“Really great location and facilities” Stayed for two nights at the apartment which was all and more than we had hoped for. The apartment is on the third floor accessed by a stone spiral staircase but easily accessed if all are reasonably mobile.
The apartment is of excellent standard clean with all modern appliances, also a welcome pack which was much appreciated.
The apartment is in the Grass Market area of Edinburgh which is a good location to access most popular landmarks (Castle, National Museum etc.)
Really enjoyed our stay.
“Perfect for the weekend” We have used this apartment before and it is always the first place we try to get when in Edinburgh. Location is fantastic for the old town attractions and only a short walk from Princes Street but what sets this apartment apart from the other we have stayed in are the thoughtful extras and touches that Eve has added.
The bed is fantasically comfy and we are already looking at planning our next trip.
“Fabulous apartment in superb location” Beautiful studio apartment centrally located at the West Bow end of Grassmarket. Perfectly equipped for two. Every thought has gone into the comfort of their guests, including the type of supplies you always forget! (teabags, washing up liquid, biscuits, milk and a bottle of wine!). Plenty of local info and a map and the owners are available if you need them (but not if you don't!!). Take note of the unsuitability for certain guests - the three flights of stairs to the front door could be challenging!
“Brilliant location and beautifully furnished” There were six of us staying here and the apartment was much more spacious than I had expected. It is beautifully furnished with a lovely eye for detail in eg lamps, bedding.
My only comment would be that the room I was in had the boiler/pump between the room and ensuite. This made quite a noise when anybody ran water anywhere in the apartment.
“Wonderful stay at N. Castle Street” We all enjoyed spending four nights at the N. Castle Street flat. Our group included four adults and three children (aged 8-12) and we found the flat to be very spacious and beautifully appointed. The owner was very welcoming and helpful with all of our questions and we all appreciated the generous welcome basket! The location of the flat was perfect for walking to all the desirable locations of Edinburgh, we were able to see everything in the city without ever using a bus or taxi. Be aware that the flat is on the top floor (affording stunning views of the castle) so if you're adverse to stair climbing this may be a deterrent. In summary, we all enjoyed the flat and would definitely stay at N. Castle Street again if we travel back to Edinburgh.
“Good value & large apartment in quiet area close to city centre” Just got back from a short stay in this apartment. This is a good value property with very comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and good central heating. Sky TV and PS3 were a bonus. Everything we needed in the kitchen was there with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits for a nice cup of tea when we arrived. Warm welcome from the landlady who was very helpful - the taxi firm she recommended were great as well.
It is slightly out of the centre (10 mins walk ) which is what we wanted as it was a quieter here at night. Corner shop selling most things you would want a few doors away. Looking forward to a longer visit to see more of Edinburgh.
“Lovely property” We had an amazing stay over Christmas. The property is perfectly located for shopping and visiting the city centre. Perfect view from the hot tub watching the planes coming in. Also caught a glimpse of some deer a few times in the field. The cottage itself is Lovely, very quiet, the hot tub and sauna help make it extra special. We would definitely recommend it and would love to visit again ourselves. Thank you.
“Great apartment in a central location with a warm welcome from the owner.” We're a family of five and have just returned home from a fantastic weekend away in Edinburgh. When we arrived Eve was there to meet us and left bread, eggs, jam, milk, chocolate, drinks....lovely! The apartment was perfect-so near to all the main attractions, we could walk everywhere and pop back if needed during the day. I would highly recommend Eve's place to anybody who's looking for a convenient, clean, attractive apartment to enjoy everything Edinburgh has to offer. We can't wait to return! Thanks Eve!
“Wonderful apartment, Great location...” We stayed at this beautiful 3 bed apartment from 17th until the 20th Feb 2013.
We were a group of 5 adults consisting of my wife and I, my youngest daughter, my eldest daughter and her partner.
The apartment was wonderful, with a beautiful large entrance hall, 3 VERY good size bedrooms (they are all genuine doubles), two bathrooms, a very well fitted kitchen complete with integrated fridge, dishwasher & washing machine, and a very comfortable and accommodating lounge.
The apartment is in a wonderful location to explore what Edinburgh has to offer, we were including a visit to the Zoo to see the Pandas, and the property was only a 20 min easy drive from the Zoo, located in the 'docklands' area of Leith which has undergone a massive redevelopment, the apartment is just across the road from the 'Ocean Terminal' shopping center which houses all the shops you could want and is also the access to the Royal Yacht Britannia, yet just a couple of mins walk along the beautifully retained cobbled street outside the converted warehouses rings you to the 'Shore' area of Leith, the waterfront area with an abundance of restaurants and bars, we had a wonderful meal at Giuliano's on the shore, live music on a Monday...!.
Getting around couldn't be easier, if like us, you don't want to try and find parking in the city center, then just a short walk across the road (about 600mts) to the Ocean Terminal brings you the the Bus stands where many of the bus routes terminate (outside the shopping center), from here just about all buses go to the city center, about a 10 min ride, and a day ticket is quite cheap (£3.40 when we stayed) and allows you to jump on any bus.
I cannot recommend this property highly enough, it provided all we hoped for and more, it was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and equipped, and offered fantastic value for money, and I would deferentially recommend this apartment to anyone who want's to enjoy what Edinburgh has to offer.
“Great apartment” We decided to go to Edinburgh to celebrate a special wedding anniversary and chose the apartment cos it had an open fire and it seemed reasonably priced. From the beginning, contact with the owner was excellent - Mark made himself available for whatever questions we had and met us on arrival, giving us a hand with our luggage, and advising us of the best place to park, what to visit, what restaurants were good etc.
The actual apartment was well equipped, spacey with great decoration and with many original features - the fire was brill and the apartment's location was within walking distance of most tourist spots if you don't mind walking 10-15 minutes (except the castle which is a good 30 minutes up a steep hill but great if you want to get the blood pumping!) The only slight downsides were the apartment is on the third floor so lots of steps - this didn't bother us but may if you struggle with stairs - and there is no parking outside the property but, again, there is some available a short walk away.
All round, we had a great time in Edinburgh and staying in this lovely apartment added to this - it was like home from home, highly recommended.
“It was wonderful” We booked this apartment from Australia for 2 of us and couple of our friends from Germany, all people 55+. On our arrival we’ve got very friendly hello and welcoming fruits, Scottish biscuits and fresh milk. Everything in the apartment was perfectly clean, kitchen fully equipped and all bedding very comfortable. The apartment located on walking distance from the city center and all attractions. It was very pleasant to stay in Edinburgh.
“Great place to stay while visiting Edinburgh” We truly enjoyed our stay in this apartment for several reasons. It is located in an ideal location, close to the Royal Mile, within easy walking distance of most of the top sites in Edinburgh. it provides a quiet refuge after a busy day of sightseeing. It truly felt like our home away from home with the extra touches the owner has provided. It is by far one of the best apartments we have let in our travels.
“Brilliant Apartment” Super friendly, helpful, accommodating owners. Beautiful, clean, comfortable apartment. Literally couldn't have hoped for better. Great location too, with parking. Welcome basket was a lovely surprise and included hot chocolate, biscuits and a bottle of wine! Would definitely book again.

