Oban holiday apartment rental

Oban apartment

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Lovely Bay Apartment” We thoroughly enjoyed our three night break at Little Bay Apartment. It's in a great location for enjoying Oban, particularly for the ferry terminal. The decor and cleanliness were impeccable while the owners Jane & Kevin could not have been more helpful in responding to queries prior to our arrival. The little extra touches such as biscuits, snacks, DVDs and books made it a real home from home. We wouldn't hesitate to go back and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a visit to the area.

Rosneath cottage

“Well worth a visit” My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights and absolutely loved it. The cottage is very specious and well equipped. It has a spectacular view overlooking the loch and was very comfortable for our stay. The cottage is located within a half hour drive of lots of different tourist activities. We went clay pidgeon shooting and had a boat tour of Loch Lomond. I would say you need a car to get about for a holiday here. We would definitely visit again.

“Totally Amazing - Beautiful Family-friendly beachside cottage” Island View is an amazing cottage. It has stunning views of Jura and is literally across the road from the beach. My children loved the fact they could go to the beach on their own and I could watch them at all times. The house has everything that is needed - even down to Monopoly and badminton set. The owner was great to deal with and on hand throughout our stay if we had any questions. I would totally recommend this cottage and look forward to visiting the island again soon.

“Hard to imagine a more idyllic holiday setting” We have just spent two weeks (September 2014) at Ambrisbeg Cottage. We have lost count of our visits - must be 7 or 8 by now, and in all seasons. This surely bears testament to our sense of satisfaction with the property, its setting, and not least our hosts, Cathy and Robert, who are ever helpful and obliging.

“Lovely place for a quiet holiday” Enjoyed our stay at Snug. Took awhile to find it maybe they should say it is up the lane next to the Bowling Green as the the name of the lane is now missing. Only thing missing was a pint glass which we purchased from a Charity Shop and left for the benefit of others. Had great holiday enjoyed our walks to the local pub (about a mile) but was worth it for the welcome and excellent food espically at the Villagers Royal.

Holiday barn in Kilmartin

Kilmartin barn

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“A beautifully renovated barn in the remote glens of West Scotland. Idyllic.” If you're looking for a remote and peaceful place to stay surrounded by beautiful hills then Ballibrad is it. A few minutes drive up a track (and, as advertised, a very rough track!) the barn comes into view and it is truly stunning. Not another building in sight for 360 degrees. The barn has been stylishly renovated and the open plan kitchen/living room gives it a large, spacious feel. The wooden ceiling (hosting a disco ball!) is beautiful and the wood burner was easy to use and very effective. The best thing about Ballibrad, however, is the view from the enormous window - even in bad weather it was fantastic and a great thing to see first thing from the mezzanine bedroom. The bathroom is large and modern with an excellent shower. As dog owners, we loved being able to let the dog out to roam as the barn is fully enclosed and safe. I thoroughly recommend a trip to Ballibrad.

Great holiday in a quirky log cabin and fantastic location

Wonderful cabin in the perfect location to explore Kilmartin Glen and surrounding area. Lovely garden ideal in summer months (unfortunately we had lots of rain). Cabin was rather quirky over 2 floors, wonderful view from the lounge window and the bed was extremely comfy and cosy, perfect for the rainy days. Kilmartin Glen is full of rock art, standing stones and cairns to explore. Sadly Covid kept the all the museums and gift shops closed. Lochgilphead is just down the road for Co-op and fuel. Nearby Cairnbaan is a quaint place to visit with lots of locks and a swivel bridge. Further afield to the north is the town of Oban or travel south to Campbeltown. Would recommend a ferry across to Arran or Islay for a great day out. Was made to feel very welcome by the owner and the locals. Would stay again.see more
Cuilimuich Byre
Beautiful view

Beautiful position - tucked away down a little lane but the stunning open views over the loch and mountains are amazing. Lovely big garden at the back which the dogs loved, found some lovely walks including a circular waterfall walk which can be done from going straight out the house and up the track. Didn’t see many people but the ones we did see were very friendly and welcoming, we had being wanting to relocate to the area for some time and staying here helped make our mind up - it’s just magical. Everyday we saw wildlife - robins, herons, various birds, red squirrel. Ben Donich was an amazing walk. House was so cosy, had everything you needed, the beds were very comfortable, the chairs in the living room were in a great place to admire the view everyday, the showers were lovely as well. We would definitely book againsee more
Innis Chonnel Cabin with Hot Tub
Perfect

This a lodge is very cosy and I love the decor! Perfect location with regards to how close it was to the loch where you can fish, we found a secluded beach cove on site which was just over a little bridge where we spent 6 hours fishing and caught a Pike! The lodge consists of two bedrooms, one double room and one room with 3 single bunk beds which have a fantastic view from the window at the top, fantastic room for little children. Hot tub was beautiful to relax in, even in the rain! There is a shop and cafe a short walk away(currently closed on Tuesdays) and a few nice walks near to the site, we went for a walk to Oakwood Trail which is approx 10-15 mins away from site and will take approx an hour to walk around, it does get to 120m height but views along the way and the waterfalls are worth seeing. We took a walk to Loch Avich, it’s perfect for pictures and you’ll find the entrance to this by the sign for the Oakwood Trail. You are able to hire boats, although we didn’t do this, we wish we had because we could have visited the castle on the loch. We visited Glencoe, Fort William and Oban for the day. Glencoe is better for walks and deer spotting whereas Fort William and Oban are more for your tourists shops and attractions. These were approx an hour away from each other and Oban approx an hours drive away from site, we took a scenic route there and it’s picturesque!! Definitely worth getting out of the car for. We were kindly provided with washing up liquid, sponge, cloth and tea towels on arrival but you will need to take your own towels and hand towels for the bathroom. Linen was provided in both room and the double bed already made up for us, Thankyou! The single road drive to the site isn’t as bad as it sounds, it has been newly resurfaced and has plenty of passing places every minute so you won’t be stuck. There is an Indian and pub on the single road into site. The pub is called Kilchrennan Inn but unfortunately we did not visit but we did check the menu online. The Indian is called Black Rock Curry but don’t be fooled by the website and try to order online, just turn up and take what is available as it’s cooked in batches and froze so you have to take it back and cook for approx 40mins, this is about 10/15 minute drive away from the lodge and there is parking outside. It was lovely and a great price ! Overall we absolutely loved our stay, it’s a great place for couples, families and dogs, there are even a few rope swings around on site. This lodge shares the site with loads of other lodges but you have your privacy. Trip advisor won’t let me upload any more than 6 pictures but happy to send if you need to see any, enjoy !see more
Strumhor Beag apartment
Cosy and comfortable

My fiancé and I have just spent 5 nights in Strumhor Beag, and we absolutely loved it. The apartment is beautiful, cosy and sparkling clean. Beautiful views of the Falls of Lora and we could have spent hours looking outside! We arrived to home made bread and cakes which were very much welcomed after our journey! The apartment is really well situated for public transport, we used the train to get into Oban and take a break from driving. Would highly recommend the Oyster Inn for food - we ate there three nights of our stay as it’s so close (they do takeaway food too!) Olga was so helpful throughout, and considering the strange times we are living in at the moment, we were made to feel so welcome. The apartment is the perfect size for a couple, and if it wasn’t for the cold November weather we would have spent a whole lot more time outside on the private balcony. Maybe we’ll be able to return in the summer! Thank you Olga & Tony, you’re doing a fantastic job during these times, we felt so relaxed. Alastair & Heathersee more
