“great location ,well equipped and nicely designed modern house on the edge of beautiful countryside” We arrived to find a lovely clean ,well equipped house -all 6 women loved exploring the house & commenting on the various design features especially the pebble door knobs.
Dunkeld is a great location for walks to Birnam (past huge ancient trees),The Hermtage ( waterfalls) and past the Cathedral along the river to Dunkeld House passing even more specimen trees.Once a month there is a guided countryside ranger walk to Loch of Lowe where we saw the ospreys nesting & red squirrels .Perth is very close by with a good theatre & Art gallery.
There are many more things to do .This is just our choice for a week's visit. I'm very sure you wouldn't be disappointed.
“We are loving it. . . . Can we please move in!!” We are part way through our stay and we love it here. No need for photos or long explanations, this house is exactly as it says on the tin with cherries on top!! Beds are so comfy, the whole place is spotless and home furnishings are to a high standard, I love the fluffy towels!! Brilliant service and welcome from Kim and kenny. The house is well equipped, there is no need to leave, there is everything you could ever need. I think we have used every pot and serving dish enjoying some lovely family meals and some well needed chill out time. We got a lovely welcome hamper, puma our black lab and the kids really enjoyed their treats, as did us adults! Thank you!! The garden is magnificent and worthy of exploring every morning. I am going to miss the view from the downstairs bedroom! The rabbits come right up to the house and it is so relaxing just sitting watching the river. Just what we needed.
“Everything we hoped it would be and more” It's always a bit of a worry visiting a holiday property for the first time. Will it be as good as it looks on the website? Will it be clean? Will it be peaceful? I needn't have worried - what a wonderful lodge. Well designed accommodation complete with gadgets and quality fittings throughout - and not forgetting WIFI - much to the relief of our teenage daughter.
The site itself is very peaceful and tidy and is situated on the south bank of the River Tilt. Blair Castle & Gardens is a 10 minute walk away with Killiecrankie visitor centre and Pitlochry a few miles to the south. There are also plenty of outdoor walking and cycling routes in the area to keep the more energetic happy too.

Lovely spacious cottage
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Armoury. Well equipped and spacious cottage. Loved sitting/cooking/eating in the sunroom looking out to the large garden throughout the day before retreating to the cosy lounge at night. Rosemary was very helpful with directions etc and ensuring the cottage was nice and cosy for our arrival. Excellent area too! Will definitely be back!! …

Little Gem in Pitlochry
Having stayed here previously I had no second thoughts about booking up again. It seems to be continually updated anytime we arrive. Little bottle of wine & a cake waiting on you on arrival and a wee treat for the dogs too. Roland is always happy to help with anything you need. Property is 30 second walk from Main Street yet is very quiet. Property has everything you need. I would recommend this little gem to anyone.
If could I would give it Excellance Plus. …
Lovely retreat for two
Really lovely cottage and fantastic quiet location very close to Loch Earn. Cottage has been beautifully restored, is well equipped and the bed is comfortable. Small but well utilised space means there is plenty of living space for two (and a dog!) The location and thoughtful touches in the cottage made this a great stay and we would definitely recommend it and return for another stay. …

Glen of Rait Tower
Fab few days away
We stayed at the glen of Rait tower for 4 nights. We were 2 families with 5 children between us. The house is easy to find and just out of Rait village. It is a great base to explore the area, with lots of good attractions nearby. The house itself is very old and quirky, we loved it. The bedrooms are 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. The downstairs double being an en-suite. If renovated this would be a very mpressive property, but is perfect as it is as a holiday let, everything is old and pretty worn, but this adds to the charm you don’t have to worry about the kids wrecking things or marking nice furniture etc. The house is a great price and you get what you pay for if you want modern and luxury you need to pay 4 star prices! My advice is take slippers to wear as the old tiled floors are cold to walk on. The big dining table is great to sit around and we spent most of our time around it! Our kids loved the burn at the back and the Forrest. Make sure you take wellies and old clothes for the kids so they can potter in and out the burn. We all hiked up the hill across the road and the view from the top was stunning, we loved sitting at the picnic table at the top, with our bottle of wine. The kids were excited at the pool table but as in previous reviews it is not playable due to all the rips in the green, the kids had a go though. The nearest shops are either Perth or Dundee, we drove to Perth for takeaways and this was around 20 mins each way, there are no little shops nearby, so get what you need in Perth or Dundee en-route, there is a big fridge in the kitchen! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, the kids loved the adventure and were calling it our holiday castle :-) …