Stunning central penhouse with pool/parking/gym
We were met at the property by the owner who was welcoming and more than helpful during our stay. He offered to help us with our luggage up the stairs as there is no lift.
The accomdation is nicely furnished, warm, clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed during our stay. It is a top floor apartment with good views out to the stadium.
We had our 3 year old and there were a few toys for him to play with. The quiet pool was a nice extra, the access to which was just the other side of the small car park. There is also an entertainment complex (cinema and trampoline park) near by.
The road the runs adjacent to the property can be noisy particularly with the windows open, it is a city though and all the major attractions are within walking distance. …

Very well appointed apartment and a pleasant stay
A very pleasant stay in a beautifully decorated apartment that had all the conveniences you could wish for. Really clean and tidy and it was great that the owner was there to allow us to check in early.

City Centre Apartment
Home away from home
Perfect place for my friend Cathy and me to spend 9 glorious days in the fabulous city of Edinburgh. Lots of room, with two bedrooms and 2 baths....we loved the privacy that provided. Not far from The Royal Mile, we had lots of things to see and do. Bus stops close by, with grocery stores handy. The owners were quick to get back with answers to our questions, and the extras, (coffee, milk, fresh flowers etc.) were truly appreciated. If ever we are fortunate enough to venture back that way, this is definitely the place we’d stay! …
