Looe is an idyllic coastal town and fishing port. However, for the select few who know about it, a holiday rental in Looe is the perfect spot for a beach holiday far away from the busy resorts. But shh – it's a secret!
Looe, known as Logh in the traditional Cornish, has stood for many years. It was once part of an ancient city and features in the Domesday Book. You can see evidence of its ancient roots at Giant's Hedge and the stone circle at Bin Down if you want to take a look.
The town mainly focuses on fishing – shark fishing is especially popular with the locals! Pubs and restaurants always serve fresh, local produce, so why not give it a try?
What to Do
The cobbled streets of this seaside town are lined with quaint independent shops. Dip in and out to find the perfect souvenir.
Top Looe Travel Tips
Being in Cornwall, you can't leave without trying a traditional Cornish pasty. We say get one from one of the street vendors as they're almost always made in the traditional (best) way.

Highgrove Waves - Stunning house with magnificent sea views, pet friendly
Spent a relaxing week in this beautiful house in my favourite place. I didnt want to leave a review because I dont want anyone else to find out about it. It was clean, bright. All "mod cons". Beautiful scenery, peaceful surroundings - idyllic. A little bit of paradise. …
Great apartment perfectly located
This is a great one bedroom apartment with everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend in Looe. It was ideally located to explore both east and west Looe. A ten minute walk to restaurants pubs and shops. There is a parking space which is essential in Looe as the roads are narrow and twisty. Highly recommended. We would stay here again. …
Caravan in pretty woodland setting near Looe sleeps 6
Stunning, Charming Setting
Where to start...!...upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by our hosts Sandra & Paul, who showed us around the caravan as well as explained the local area, shops and towns, all of which are easily accessed from the site.
Kinrowan Park is situated perfectly for exploring the many beautiful fishing villages, coves and areas of natural beauty that cover the South Coast of Cornwall.
The caravan is spacious, fully equipped, spotlessly clean, with fresh towels and bed linen supplied. (The home made scones, cream and home made jam were especially welcome after the journey), as well as a supply of basics needed to start your stay. Kinrowan Park as a site for us had it all, beautifully kept, woodland setting, quiet, tranquil and provided a perfect setting in which to chill and unwind. In summary, from arrival to a reluctant departure it was memorable and would definitively be recommended for a place to stay. We certainly will be returning in the near future. Thank you Sandra and Paul. …
