“Short Family Break” Just returned from a memorable 4 night stay here. The caravan is 5*, beautifully maintained and comfortable. Warm and cosy, despite it beginning to get a bit chilly outside! Kitchen kitted out well including cleaning products. The site is well maintained with friendly neighbours and staff. The local on site bar / restaurant is basic but homely and very family friendly. Peter was very prompt with all communications and very approachable. Simple clear instructions pre arrival and on the information sheets left out. The surrounding area is full of activities and restaurants etc - we have a to do list the next time we come, which hoprlefully won’t be too long!

“What a find :)” This lodge is lovely, secluded and cosy. It was perfect for me and my partner and our kids. There was plenty of space and everything that you could possibly need. The beach at the Loch was perfect for the kids to play at and the location is perfect for getting to anywhere in that area. Great time had by all, just went far to fast. Will defiantly be booking again.

“Tasteful, comfortable home with great central location” Lovely house, short walk from town centre. Comfortable, tasteful furnishings. Very clean. Great little garden which we enjoyed using, eating meals there in the sun. Better wi-fi than at home. Well equipped kitchen with lots of little extras available - tea, coffee, oils, sauces, cleaning liquids etc. Also a welcome pack of fresh bread, milk and things. There is a very handy (but not too close to be noisy) Tesco metro 3 mins walk away. Very helpful and accommodating owners. Street parking right by the front door. Inverness is a great city, just a few minutes pleasant walk over the river. Be advised to book if you want to eat out at weekends and most shops shut by 17.30. Lots of things to do without travelling too far. Some highlights were seeing dolphins close to shore at Chanory Point just north of inverness and a distillery visit (we looked out for a small one). Lovely beaches, lots of walking, castles, Loch Ness ( you should book a fortnight!)

“September break” Good all round cottage. Plenty of space. Clean tidy and well equipped. The toilets and shower room were exceptionally clean. Kitchen was spacious with all necessary utensils. There was plenty of parking. This was an ideal location for visiting the area. The only negatives were that the heating and water was controlled remotely and felt there was time when it would have been good to boost on cooler afternoons / evenings. Wi-fi was temperamental at time’s and could be poor.

“Stylish and stunning accommodation with beautiful views over the loch” This house exceeded our expectations and is even better than the photos. It is very thoughtfully laid out with everything you need supplied. The owners Chris and Da were very welcoming and helpful and our stay felt far too short!. It is perfect for visiting the beautiful west coast and we were treated to some of the best Scottish weather with fabulous blue skies. “A welcome break in Scotland” We stayed in this delightful Croft in the midst of a three week tour of Scotland and what a find it is. We arrived to find the kitchen stove blazing away to make the whole place cozy and inviting. It is obvious that the Croft is a much loved family home and there is a wonderful collage of photos to show many happy times. We found everything we needed including many informative books of Scotland and guides to the walks and places to visit in the area, even binoculars to view the wildlife. Not that they were needed to see the Roe deer that came down to graze most evenings. We counted seven on one occasion within feet of the house. Wonderful.

“Cracking cottage on the edge of Glen Coe village” I had a fantastic four days staying in the cottage. I had booked my stay at short notice and was given clear booking instructions from the owner. This made the process painfree and straightforward. When i arrived at the cottage, i found everything as explained in my welcome email. I w as pleasantly surprised to find logs and kindling sticks waiting for me. The a coronation was spotless and comfortable, just what i needed after a day walking. The location was perfect for me, just on the edge of Glen Coe village. There is a local shop and a garage almost on your doorstep that provides all the basic essentials. I would definitely recommend staying at the cottage.

“An excellent break in the Cairngorms” This is the second time we have stayed in Twosibe, as we enjoyed the first time so much. The property is comfortable and spacious with a wide range of amenities and some thoughtful touches. Situated in Aviemore, we had plenty of walks and nature trails close by, some of which had some stunning views. When we were not out in the Cairngorms we enjoyed the facilities that the property had to offer, such as the large television, Wii, and snooker table. In the evening we relaxed in the hot tub whilst watching some of the wildlife – including a woodpecker and a hare - in the wood that the property backs onto. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Twosibe, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a property with “a little extra” but at good value for money.

