Holiday apartment in Croatia

Orebic apartment

3 bedrooms • 2 bathrooms • sleeps 6

“all the comforts of home” Failte is a spacious 3 bedroomed apartment, with all the comforts of home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a 6yr old and a 14month old. The apartment was particulary great because the 14mnth old could roam freely and be safe. Having a seperate sittingroom also meant as parents we could individually get some peace and quiet. The location was ideal a two minute walk to the beach and the main restaurant strip in Orebic. Frank & Sheila have well stocked shelves of books and dvds which was great. They also very kindly had a welcome pack laid out for us. All in all a very hassle and stress free holiday in beautiful surroundings

Holiday studio in Croatia

Dubrovnik studio

Studio • 2 bathrooms • sleeps 3

“Charming, excellent value apartment with superior views” We stayed in Apartment 1, which was on the fourth (top) floor, in July peak season. The apartment was very peaceful and well equipped, with a double bed which was separated into 2 singles for us, and a single (unused) sofa bed. The kitchen was perfectly suitable for quick snack-making or elaborate meals, with all the necessary equipment (as outlined in another review). The bathroom was unexpectedly modern, with a decent modern shower and suite. Overall, we could see the apartment was very clean and well maintained, and had a vacuum cleaner and cleaning products to help guests keep it that way. We were especially pleased with the apartment's location. It's on the sea-ward side of town, not far from the Pile Gate but at the top of the hill (however this side of town is less steep than the other side). If you don't like steps, you probably really won't enjoy Dubrovnik anyway, so that fact is neither here nor there. The best thing about being high up was the wonderful views the apartment has in 3 directions - it made for some lovely photos and very pleasant morning breakfasts overlooking the sea and edge of the magnificent city walls and castle, watching the incredible number of chirrupy Swifts happily darting to-and-fro across the skies and tourists walking the walls. The apartment has air-conditioning, which works very well but we mostly just used it on its fan setting to circulate the air. There is also free and relatively quick Wifi, instructions for which are on the noticeboard in the apartment. We also found Damir, the owner, to be very helpful in recommendations and highly knowledgeable about the history and politics of Dubrovnik and the local area. If you want to know a little more about where you are staying, the interesting history of the apartment itself (the top floor was once where all the houses in Dubrovnik were legally required to do all their cooking and heating), he's the man to ask. Overall, while this is not one of the more super-deluxe designer style apartments, it is a great honest value for money apartment that delivers exactly what you would expect and is a perfect base for a holiday. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Rovinj apartment

2 bedrooms • 1 bathroom • sleeps 4

“One of my favourite places to be in the world....” Fantastic spacious apartment, slap bang in the middle of Rovinj, located in a beautiful, quiet cobbled street. Amazing central location, just 2 mins walk from the harbour, the market and the wonderful winding streets filled with restaurants and art galleries. The apartment has everything you'll need for your stay in terms of kitchen equipment, has a washing machine, plenty of storage space, spare fresh linen, satellite TV, a DVD player, radio. It is also modern and very clean. The owners are lovely people and their handy information sheet with suggestions of the best places to eat, swim, visit were extremely helpful. Go to Rovinj, stay in this apartment and you won't be disappointed. In fact, you probably won't want to leave! :) A home away from home in one of my favourite locations in the entire world. So unique.

Croatia holidays

From its sun-kissed Mediterranean coast, Croatia rises through temperate heartlands into the Dinaric Alps - a maze of crags, waterfalls and hidden lakes. Whether you’re looking to sun yourself by the bright blue sea or do a little exploring on your next holiday, there’s no safer bet than Croatia.

City By The Sea

Combine a beachside break with historic city sightseeing: Dubrovnik is among the most remarkable cities on the Mediterranean and is itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its terracotta roofs and harbour walls have featured on countless postcards. In fact, Dubrovnik is so magical that it starred in Game of Thrones as King’s Landing.

