcatering holiday was in this lovely holiday home. Craigie View is central for visiting other areas when on holiday, our 2 small dogs enjoyed walking an exploring the many walks that are around Craigie View home itself. Aviemore high street only 7min walk from house. We were on holiday mon to fri an my only moan is it wasn't long enough. David the owner emailed us before we arrived to let us know he had put heating on as that day was breezy, good of him to do so. We hope to return to Aviemoe soon an hopefully stay at Craigie View again.

“Great pet friendly home from home” A lovely bungalow with everything you would need. Comfortable accommodation with plenty of space for my husband, our dog and I. The house was immaculately clean and was well equipped. The cottage owners kept in good contact with us and were extremely prompt in responding to any questions etc before we arrived. Upon arrival - we were several hours early - we were very lucky to contact the owners and for them to allow us to get in early - after a long drive we were very grateful to get in and settled. A new fridge freezer had just been installed., all other kitchen appliances and equipment were clean and well looked after. As we stayed at christmas we were welcomed with a lovely christmas hamper and real christmas tree - lovely touch. I was a little wary about the heaters as I've never experienced the electric wall heaters before but they were great - instant heat whenever we needed it. The area is stunning - the village was very friendly and with some good shops and facilities. We enjoyed dinner at the old bridge and drinks in mambos which were both dog friendly. We walked our dog in the early morning along the side if the house and up to the wooded area near the golf course. We were told by other local dog walkers that it us permitted to walk on the golf course out if hours - it was a beautiful early morning stroll. We enjoyed Loch en Eilean - lovely walk, beautiful scenery, and we visited Loch Morlich numerous times - it is stunning - don't just stop at the first car park for it tho - drive further to the beach car park - it's worth it. Just beautiful. We also enjoyed a session at the Clay Pigeon shooting at the Rothiemurchus estate - great experience, fabulous staff. Would definitely recommend it, as well as the farm shop at Rothiemurchus. There's so much to do especially if you like the outdoors. Nightlife looked good in aviemore too.

“Excellent Stay!” We felt very cosy and felt like walking into our own home. Everything was perfect. My 2 boys loved every bit spending our holiday in Heath Cottage. Our 2 friends came down from overseas for a scottish holiday and it was a treat for them as well. Owner was very helpful from day 1. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who'd like spend their holiday in Boat of Garten. Beautiful nature's reserve and plenty of sight seeing nearby. Thanks again Nick and Heather.

“Very friendly people with lovely accommodation” This property is very spacious and well thought out. There was plenty of space for our party of 5 consisting of myself, husband, son and in-laws. There was a separate lounge which was great for my son so he could spread out all of his toys or watch a dvd. Blairgowrie is a nice local place, good places to eat and some nice shops. The Alyth Hotel is a great place to visit, great food and great service along with great value. The Ospreys are nearby and we were visited by an owl one evening, directly outside the front windows on the telegraph pole. We also had deer in the large field at the front. Debbie was very helpful and on-hand if needed. The Wi-Fi connection was also very good, which is quite rare in my experience in some out of city places in Scotland. My only disappointment was the games room, as I thought it was inside the property, but it is actually in an outbuilding - however on saying that I think it is currently being updated so I am sure it will soon match the standard of the main property. My son loved being able to play ping pong and pool. Great on a rainy day, as it's inside with a lockable sliding door. We would definitely visit again as a family.

“Nice house with garden” My girlfried and me were 2 weeks in this nice house and had a nice time. There were two bedrooms, a large kittchen and a livingroom with two big couches. Everything was perfect explained and the very friendly owner answered all e-mails very rapid. The superb landscape is great for start hiking dircet from the house. “You can't wish for a better cottage.” 9 of us stayed at Lorien and it was absolutely fantastic, very well equipped, shop next door, lots of walks around, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms were great, very comfy beds and everything was clean and neat!!! Loved the fire place, the sitting room was so big and spacious. We even managed to park 3 cars in the driveway .... very pleased. Had an amazing stay, we will be back.
