“Superb location if you want to just get away from it all” Excellent location for a crowd of folk who are interested in getting to know some remoter parts of Scotland. Brilliant for walking with dogs, enjoying fantastic scenery and eating great seafood. Weather was pretty inclement (very windy and quite a lot of rain) but it didn't stop us getting out and exploring the landscape.

“Room with a view” In fact every room had a wonderful view. Beautifully appointed house with supper quality finish. Five couples for the week had a wonderful time. Local couple were very helpful in organising our arrival and stay. Lovely place for our wedding reception. I told my current wife that I would properly book it for my next wedding. Look forward to coming back before then! Many thanks

“Lovely break” We had a lovely stay for 2 nights. The house is beautiful. We were a group of 8 and there was more than enough room for us all. The bedrooms are lovely and the bed were very comfortable. All the bedrooms were en-suite. The living are was also beautiful and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was very cosy at night time with the log burner on. A really good location for Inverness and also Loch Lomond. We had a great time and will definitely return in the future. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely couple of day away.

“Fabulous!!!!!” Home from home!!! We really enjoyed our stay at Dalfaber House. It was so comfortable and very clean. We loved the huge living space upstairs and the children loved the games and x-box. Bedrooms were a great size and kitchen well equipped for self catering. It was just perfect and we will definitely be back.

“Fantastic house” This house is amazing. It is very well equipped and finished to a very high standard. Bathrooms and showers are first class. The house is extremely well insulated and is therefore very warm when you get back from a cold day out. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything that you need to cook whatever you fancy. The location is also first class with a lovely woodland walk right on your doorstep. A short walk into the main town as well. We would definitely recommend this house.
Inverness City Centre house

“Tasteful, comfortable home with great central location” Lovely house, short walk from town centre. Comfortable, tasteful furnishings. Very clean. Great little garden which we enjoyed using, eating meals there in the sun. Better wi-fi than at home. Well equipped kitchen with lots of little extras available - tea, coffee, oils, sauces, cleaning liquids etc. Also a welcome pack of fresh bread, milk and things. There is a very handy (but not too close to be noisy) Tesco metro 3 mins walk away. Very helpful and accommodating owners. Street parking right by the front door. Inverness is a great city, just a few minutes pleasant walk over the river. Be advised to book if you want to eat out at weekends and most shops shut by 17.30. Lots of things to do without travelling too far. Some highlights were seeing dolphins close to shore at Chanory Point just north of inverness and a distillery visit (we looked out for a small one). Lovely beaches, lots of walking, castles, Loch Ness ( you should book a fortnight!)

Mellon Charles house

“No need of a sentence. The word >perfect< tells it all !” To describe Shore Croft you have to imagine a sea-Loch wit a length of about 12 km and a wide of about 2.5 km. On the rocks of a little headland nestling in grasy grounds you find this property with unobstructed views to the open sea and also to the surrounding shorelines. Lots of seabirds are often around, sometimes a seal, seldom an otter or purpoises. The sea ist just at your feet and watching the tides and the waves will never give you the feeling of boredom, also doing nothing but sit at the terrasse and watch ! The house itself is spacious, warm and absolutely windproof, decorated with a sense of aesthetic and cosyness. Nice sandy beaches and lots of cliffs are able to be reached within 15 to 30 minutes and real good creative cooking you can enjoy 3 miles away at the Restaurant of the Aultvea Hotel. Although soundinglike advertisment the best thing is that this becomes real if you made your way up (likely seldom down) to the Northern Highlands.
