    Amazing views.

So long as you are happy with being miles from anywhere, do not miss this property. The views are inspirational and stunning. It is very much out of the way, and despite being one of about 100 apartments, I didn't hear a noise from a soul all week. After crossing the Tamar floating bridge, it's still about 8 miles to get to the fort, with the final mile being a dark, narrow secluded lane. Upon arrival you drive into the underground car park, which looks like a typical 1970s concrete affair. It is well lit however, but the warning signs of killer waves are a bit daunting! Upon finding your allocated parking space, the fun of finding the apartment really begins... Despite instructions saying that you are right by the lift, I was unable to find it, even after a week of staying there. The main entrance is a fair few strides away, and then you follow signs through spooky corridors to your designated lift. Once on the third floor, the apartment is easy to find, but the lighting of the walkway leaves much to be desired. Once inside, you cannot fail to be immediately impressed, not only by the layout, but by the enormous panoramic windows, balcony and views. Most is laminated flooring, fairly budget, but some carpeted surfaces. There is a new 3 piece suite in the viewing platform raised area. Main bedroom is tidy with a comfortable double bed, although for what is described as a luxury property, it is surprising that this has not been upgraded to king-size. The bunk room is small but functional, with port holes to the lounge, a novel feature. The shower room is just that, with no bath, but it's clean and tidy and has a good powerful electric double shower. Negative points are the lack of internet, and mobile phone signal. Also the futon settee has to be the most uncomfortable thing that I have ever sat on, but unless you want to sit in front of the TV, there is little need to use it, as the suite in the living area is great. The whole property is well presented, and the owner seems happy to provide basic essentials like washing up liquid, hand soap and loo rolls. There is a dishwasher, but surprisingly no washing machine, and no provision of towels which you need to take with you, despite being provided with full made up bedding. All in all, there is no denying that this is a very special place to stay. Luxury would not be an apt description, but clean, mainly comfortable and a bit quirky would sum it up nicely. Oh, and the views, did I mention them? Simply to die for! see more
    Little Haven
    outstanding in every respect

A review without reservation is well deserved of this well -presented and well -thoughtout cosy converted boat shed. The original arch on the outside is all that remains of its history. From the outset all potential concerns are covered.Easy to book. A reasonable returnable deposit, clear instructions for locating it. Easy to use keyless entry. The moment of entry gives vent to small sigh of 'this looks fantastic'. It is warm because the underfloor heating, which is zoned for sleeping and sitting area, has been left on. Checking the fridge reveals a little 'welcoming something ' being cooled together with a couple of other little thoughtful welcome gifts. Lighting dimmable, tv and excellent wifi , so vital in our busy lives (!). Modern clean comfortable bed and furniture. A cleverly designed partition that makes the bedroom feel like another room. The kitchen yields clean modem cutlery. A smart box holds all the instruction manuals for the equipment avoiding the inevitable ' how does this work ?' So unnecessary at the start of a break. There is nothing that has been overlooked or ignored.Little things that have shown the concern and care that is characteristic throughout this property. Did we like it ?-yes Would we come here again ? At the drop of a hat This is a property that is owned by people who care, have standards and stick with them. In short , try it , you will not be disappointed! And to make it all even better , a local tavern or two. Staffed bŷ people who have a ready genuine smile. People who are prepared to go that extra mile or kilometre to be accommodating . Surely there can be no better way of having a break for a week or longer ! We do highly recommend this area and this accommodation -without reserve. Chris and Sheena see more
    Rock House
    exceeded expectations

A lovely house all on one level which gave the best views in Kingsand. Very well decorated and is obviously used by the owners not just a rental. Kitchens and bathrooms stocked with numerous things one needs which means you don't have to shop for everything as soon as you arrive. Table tennis, CD,s, snooker, and various books and games meant plenty do do. Car parking in a nearby car park was not a problem. Pubs and shop very local. A brilliant time had by us all. see more
    Cairn Cottage
    Lovely Cottage.

We rented Cairn Cottage whilst in the area for our Sons wedding.................Lovely village with friendly locals..............Coffee Shops, Pubs and beautiful views set the stage for a enjoyable stay in Kingsand..............Cottage chilly on our arrival. However, didn't take too long to heat up....very well equipped.........just the smoke alarm that had a life of it's own..........Would recommend hiring this cottage.......... see more
