“A wonderful week” We are a family of four (2 children 14 and 12). We spent a week at 12 Tory in July. We loved, loved, loved the cottage. The setting, the décor, the kitchen, the comfortable beds, everything had been thought of. I have even taken a few design ideas to use back at my own home. I am definitely recreating the mini library in the corner of the living area. The area of Tory is high up overlooking Bradford on Avon, the walk in to town takes about 2 minutes down some steps, the walk up a bit longer, but nowhere near as bad as it first seems, we walked it many times during the week. Free car parking on road or car park behind. Kitchen has everything you need, modern and roomy. Living area, loved the sofa, a desk area, and the mini library (as mentioned earlier). The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in with gorgeous bedding. My kids have told me I have to recreate 'Maggie's beds' at home!!! The view from the bedroom windows is outstanding. I would open the windows first thing every morning and just take in the world quietly while waking up - bliss!! Bradford on Avon is a beautiful village, a good place to base yourself for seeing the local sights. We went to Trowbridge, Bath, Glastonbury, Stonehenge, Bicester Village, Newbury, Westbury to see the White Horse that can been seen from the cottage windows. The trains run very frequently from the very quaint Railway Station to Bath, Bristol, London etc. We are sorry to leave but feel very privileged to have stayed in this beautiful cottage. “Lovely house” We enjoyed our stay , the house is beautiful and had everything we needed and more, such attention to detail, clean and cozy whilst having so much space upstairs, perfect. The only slight disappointment was that we could not open the back door to let our dog into the garden area pictured online , part of the reason we booked this property was because we thought we had finally found somewhere where the dog could potter about in the garden whilst we were in the kitchen perhaps or where we could let him out late at night , however all though the property has a yard the grassed garden area is accessed behind the garage across the area at the back of the house and is not visible from the house - it’s sort of separate, not a criticism as may be my fault for not reading this properly in the description, I haven’t checked but just not what we expected. Nonetheless we would love to return to this ‘home from home’ when in Coniston with the family.

“Beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings” We stayed the weekend in this lovely converted stone barn. The work done to it is really excellent and all facilities were as good, if not better than we could have expected. Kitchen is very well kitted out and, like the bathroom, is very clean and tidy. A very large, very comfortable bed all added up to complete relaxation. There is a great selection of books and DVDs available and plenty of information on the surrounding area, in particular for walking and cycling. Karen and Richard were extremely welcoming and gave us great advice on what to do and provided a map and explanation of a wonderful walk and climb to the summit of Cadair Berwyn which was a fantastic day out. The area is spectacular with beautiful scenery on all sides. The town of Bala is a few minutes away with all amenities but not at all touristy or busy. The main tourist areas of Snowdonia are close at hand as well. We are already looking forward to a return trip.

“Everything you would want in a holiday home.” The holiday home was a home from home. There were 7 in our family aged 10 - 64 & there was plenty room for us all. The downstairs bedroom was great for my husband & myself. We all enjoyed the holiday very much.

“A cosy spacious cottage with everything you'll ever need” Located in a lovely area and central for lots of walks or drives in the lakes. Lovely comfy beds, spotlessly clean and fitted out with everything you'll ever need. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and would love to return one day.

“Great place to stay” Warm & friendly welcome from Sue and Len. Quiet location in the countryside. Fresh eggs highly recommended. Mobile 'phone worked fine on EE network. Now has very good Wi-fi. Excellent facilities. Would definitely stay here again :-)

“Great Location & Accomodation” The Two of us stayed here with our dog for a couple of midweek nights in a cold March. Lynn dealt with the booking really efficiently. We were pleased with the Beach House when we arrived - warm & cosy, well fitted with a very comfortable & very large bed. The area is quiet at night. The House is almost on Crosby Beach & the station on the Liverpool - Southport line is a short walk away. Food shopping in Crosby, a short drive away. Will return.

“Would highly recommend - really charming cottage!” Wonderfully cosy,clean and comfortable cottage for 2 people or solo traveller. Tastefully decorated and furnished. We felt very rested by being there Very quiet street in hilltop village. Ideal for exploring area around St Davids, beaches,wildlife ( lots of seal pups) coastal walking, good local places to eat. Didn't know the area before we went and still more to discover. Could imagine this is lovely at any time of year.