“Fantastic house” This house is amazing. It is very well equipped and finished to a very high standard. Bathrooms and showers are first class. The house is extremely well insulated and is therefore very warm when you get back from a cold day out. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything that you need to cook whatever you fancy. The location is also first class with a lovely woodland walk right on your doorstep. A short walk into the main town as well. We would definitely recommend this house.

Scottish Highlands holidays

The Scottish Highlands are among Europe's most imposing landscapes. Visitors come expecting crags and lochs, windswept mountains and deep-rooted tradition; that's exactly what they get. Venturing north of Stirling and Dundee, the intrepid traveler won't find another city until Inverness, where the legendary Loch Ness meets the Moray Firth. From there, winding roads and unspoilt vistas carry you to John O'Groats and the steely North Sea.

Highlands holiday cottages come in all shapes and sizes. If you're hoping to get closer to nature, lochside log cabins are an excellent - and economical - option. Or how about a stone cottage near the foot the UK's tallest mountain, Ben Nevis? Unless you're staying in a larger town, self catering in the Scottish Highlands is often the best option - it's unusual to get room service on a mountainside! If you're planning to stay somewhere truly remote, be sure to arrange some basic supplies beforehand.

Weird and wonderful

Without a doubt, Scotland has the UK's strangest wildlife. So strange, in fact, that it has eluded would-be monster hunters for decades. If you want to catch a glimpse of Nessie, perhaps a cruise along the vast Loch Ness, plus a tour of the crumbled Urquhart Castle, will be the ideal day out.

In the Cairngorm mountains to the south, you can walk among Britain's only herd of reindeer. You'll need a good pair of hiking boots, but the opportunity to feed them by hand is as popular with adults as it is with younger visitors.

Into the wild

Those with the stomach for adventure might consider scaling all 1,200m of Ben Nevis to reach the highest point in the country, 1,346m above sea level. You can leave your ice axes at home in summer, but it is a tough hike. Set aside a whole day to do it and savour the view from the summit.

From the highest point to the most northerly: at John O'Groats you can look out to sea from the very tip of mainland Scotland. A few miles west in Gills Bay or Scrabster, you can hop on a boat to the Orkney islands, home to thriving communities of islanders and countless wild birds. There are only a few sailings a day, so plan thoroughly if you don't intend to stay.

Absolutely Stunning!

From the moment we arrived, Chris and Da were the perfect hosts! Both the location and property are outstanding. The holiday let is kitted out with everything you could wish for. Putting the property aside the holiday package includes the use of their private fully stocked Beach hut on the edge of the Loch, does it get any better than this!!! If you are looking for the perfect holiday stay in the Highlands, you have found it, we would recommend to anyone and can’t wait to return. Chris and Da, we thank you. Gav and Sam.see more
Rowallan is a wonderful family home in the beautiful Highland village of Rogart.
Incredible family gate away

Cannot recommend this holiday let enough, it was the most equipped house we have ever stayed in! From kitchen utensils, to kids games to household essentials. The pictures don’t do the open plan kitchen- living area justice with a cosy fire in the living areas and a snug in the middle full of books and games (even for adults). The enclosed garden was ideal for the dogs and small children with views of the countryside at every window. We would happily come back here and highly recommend the hosts and accommodation. Thanks again!see more

2 Dellmhor Cottages
Week stay

Just returned from a week's stay at 2 Dellmhor (2 adults and 3 children). The cottage is really well positioned for access to Aviemore Town centre, Glenmore Forest Park and Rothiemurchus. The cottage itself is really homely, beautifully furnished and plenty of amenities. The hosts ensured we had everything we needed and everything was immaculately clean for our arrival.
