“Great do-friendly base for a healthy family outdoors holiday.” The cottage is ideally located about 10 seconds from the Dalfaber 9 hole golf course, 2 mins walk from Dalfaber Country Club and 15 mins walk to the village centre. It is really cosy, with 3 good sized bedrooms. There is also a garden with car port to store bikes etc without getting wet. The cottage is dog-friendly, which is ideal because there is plenty of leoely walks close-by.

About Aviemore

Aviemore was one of Scotland’s first ski resorts and today it is the most popular resort in the UK during the winter months. INCH KEITH spacious four bedroom house, quiet location, walk/bike from doorstep
Fabulous House and Location

Inch Keith has everything you need for a large family break apart from a tumble dryer and when it rains like it had this week it would have been handy, this however didnt spoil our stay as most of our outdoor gear is technical and dries fairly quickly but some items need ten minutes in a dryer to help with the reproofing, and I'm not a fan if socks and undies on radiators. Anyway enough of that, the house is warm and spacious for us all to spread out plenty of cooking equipment (I'm a bit sad and take an old slow cooker on these types of holidays) fridge/freezer is good family size and the utility room stays cool for pop and stuff, bedrooms are all clean and comfy with loads of storage space , loads of space in utility for storing boots, climbing ropes and gear, didnt go in the garage but I'm sure this would be great storage for bikes etc. Meg our dog loved the large garden and plenty of walks from the front door along the Speyside Way and along Aviemore Orbital . There is a local Coop on the estate which is as good as if not better than Tesco, the fish and chip shop and Pizza house on the same square are also very good, also bike hire available, recently opened Aldi and Home and Bargins just down the road, but M & S food very disappointing ok for hill snacks but dont expect to be able to put a meal together. Aviemore itself is a lovely Highland town the only down side for me is compared to the Lake District it's not very dog friendly . If you do take your dog with you and fancy a coffee I can highly recommend Tiso outdoor store next to Aldi, fabulous food and Coffee and dogs welcome, All in all another good week in the Highlands even in the rain … see more

Great break in great location

House is in a little Cul-de-sac with other mostly holiday homes, it backs on to woodland which is great for Dog walks. Located on the edge of the Town, it's quiet yet close to amenities. It has room for 2-3 cars in the drive. It's a great location for exploring the cairngorms and Lock Ness. We did a Day trip to John o'groats despite it being quite a drive and blowing a gale We got a pleasant surprise when in the yard one evening, the motion detected light went out and we were greeted with a spectacular night Sky, we got to see the Milky Way which is extremely rare in the UK due to light pollution in most areas. Here, despite the streetlights, the Sky was very dark - just a shame we couldn't arrange the Northern lights too. … see more
2 Dellmhor Cottages
Perfect Family Home & Location

We stayed at 2 Dellmhor for 3 nights with our 2 young kids (1yrs & 5yrs) and couldn't believe how perfect it was for families. The cottage is stunning, decor, fixtures & Fittings are all immaculate. There are no fiddly knick knacks that you need to worry about your 1yr old breaking (as with some other places), it's tastefully decorated with good quality furnishings and has everything you need for a nice chilled out family break. The TV has netflix on it (which susan kindly left logged in to her account) so no need to worry about entertaining the kids, there was board games provided if we needed them, the high chair, travel cot and towels all provided where immaculate (i took my own mattress for the travel cot) and this also meant it saved space when packing the car. The space in the cottage is amazing, my 1yr old loved practising her walking by chasing her brother up and down the hallway, the back garden is a lovely open space again perfect for kids to play, my 5yr old loved walking round the wee estate finding acorns. It was the perfect house, so perfect my partner chose to propose to me while we sat in the living room area so 2 Dellmhor will always have a special place in our hearts. You're only a short walk from the Rothiemurchus centre, with plenty of woodland walks close by. A short 7 minute drive has you in Aviemore town so you're close by to everything you need.
