“Home from home” We had a lovely warm welcome and introductory tour around the house, which is comfortable and spacious. It really did have that "home from home" feel as Sara has ensured that the house is well equipped (e.g. an abundance of kitchen equipment, including day to day essentials such as salt, cooking oil etc. and thoughtful additions, such as clock radios in every bedroom). Everything was well maintained, of good quality and very clean. Whilst the overall setting was lovely and quiet, we experienced loud noise in the master bedroom each morning which was coming from the children in the owners house next door (this was the only negative we experienced and explains the loss of one star on the comfort rating of this review). We didn't want to mention this during the holiday, as it's important to remember that next door is the owners family home too, therefore a little noise is perhaps to be expected. The location is great as there's lots to do in the area, plus the guides provided in the house and the owners local knowledge provide lots of further inspiration if needed. We would thoroughly recommend Logie Country House and think it will be extra special when the pool etc. opens shortly.

“The most amazing vacation rental ever!!” My wife and I traveled to Italy and stayed at the Borgia Castle with some friends and family. First of all, the castle is spectacular and even more beautiful then we could have imagined. The pictures of the castle do not do it justice, as it really is an amazing-real-life castle! The Castle itself is very spacious and all of the rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. There is a full kitchen with plates, utensils, etc. and modern bathrooms throughout. In addition, it was super clean. While the place does not have air conditioning, there are fans available (but we didn’t really need them as it was nice and cool at night). The Castle also has a pool, tennis courts, and plenty of areas to explore. We also cannot say enough about the property manager (Julie) who is simply amazing. She was very responsive to our emails and answered all of our questions before we booked the reservation. She took care of everything we asked for and even arranged for fresh Italian dinners to be cooked for us at the castle, for transportation, and made sure that we had everything we needed. The staff who work there are also very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. It was very easy to get to the Castle, and it is located close to a beautiful little Italian town, with resturants and local shops. We recommend having a rental car if you want to venture out and explore. We highly recommend staying at the Borgia Castle for your next vacation. It is a lovely vacation rental and a place that we hope to return to for years to come.

“A perfect stay” We really enjoyed the stay very much. The property Is very well attended, the owners are very kind persons and the location of the place is perfect for a relaxing and romantic experience. The best: the views from the swimming pool and the tranquility of the place. The worst: the location of the apartments is not easy to find but maybe that is one of the secrets of the charms of the place.

“Fascinating place, wish we could've stayed for longer. . .” First of all, the Tuscan countryside is magical -- the scenery, rolling hills and colours are all enhanced by the special light of Tuscany and the air is fragrant from blossoms. Second, the comfort and pleasures of a home are increased by the welcome and help given. We were welcomed warmly. The manager, Stefano's, wife went to the trouble of driving down with us to the supermarket. Stefano himself is brilliant -- he is calm, jovial and very efficient. He even took the trouble to connect with the people in Rome (for our next leg) when we couldn't get through and gave them our contact number. The apartment Ciliego is large and comfortable. The windows look out on some lovely scenery. Details, like netting on all windows, two way light switches on the stairs, are much appreciated. Apartment is very clean, we appreciated the recycling and garbage disposal facilities. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and very clean. Just two negatives 1/ the voltage seems quite low, lights are not bright enough for reading. 2/ the shower cubicles are tiny, I kept hitting my elbows all the time and had to towel down with the sliding door open and I am not large. All of us loved the old armoires in the bedrooms and the art objects in the living area. Most of all we loved the fact that the apartment was beautiful and comfortable, but not so fancy that we had to tiptoe around!

“great memories of Longsard” If you wish to go off the beaten track in the French countryside, Longsard in the Beaujolais is a great choice. Perfect in many ways, this property and its hospitable owners - Olivier and Alexandra - will offer you so much more than just a place to stay. You can choose between rooms in the Chateau or suites in the coach-house - either choice will bring a well balanced mix of history and modern comfort. The magnificent Lebanese cedars and the linden tree alleys will most likely take your breath away and, who knows, might make you want to come back. It made us, and we will surely return to Longsard!
