“Exceptional Property/Location and Stay” We had a four day stay with our 2 yr old daughter for visiting family in and around Aberdeenshire. This was perfect property for this as we like to relax after a day. Perfect place to do so and great being open plan but feeling cosy although we never got the chance to use the log burner due to weather this property would be a great stay in the winter. Our daughter loved trying to find goldy locks in the forest behind the house and love the walks along the road to the horses. We will defiantly be back and Mel was very easy to contact during our job Thanks Again Mel. The Scots

“Excellent house” Just spent a week at this excellent and well appointed house and cannot recommend it highly enough. Well furnished and equipped and only a few yards from the beach and harbour, the house is a perfect base for exploring this interesting and scenic coastline. Sarah, the house manager, gave us a great welcome and lots of information on places to eat and visit. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

“A gem in Bernera” We stayed at the ard for a week at the beginning of april. We had mixed weather but were always pleased to come back to the cottage. On arrival we were greeted with freshly baked scones and fresh flowers - a nice touch. Norma came round to make sure everything was OK and was on hand if needed but never intrusive. The cottage was always warm and had all the facilities we needed including a TV which wasn't small and had lots of channels! We would definitely recommend the ard and hope to return one day.

“Quiet comfortable and spacious accommodation in beautiful secluded setting near local amenities.” Mol Ban is tucked away beside a lovely beach with great views and yet is near to the amenities of Tarbert and Scalpay and within easy reach of the roads leading to the other areas of Harris and Lewis. It is a very relaxing private spot but with open aspects. We enjoyed fabulous walks and scenery within a five mile radius of the house but also ventured further afield on easy day trips to the south of Harris and up to Callanish and Carloway on Lewis. The house was warm and very comfortable and was very well maintained. It was spacious, with two separate sitting rooms, and plenty of room for keeping boots and outdoor gear out of the way. We hope to go back some time.

“Perfect place to relax !” We stayed in the bothy for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better place ! Relaxing, close to everything we needed and the facilities in the bothy were excellent. I would highly recommend for anyone wether they are just there to relax and stay exclusuively in the bothy or for a great base to make other journeys around Aviemore and the surrounding areas. The hosts are brilliant and were on hand whenever we had any questions. We will definitely be returning !

“Absolutely Fabulous” Beautiful, spacious, well appointed cottage in quiet location with great outdoor space. Rooms are large and tastefully decorated. Owners were extremely helpful and very accommodating. (Toaster was not working when we arrived - new one was delivered early next morning). We were a party of four generations (1-85) and everyone loved it. Room for children to play and enough space for adults to have peace and quiet. A great find!

“Excellent 5* Holiday Accommodation In Quiet Location” This holiday home is set in a quiet location overlooking the woods, but near all the local attractions amenities etc. A folder was left to peruse for ideas as 'what to do'? Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay has been thoughtfully provided. Comfortable beds, spacious kitchen, large lounge and a garden that even houses a jacuzzi, should you need to relax after a hard day enjoying yourselves? The whole house was very clean and well laid out. Children (and Adults!) found the games room especially fun with the Snooker table, TV, WFI and games. The owners were extremely helpful with all booking arrangements and nothing was too much trouble. Have no hesitation in recommending this house, you will want to return.

“Cosy Cottage” Had a lovely stay at this cottage, highly recommend, very warm and comfortable especially in the winter months, great coming in for a day skiing to a warm cosy cottage, plenty of living space and everything you need if staying in to cook a meal. Imagine this would be wonderful to stay in the summer as the garden was lovely, plenty of space to eat outside and even a bbq. Great stay and will book again.

“Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location.” Having had a stressful few weeks we needed a cottage that would provide us with a relaxing and tranquil holiday. Nia Roo was just what we needed. The owner gave us a friendly welcome and showed us around, giving us advise and tips plus a cake, flowers etc. She lived a few minutes up the road and stressed that she was available if we needed her, which was nice to know. The cottage was very well equipped, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Three spacious bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms and a terrific kitchen allowed us (parents and 2 teenagers) to spread out. It also had the most stunning views and we spent many happy hours in the sunroom watching the hills and loch changing in the light. The house does not have a garden (although had table and chairs outside) but has a large area of gravel around it. It is also built into the side of a hill and there is a steep drop at the front of the house which could be a problem with small children. There is not a great deal to do in the area unless you like stunning scenery, castles, walking, exploring etc. Visits to Skye, Applecross for lunch, Eileen Donan castle and Fort Augustus were our highlights. Shopping was also a bit of a challenge and we went to Inverness and bought enough food for the whole two weeks (great idea to have a freezer) but you could manage to get enough at the Co-op in the Kyle of Lochalsh (about 10 miles away) and buy milk/bread locally. However, for a lovely place to chill out, read, watch TV and admire the views I don't think you could find a better holiday home. Highly recommended!

“Fantastic Little Cottage” It was our first time stopping in this area of Scotland and chose to stay in Chelona cottage. I am glad we did as this is a fantastic little place to stay. It is very cosy, plenty of space for the three of us who stayed, immaculately kept and has everything you need and more. The log burner was great when the evenings started getting cooler just to take off the chill. Even though it is off main roads it is very close to places such as Elgin, Nairn, Forres and all surrounding areas which are easy to get to, and less than two miles from the coast which is just down the road. Ideal for people wishing to explore the surrounding area. A big thank you to Ian, the owner, who keeps on top of things and is seriously quick at replying to any queries you may have. Thanks again Ian for a great stay. Our only downside is that we wished we had stayed longer, there is always next time, we will be back.

“Very cosy” Nicely decorated, cosy and well-equipped cottage. Great Hot tub! The cows were a bit reluctant to let us go, as they were blocking the little road. The garden rabbit and the red deer on the hill made the wildlife experience complete.
