“Lovely holiday home in the most fantastic location” We have just returned from a most fabulous time in this house over New Year. We were 3 families each with a teenager and the house offered plenty of space not feel on top of each other. It’s furnished to a lovely standard and very well equipped. The location is just perfect, above the harbour and a five minute walk to Fistral Beach. It’s the perfect house to ditch the car and enjoy Newquay, which is absolutely brilliant at New Year. Loved it so much, we’ll definitely be booking again!

Kitchen is fully equipped, beds very comfortable and very clean throughout, Situated a stones throw from Looe beach right in the centre of the town. Can't fault it, just watch your heads on the doors if you are tall and keep the noise down as the neighbours can hear everything oops (sorry it sorry)

Coverack house

“Amazing bungalow, clean, welcoming, great location, plenty of space in and out.” My first word when I entered the bungalow was ''WOW'' :) It is clean, tidy, with plenty of space. The bedrooms are lovely and the lounge up stairs has great views across the sea. It has everything needed for a self catering holiday. The kitchen is well equipped with a massive fridge freezer. Fantastic location if you like walking and being secluded. The only noise we heard was the wildlife and the odd cow :) Coverack village is lovely and only a 10 minute walk away. The private beach is just a short walk down. I have already recommended Tregarrek Point to friends and will definitely go back.

“Fabulous accommodation!” Just wow, the views from this accommodation is just truly stunning. We all had such a lovely stay. The smoke alarm ran out of battery and was bleeping one morning, we advised Rod and he was round to sort it within 10 minutes, amazing service. Walk to the town was via the roads due to having a pushchair but it only took around 10 minutes. The walk up is a killer but worth it for the amazing views! We will definitely be back. Thank you Rod & Beata.

“Beautiful beach hideaway!” The apartment was cosy, felt safe and was less than 50 steps away from the gorgeous beach. At night we could hear the sea as we drifted off and in the morning we were back on the beach for our cuppas. Very central to the town - 5 mins walk to the harbour. It was a perfect fit for 2. Shirley was so lovely and happy to help with anything we needed. Having the space to park the car right outside the apartment was ideal. Would highly recommend!

“Wonderful stay at the Old Police House in Padstow” We stayed in Flat 1 at the Old Police House, it was very clean and beautifully furnished/decorated with a very nice fitted modern bathroom and kitchen. The flat was close to the Harbour and the Camel trail. We ate at the many cafes, restaurant's & pubs that are on the door step, and had some lovey breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. Sally the owner was particularly kind and helpful to us prior to our arrival. We would love to stay here again.

Boscastle holiday cottage rental

Boscastle cottage

“Excellent cottage” We recent stayed in this beautiful cottage, 2 adults, 4 young children. The surrounding views were breathtaking and the cottage grounds were immaculately kept. It was an ideal quiet location for exploring Cornwall, with plenty of places to visit and keep the children entertained within an hours drive. Camelford was only a 5 minute drive away and had a small supermarket and a few other shops (Boots) in which you can buy most things you’ll need (if you forgot them like we did). The cottage itself was quite big and accommodated the 6 of us quite nicely. The host greeted us with warmth and helped us out a few times (going above and beyond) with a smile and a “not a problem”. The children loved playing on the outside climbing frame and using the trampoline, and explored the separate Games Room in awe. It had a pool table, full sized snooker table and a table tennis table. One thing that the photos don’t show is that only 2 of the bedrooms are accessible directly from the landing. To access the the two twin rooms, you have to go through one of the double rooms. It wasn’t an issue for us at all and actually worked really well with our younger children. Also, the stairs are quite open. Toddlers would struggle to stay safe on their own, but under supervision would be fine. We’ll definitely go back and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

“Fabulous place to stay with lots of space” Loved our stay here at the end of August. 6 of us but the house accommodates 8. Fab spot just a few minutes from town and beach (downhill but then everything is hilly in St Ives). Room for two carefully parked cars. Be prepared to lose time in the morning as you sit taking in the wonderful views from the breakfast bar. Our stay came to an end far too quickly.

“Immaculate apartment, beautiful area!” The pictures certainly do not do this property justice. Feeling like you are in your own private beach cove, this apartment was an absolute pleasure to stay in. It was pristine clean with all the required appliances and utensils. It was a 5 minute drive from the town centre, and the great wifi connection must be mentioned. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious with bath towels bigger than the bed sheets, and extremely comfortable beds. We would certainly recommend this property to anybody wanting an escape from the daily grind. If I hade more hands I would give this property more than two thumbs up!

“Beautiful, well appointed apartment with wonderful sea views” What a find, this is a beautiful, well appointed apartment with a view of the sea that is so close and expansive that you almost feel as if you are a part of the ocean. Close enough to Newquay town to enjoy all of the hustle and bustle if you wish too but also just far enough away to have peace and quiet if you want to have a more relaxed holiday. Close to the apartment is a lovely restaurant, the Lewinnick lodge, the beautiful bay spa and of course right outside the apartment you have the world famous Fistral beach. I know that we will come back to this apartment time and again.

