“What a find :)” This lodge is lovely, secluded and cosy. It was perfect for me and my partner and our kids. There was plenty of space and everything that you could possibly need. The beach at the Loch was perfect for the kids to play at and the location is perfect for getting to anywhere in that area. Great time had by all, just went far to fast. Will defiantly be booking again.
“quiet retreat” With home made cakes waiting for us on arrival this perfect little cabin was spotless . Bed was very comfortable .It was just what we were looking for. The village is a Five minute walk away with lots of places to eat or just chill.

“Couldn’t be better!” If you want stunning scenery, wild life, interesting places to visit, a cosy well equipped lodge run by very helpful owners you couldn’t do better! We had a special few days here.
“Quiet location with stunning views” Once you have found Ronaldsay you have a great base for exploring the surrounding area and further afield. Local walks are ideal when the weather is not great. Various options for eating out.
“Abeautiful place with excellent facilities” We cannot rate this place too highly - it was a beautiful place to stay. William and Rhona were very welcoming. We enjoyed being in the countryside away from the noise of the city. However, it was an excellent place to stay for exploring the Highlands and the Cairngorms. Our 10yr old daughter who is disabled loved the place - the only thing that was difficult were the spiral staircase and the shower. The shower did have grab rails but it was not really a walk in shower - it couldn't have been done by a wheelchair user!
“Dog owners paradise” What a fantastic place to stay. It is one of the places we love going to,and hate having to leave. The welcome from Janet and alex is allways warm and friendly, and their knowledge of the local country and history will make sure you find all the interesting places which could be easily be missed.
The cottage is very well appointed, and has everything you need to keep you comfortable, there is also a good selection of books, dvd's and games to keep everyone happy.
I titled this review dog owners paradise, well behaved dogs will just love this place, they are safe in the grounds around the cottage and the area is surrounded by numerous forrest trails and walks within walking and short driving distance.
The cottage is also a great base for visiting the numerous tourist attractions the Highlands have to offer
