“Fabulous house with something for everybody !” We spent a lovely weekend at the very impressive Mackenzie house ! Gail the owner was very helpful and welcoming ,there were lots of lovely touches including toiletries in the bathrooms, bottles of water and chocolates in our bedrooms, fruit and a beautiful hamper and even some essentials in the fridge ! This is a fabulous house with plenty to do , the hot tub and the bar were perfect for birthday celebrations and the cinema room was fantastic. We can highly recommend a stay at Mackenzie house and can't wait to visit again .

“Lovely house in perfect location” We've recently returned from staying in this house with a family of friends. There were 6 of us staying - 4 adults and 2 children. The house was very clean and warm, plenty of hot water always as well. The location was brilliant as only a shirt drive to the ski resort and a nice 20 min stroll into Aviemore town where we found some nice bars and restaurants. The Mountain Cafe is a must for breakfast! We would highly recommend staying in this cheating property.

“Great trip to Scotland” Our group of four persons visited the cottage in late march and we stayed for eleven days. We really enjoyed our time at the cottage and found it to be really comfortable. Everything in the cottage was clean and in top condition. The fireplace and the hot tub (wonderful after a day of hiking) were great and the kitchen equipment exceeded our expectations. The surrounding landscape is lovely and nice for walks. We did some great hiking tours despite the snow. There is a nice café down the street, too. Although a car comes in handy for getting some supplies and access to a wider range of activities. The booking and everything related to it was easy to be done even though we travelled from a foreign country. Pipers cottage is one of the best cottages I've ever visited and I would definitely recommend it.

“Second stay at this property and loved it even more!!!” Stayed at Nia Roo last year and loved it so much that we booked again for this year. Stay was even better as the weather this time was fantastic. Cottage is immaculate and so spacious, with fantastic views over the loch. Everything you could want is provided and Christine does a fantastic job keeping in touch regarding the booking etc and is extremely helpful. As the weather was so much better this year we managed to get out and about more. We loved to go down to the ferry at Glenelg and watch the seals bobbing about so close to the shore and see he sea eagle battling with the seagulls for their catch of mackerel. Last year we saw an otter there. The Glenelg Inn there is worth a visit. We went to Skye several times and particularly liked the walk on Coral Beach, where again we saw seals and a golden eagle. The trip to Applecross was amazing and lunch at the Applecross Inn (langoustine in hot garlic butter) fantastic. Also ate at Plockton Shores a couple of times (you really need to book) and that was excellent. The Kintail Lodge is only down the road and that does very good food also. As the cottage and location is so good (very quiet but everything you could want nearby) and there is still so much of the area we would like to see, we will be booking again for next year!