“Great location for Porthtowan beach” Accommodation very good, well equipped. Excellent location for our trip as we were attending a wedding, the reception being held at The Blue Bar, in Porthtowan, had a fantastic time. Only downside for me with the accommodation was that I couldn't sit on the terrace and appreciate the view, as it was obscured by the wooden planks that created the boundary.

“Perfect pet-friendly accommodation” This place was just a perfect base to reach everything we wanted. It was clean and comfortable. We had our little dog with us, but there was no sign that a dog had been there before, so clean. The tile floor is also ideal with dogs muddy paws. Had a meal and a couple of drinks at the main bar, which was lovely, and so were the staff, so cheerful, and everything was very clean and safe regarding COVID. Would definitely stay here again if in the area again, we liked having our own parking space, good value for money.

“A home by the sea” Clean, spacious tastefully decorated and a comfortable bed - what more could you want - a sea view perhaps .. yes, a sea view from every window! A well equipped kitchen, amazing oven that actually did was it was supposed to do, a Belling Classic, there was even a multi-bottle wine cooler! There's never a dull moment on Plymouth Sound and it was fascinating watching ferries, frigates sailing boats, catamarans etc all day long. The attention to detail at Rock House is worthy of praise and we loved it. Sunrise and sunset is rare to see from one place but here there were days when we saw both in glorious technicolour! In such a small village it was easy to get about on foot, there is a car park with friendly attendants where you can pay and park during your stay as there is no parking anywhere in the village. Walking from Rock House is picturesque and easy, you can walk along the beach or strolling over the hills or around the coast, it's on part of the South West Coastal path.

Mowhay Barn - Penvose Farm
Fantastic barn conversion and amazing owners

We stayed in the three bedroom Barn, think it was called Mowhay. The accommodation is to a really high standard and super clean. It had lovely exposed beams and an amazing log burner, along with all the kitchen appliances and accessories you might need. Beds were really comfy and lining fresh and crisp. The whole barn was so tastefully decorated and the owners had put a lot of love and thought into detail and travellers requirements. We went on Boxing Day and stayed through until new year. We were met by the lovely owner Ann who made us immediately feel welcome. We arrived in the evening to a lovely warm barn conversion and she had even left champagne and chocolates as a New Years Eve treat. Not expected but very well received and such a kind treat. We met Ann’s husband who was equally as welcoming and they even knocked on the door as they noticed my husband had an electric car to see if he wanted to charge it. We felt this hospitality was above and beyond and exceptional. Everyone that worked there always waved and said hello. There is a bus stop at the end of the drive and buses seemed fairly regular if you don’t want to drive. We also walked to a pub in Watergate Bay. This took about 40 mins each way and apart from a short stretch on the road outside the site it was on back lanes or the coastal path. The site is perfectly situated for Padstow, Newquay, Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay. Lovely walks within a short distance. Thank you so much to Ann and your family for your hospitality. We didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to return.see more
Okeltor Boathouse
Fantastic position looking over the river Tamar, ingeniously re-purposed architecturally designed building..

We loved it - spine tinglingly lovely position over the river - even in the mist and rain over New Year. The 'let' is gorgeous though at 74 I struggled with the very high top bunk! Once up there was a wonderful wooded river valley view to contemplate! We were two couples so I drew the short straw! Best I think for a nuclear family with 2 children over the age of say 8 - but depends on the kids! The Tamar valley and Dartmoor holds many delights ( we are non-lycra cyclists ). New years eve supper was at the Tamar Inn alongside hordes of young people. Where do they all come from?see more
Beach View House
New year at Beach View house

Had a wonderful break at beach view house from 28th December- 2nd January. The accommodation was excellent and large enough to accommodate 10 of us and our dog. On arrival there was a welcome pack that included prosecco and biscuits which was a nice touch. It is situated perfectly to explore newquay without the need to drive which was really important to us and the sea views from the front of the property are fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped with good quality pans/utensils and a large range style cooker (although the oven was a little slow). The new years eve harbour firework display was very impressive and the front garden must have been one of the best spots to view it in the whole of town! We are booked to return in the summer and can't wait!see more

Dartmoor Valley Lodges
New year in Dartmoor 15

We booked this for a family break for new year, the lodge is spacious and has everything you need. The hot tub is a massive bonus. I will say be careful during winter months on the decking as it was quite slippery but this couldn’t be helped. The bedrooms were spacious and we all slept comfortably. David was on hand to answer any questions I had and also checked mid break to ensure everything was ok. Massive bonus it’s dog friendly we would happily book this lodge again.see more
