“Peaceful, scenic, cosy” This log cabin really felt like a log cabin. It's built from logs! The view over the loch is a lovely welcome in the morning from the cosy lounge. The beds are comfortable enough and the shower powerful. There's no shortage of water here! It really feels like you are dropping in on another person's holiday home and sharing in their relaxation. Even better, as there was no Wi-Fi and phone reception a short walk (if you really need it), the kids and I could detox from the always-connected world. It's a good base for walks, trips to Loch Ness and Inverness. The Tomatin distillery was a great tour locally too - kids welcome. The kitchen was well equipped and the slow cooker really useful after a long day out.

“Perfect location with a cosy place to stay after a lond day.” We had a fantastic stay at Ben Lui.The cabin managed to fit all six of us (2 adults,4 small children),it was cosy but the kids loved it and the verandah was the perfect place to eat when the weather was good. The loch is stunning and we spent alot of time there on the swings and skimming stones, it was the perfect location to have our base with a gorgeous waterfall in walking distance and Oban a lovely drive away.On the whole a fantastic holiday that we're still talking about.

“Idyllic scenery” Very comfortable log cabin in idyllic countryside. Mobile phones didn't work - even though with different providers therefore there needs to be a landline. Bathroom very old. It would be lovely to have modern facilities. Otherwise a very comfortable Holliday.

“A beautiful cabin in a friendly village that we will never forget and would love to revisit.” We had a brilliant time. The cabin was beautiful. It had everything you needed and was exactly how it was described and pictured in the advertisement. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The views from the cabin were fantastic and the grounds were very peaceful. The staff and residents we met in the village pub were very friendly. Callander is very near which we liked as there were many places to eat. Also there was a tesco and co-op for us to buy some messages. I would say to anyone reading this looking for a cabin to rent that you should definitely book as we found it wonderful. Unfortunately it could not last forever and we had to come home.

“Perfect place to relax !” We stayed in the bothy for 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better place ! Relaxing, close to everything we needed and the facilities in the bothy were excellent. I would highly recommend for anyone wether they are just there to relax and stay exclusuively in the bothy or for a great base to make other journeys around Aviemore and the surrounding areas. The hosts are brilliant and were on hand whenever we had any questions. We will definitely be returning !

“Mrs” The lodge is in a great location to use as a base and go out exploring. Although the lodge was very cold when we arrived, the whole place warms up quickly once the heaters are on. The lodge is fully equipped with everything you'll need for a self catering holiday. Dalbeattie is a ten minute drive away for any necessary essentials. As we were there for Burns Night, we got some haggis from the butchers in Dalbeattie, and had a traditional burns supper. We did a lovely coastal walk with our Border Collie, from Sandyhills Caravan Park (which is only 500yrds down the road from the entrance to the lodges) to Rockcliffe, which is about 5.5miles, and caught the bus back. Beautiful sea views and a great walk. One of the highlights of staying here is the wildlife. If you take bird seed and nuts for the squirrels, you won't be disappointed. We also saw deer and a badger, and we only stayed three nights. Beautiful part of the world to visit and a great place to stay.

“Great stay” Hi stayed here with my wife and two daughters for a week.the cabin is easy to find and in a lovely location.it has all you need for you're stay clean towels and bedding,TV,freebies,DVD player etc but to be honest the view out of the front window is amazing and you can sit on the porch.the only complaint I have it the couch and chair they are so old and smelly we covered them with a blanket and need replacing, but apart from that it is a fantastic base to go traveling and Tesco and petrol stations are only 10 mins drive..I would definitely recommend this place to stay and would love to come back.

“Cosy Scottish retreat with stunning views!” We stayed at Stable Lodge for our Easter break and had a wonderful time. We were welcomed by Fiona who was very helpful and friendly. We arrived to some lovely treats, a cold bottle of wine and a fire in the log burner. The lodge have two lovely bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The lodge was very well equipped with everything needed. There is a great decking area outside to sit down with a glass of wine on a nice evening and take in the beautiful views. The kids enjoyed the great space outside to run around in and to explore. The location of the lodge is great and gives you full privacy whilst still in driving distance of all the great activities the area has to offer. We would highly recommend Stable Lodge and hope to return soon.

“Peace and Quiet” The owner is very friendly and welcoming (incl gifts!). The house is spotlessly clean. The bed is very comfortable, All you could need in the kitchen. Great views from the conservatory and from the covered decking. Background storage heating would have been an advantage (electric panel heaters and oil filled radiators only).
