“Lovely stay” We had a lovely stay here Pam who owns this bungalow, seems a really lovely person, although we haven’t actually met her. The bungalow was a real home away from home, so clean and comfortable and the little extra touches of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits left for us was really lovely. The park itself was very nice, the swimming pools sauna etc was great. The few staff we spoke to were very nice and helpful. The area of St. Margaret’s bay is really beautiful. I would definitely like to stay here again.

“Fantastic” We were lucky enough to stay here on a long break. The cottage was immaculate and so well kitted out with everything you could need, just bring yourself. If you have mobility problems, you will have to drive to the beach. As you leave the cottage on foot, turn left for cliff walks and amazing views, turn right down the hill to the beach. On the doorstep is the Pine gardens, well worth a visit and the tearoom is fab . Wonderful location, beautiful cottage and lovely hosts, thank you Maria and Michael xx

“Great Weekend!” We had an amazing time. The bungalow was perfect! It was four of us looking for a cosy quiet place near the cliffs. And even if we didn't have a car, the walking around wasn't bad at all. Almost a highlight, I'd say. A short cab ride from Dover, nice pub on the beach, friendly reception staff. All good!

“Excellent Break” A very comfortable and well appointed property in a tranquil location, you even get your own orchard! The very friendly owners were unobtrusive but on hand if you needed them, they also supplied a very generous pack of welcome goodies. The property is well positioned to visit places of interest, including Chartwell, Knole House and Ightham Moat. There is also a very good local hostelry just a few minutes walk away serving good local beers and fine food. All in all a great place to stay, highly recommended.

“Lovely stay” 11 Albert Street is a lovely little house from which to explore Whitstable. We went with our two young children and found it to be an ideal location and fully equipped for our long weekend stay during partial lockdown (and unpredictable weather) when we needed to eat most of our meals at home. The house has a lovely seaside cottage theme. Julie the property manager was on hand to answer questions and most helpful when we accidentally left one of the children's items behind. I would highly recommend.

“Like a home away from home...” It is not the first time we have stayed in this house and it will probably not be the last! The house is extremely well equipped and has the perfect location right at the sea-side but close to the town center so that any shopping can easily done by foot. We usually take back-packs for grocery shopping so that we do not need to move the car. Getting a parking space can sometimes be tricky during the day because Deal is a favorite spot to spend a day at the beach...It is very convenient though, that free parking is made possible near the house at all. Being so close to the beach is a real treat for us and having a drink while watching the sea seems to be the best way to end the day - and it is just across the street, a few steps away...The house offers enough space for a family, two bathrooms and three toilets are an absolute asset if you are travelling with teenagers! The kitchen is perfect and allows for ambitious cooking which is not always the case in holiday rentals. And, of course, there is always the view you get from the living room and the upstairs, so even if the weather is not so nice you can still enjoy the sea...

“Wonderful family accommodation with exceptional hosts” A well equipped cottage with all we needed to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable stay. When we asked to extend, Maria & Robin, searched for an alternative for the three nights that had been previously booked and offered them to us. Ever tentative and welcoming, Maria, Robin, Isabella, and Oscar made us all welcome and we enjoyed sitting in the sunshine near the pool. Highly recommend - the proximity to the A21 is NOT a problem with the sounds buffered by double glazing and the tree line.

“Very comfortable, spacious, well equipped accommodation” This accommodation is well placed for access to all area's of Thanet, it is within walking distance of good pubs and restaurants. The accommodation is exceptionally well equipped and the furniture and fittings and decoration are of a very high quality. There is ample car parking space but unfortunately it is not possible to turn a car around so you have to reverse on to a busy main road. the locals must be used to this practice in this area and were very accomodating in stopping to let us out of the drive

“Great property, great location.” We really enjoyed our week at the Retreat. We were lucky to get one of the best weeks of the summer but felt whatever the weather we would have enjoyed our stay. The property is centrally located, easy walking distance to the beach, pubs and restaurants. A lot of thought has obviously gone into the decor and fixtures and fittings of the Retreat and it shows - added to which the attention to detail makes this a very attractive property. We particularly enjoyed the welcome hamper, the complimentary toiletries and the comfy beds!

Kent holidays

The country province of Kent, England, encapsulates all the history and charm of the British Isles. Bordered by the greater London area, Kent is easily accessible, but feels miles away from the urban atmosphere of England's capital city. Here, country estates are nestled amidst rolling green countryside, while well-preserved medieval villages give visitors a glimpse of life in Old England. Often called "The Garden of England," Kent is filled with orchards, farms, and grazing animals.

Kent is a historic part of England, boasting some of the most well-known monuments in the country. The cathedral at Canterbury is a jewel of medieval architecture, built over the course of many centuries and recently inducted into the United Nations' list of World Heritage Sites. Built by King Henry II during the 12th century, Dover Castle is an impressive military fortress and a historic landmark. Travel through the Kent countryside to visit these and other stunning landmarks.

In addition to history, Kent is a wonderful place for a seaside holiday. Along the eastern edge of the county of Kent, the rugged coastline boasts some of the country's most beautiful beaches. Some shores, like the historic town of Hyde, are perfect for a romantic getaway. Other beaches, like the popular beaches of Margate and Broadstairs, are well suited to a family holiday. For butterflies and flowers, scenic views, and country villages, plan a hike through Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Some of Kent's top attractions include:

  • Knole House: Located in Sevenoaks, Knole House is a massive country estate, originally built by the archbishop of Canterbury in the 15th century.
  • Leeds Castle: Built beside a lovely natural lake and surrounded by 500 acres of greenery, this historic castle looks like the ones in fairy tales.
  • Historic Chatham Dockyard: Tour a historic submarine or historic warship at the shipbuilding yard in Chatham, which also includes a maritime museum.
  • Ramsgate: A family holiday town on Kent's coast, Ramsgate has a charming Harbor filled with great shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Get to know the real England with a holiday rental in the Kent countryside. If you are planning a romantic escape to Kent, seek out a cosy cabin in one of Kent's picturesque parklands, like the Blean wilderness near Canterbury. For the family, there's no better option than a comfortable condo by the shore in Whitstable, Broadstairs, or Margate. If you want to explore history, look for a traditional English home in the peaceful small town of Cranbrook.

Score Cottage
Quirky little bungalow

We loved our stay in this sweet little place. The outside could do with a lick of paint but it sort 9f adds to the charm. The inside is a lovely homely feel and furnished very quirky. The main bedroom is very comfy has a memory foam mattress that you won't want to leave. The front room is cosy and the kitchen has everything you need for a stay. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and the walk back is slightly uphill so may be a problem for anyone with mobility issues (local taxi is £4). The garden is wild but beautiful and we enjoyed sitting out here in the sunshine. The only downside is that the cleaning was a bit lacklustre but that could be because we arrived earlier than the scheduled arrival time. We loved staying here and would definitely stay again in a heartbeat.see more

A great place to stay in Deal

The apartment is just over the road from the beach at Deal. It’s very comfortable and well equipped. There are lots of thoughtful touches. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast and in the evening too. Parking on the road outside was always easy. Deal is a great place to stay in. There are lots of independent shops, a market and great places to eat out, including at the end of the pier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend 49 The Marina and Deal itself.see more

Whistable Gem!

Great accommodation. Spotlessly clean, well equipped, great position with bonus of a veranda with seating. We ventured to the club house a couple of times and it looked okay. No dogs allowed inside but dogs allowed outside where there is ample seating. We walked along the clean promenade to Whistable which we enjoyed. The day after we walked the opposite way and went to herne bay. A very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. I would definitely recommend.see more