Enchanting Parks

Croatia’s national parks must be seen to be believed. At Plitvice Lakes in central Croatia, a boardwalk skirts the feet of stunning waterfalls as they plunge between exotic trees and into rich blue waters. Off the Dalmatian coast, the island of Mljet is a heavenly way to beat the crowds.

Summer Heat

Hoping to return to work a little browner this year? Intense summer sun makes Croatia immensely popular with anyone in search of a tan. In August, Dubrovnik averages almost 30 degrees, but the highs have been known to skirt the forties. You’ll be glad of the refreshing sea breeze.

Beautiful place, beautiful location

This place is amazing, me and my partner would go back in a heartbeat. A lovely clean apartment, amazing views, a pool surrounded by wonderful foliage and wildlife. The host, Rao, greeted us with an amazing sample of some homemade cherry liquor and showed us around whilst offering great advice and recommendations for local restaurants and bars. We will be back as soon as we’re able too - this place is astounding and we’re in love with it.see more
Stunning sunset apartment I
Excellent and Exceptionally Helpful Host

We came across this gorgeous property due to being unable to travel back home to Dublin, Ireland because of mt husband losing his phone so bot beinf able to retrieve certain covid travel documents which he needed to fly back that day. Naturally my husband and I were stressed out and panicked but thankfully due to the amazing airport staff at Dubrovnik airport, they put us in touch with Marina who owns this stunning property as we needed accommodation for the night. After being connected to Marina over the phone to explain our situation, she offered us her apartment for such a reasonable price. Her husband also collected us within ten minutes of speaking to her from the airport at only 100 kuna and dropped us back at the same price the following day. When we arrived at the apartment we were so pleased as it was gorgeous with stunning views. Marina advised us where to go to explore the rest of Cavtat and just make the most of a not so great situation which we did and boy was it fantastic as we discovered a glorious and authentic part of Cavtat which had mainly locals about which was wonderful. Not only was Marina a fabulous host she also assisted us in boarding our flight the next morning after we obtained all the correct covid documents. She even borrowed us her laptop to download all the relevant covid documents the day prior . We also discovered she is actually the airport supervisor. I felt like she was God sent that day. For all the above if I ever visit Cavtat again which I think I will, I will definitely stay at Marinas apartment again and would highly recommend anyone else to do. Such a friendly, kind, supported woman. Thank you so much Marina. Love Charmaine & Jason xosee more

A little slice of heaven

Beautiful location right on a jetty with access down a few steps into the sea and incredible views across the bay. Table and chairs outside for dining and plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas, plus inflatables for taking in the water. Accommodation comfortable and clean and the owners arranged airport transfers for us at a very reasonable cost. The area is quiet and a short walk from restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!see more
Nice home in Pula with WiFi and 10 Bedrooms (CIP539)

Just returned from a week at this villa in Pula. It had everything you needed to have a great holiday. The owner was their on arrival and supplied any information we needed. As the villa has 10 bedrooms, which were all outstanding as were the adjoining bathrooms to each bedroom, this villa is ideal for a large group. As we were an older group we found we needed to get taxis but they were cheap as chips. The closest beach is a bit pebbly but we were taken to a Sandy beach which was amazing. The Croatian people are so nice and really want to help you and they certainly do not badger you to go into their cafe and bars. Only one disappointment was the way they cooked the steak in the restaurants. We asked for it to be medium to well done but when it came it was very rare. We had to send it back but still wasn’t cooked enough - probably have to ask for it to be burnt . Amazing holiday and Croatia is very pretty. We would definitely go backsee more
Apartment Theresa-beautiful sea view - discount July-August
Excellent accommodation. Friendly helpful owner.

Two double bedded rooms en suite. Well equipped kitchen. Balcony with fantastic view over the bay. Nada could not have been more helpful. Booked taxis for us and found out how we could get COVID tests. I would not recommend the property for the less than able. Top of the hill with many steps. That being said great value.see more
