“What a find on the Isle of Wight” Loved the island. The house was spacious and well located. We felt safe and well provided for. Chickens were a bonus with fresh eggs and it was great to be able to BBQ on the terrace. All together a great stay.

“Great venue for a family wedding” Birdsgrove House is a beautiful house in a stunning setting with extremely well-kept grounds which stretch down to the River Dove. It fitted perfectly with the idea of the sort of venue we wanted for our early June wedding. We were a “mature” couple looking for a wedding venue. We had sisters, brothers, children, and grandchildren who lived a long way away so we were looking for a house where we could have enough bedrooms for them all to stay for a weekend houseparty with the actual wedding held there. There were enough bedrooms for them all to stay for the whole weekend. One family with children of varying ages stayed in Hope Cottage in the grounds and their parents said it was perfect for them, and they were very happy there. When we saw Birdsgrove House and were shown round by Kerry, the proprietor, we knew we had found the right place for the wedding we had in mind. We had 30 people staying on the Friday evening, more guests arriving on Saturday for the wedding, and another 35 friends for the evening celebrations. On the day, the room where the ceremony was held looked lovely with dainty chairs, and a huge window looking out onto the grounds. The room was then transformed into a dining room for the wedding breakfast. The house is versatile. As well as the large reception room with comfy chairs and settees where guests can sit and talk, there are other rooms where they can sit for a while and then go and dance as and when they want, with a separate room for the disco. There is a playroom there which was extremely popular with the children. Outside in the grounds there is a trampoline and fort with a slide which the children loved. The guests enjoyed walking around the grounds and by the river. Kerry has the expertise which we needed, as it was a daunting prospect to have to organise the weekend, and she was extremely helpful with many suggestions. The house works very well for families of all ages and was ideal for us. We had so many people commenting on what a lovely venue it was, and since the wedding we have had more cards and thank you letters saying that it was so perfect, and how much people had enjoyed the wedding weekend.

“Excellent House - Would highly recommend” We stayed at The Old Neptune in Ipswich for the weekend of 23rd March 2012 for my sister's Hen weekend, there were 22 ladies and we were all overwhelmed by the house and the facilities it had to offer. The house is a little gem, hidden away in the hustle and bustle of Ipswich's Marina. With 12 bedrooms, all with double or super king sized beds there was plenty of room for everyone, all the bedrooms were decorated to a high standard and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. There was the added bonus of a new sauna fitted, but we didn't know so none of us came prepared to use it. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We had caterers in on the Saturday evening in order to take advantage of the excellent dining room. The lounge was comfortable too. Basically the whole house was beyond what we expected, the house is seeped in history and a real find. The courtyard was exceptional too. A thoroughly great weekend spent by all.

“Wonderful house and gardens” We spend a wonderful week in the Ludlow Manor House. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room for our party of six adults and two children and we were warmly welcomed by the house manager, Emma and her husband. The well equipped kitchen meant we were able to take full advantage of Ludlow's fantastic food shops (the local Mortimer Forest venison is highly recommended!). But what really made the house so special for us was the outside space - beautifully maintained gardens, a well equipped play area for the kids and an addictive little golf course that persuaded even the total beginners in our party to swing a golf club.

“50th bday party house” A surprise party was booked at the house for extended family and close friends (31 in total) and it was amazing. Wonderful comfortable bedrooms and well spec-ed bathrooms; down stairs there was a large kitchen with 3 dishwashers (running 24/7!); hall with roaring fire, library- again with roaring fire, dining room for magnificent dinner and the party room for dancing until 5am. A great venue; a fantastic time was had by all - would highly recommed

“Stunning” We stayed at Great Tangley manor for my husband’s 40th birthday with family - It was amazing - All I could have hoped for and more - The wow factor is really indescribable - Have to see it to believe it - Simple to book - Nicho was really helpful and on hand with everything - We were personally greeted and given the tour (which my husband just walked around in amazement!) - The gardens are beautiful - The house has all mod cons (which are essential with little ones) - Would we go back again- Yes! - This is truly a stunning house to be enjoyed by all ages (the kids had the best time playing hide and seek!) – The whole family have not stopped talking about the weekend - Cannot wait to go back

“As a holiday home Llanlliana has it all!” What a wonderful, secluded location to spend a few days/week away. As a holiday home Llanlliana has it all. Where to start - Dan & Nikki are fabulous hosts, so welcoming & nothing is too much trouble for them. The whole house is beautifully & very practically furnished to the highest specification, with everything you could wish for & more in a holiday home. All of the rooms are without exception extremely stylish, having been tastefully decorated whilst retaining a very homely feel about the place. We have spent a couple of long weekends there with friends over the last two years & it has been lovely to have the space for all of us to get together comfortably to eat & relax in the same rooms. All I can say is what a stunning place! A Leedham, Staffordshire

“Exactly what we were hoping for” Booked Ewelme Manor for a long weekend for my wife's 65th birthday to celebrate with 18 friends and family. Ewelme Manor turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for. A grand home with nine well appointed individual bedrooms with great character. We wanted to be able to have formal dinners in a beautiful setting which the dining room and lounges provided. Candida recommended Mint Catering who were excellent and Kristina provided great help on behalf of the owners. The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything we needed. Ewelme Manor is a house full of character and a quirky style which we loved.

“What more could you want??” The Hall was booked as a surprise for a group of friends over a long weekend, it was simply fantastic. Everyone was amazed by it all and thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend, especially the kids. It was one of the best weekends away that we have shared, which will never be forgotten. It will be very hard to beat??

“A fantastic break” The is by far the most amazing house & weekend away we have had for many years!! We stayed with 3 families and 8kids over the Easter w/e and there was still room for more friends. The house itself was perfect, the kids loved the play room and all sleeping in the upstairs room. It also has a great cinema surround sound system for them to have 'movie nights'. The other bedrooms were all full of character and luxious. The summer house a great place entertaining although we just settled down in one of the rooms and enjoyed the open fires. The grounds are stunning & enormous, the kids loved the tennis courts, playing cricket or croquet on the lawn, feeding the chickens, peacocks & avoiding the geese! Seeing wild deer roaming the gardens. We only discovered the secret tree house and horse swing on the last day which provided hours of enjoyment. We just need to go back in the summer when its hot enough to enjoy the swimming pool. Janine also provided us with so many great additional extra's that we took full advantage of, which made the w/e extra special. We had one the local pubs/catering provide us with most fantastic roast dinner, with starters and desserts which worked out no more expensive they going to eat in a pub itself but the pleasure of not having to leave the house. We also had an amazing take away indian from Janine's contact at Ethnic Fusion which I also highly recommend. Finally we had someone come in on Easter sunday to do archery and rifle shooting we have kids as young as 3 having a go, which I think the adults ended up enjoying more than the kids!

“Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings” We chose this house as it was conveniently located for a re-union of Uni friends, some who live in England, some in Scotland. It's located only about 10 mins from the motorway. The house is beautiful, and very well equipped and maintained. We were a group of 11 adults and 4 infants. The site does say it may not suitable be suitable for infants due to the close proximity of the river, but we had no issues with this, the river is well fenced off from the garden. The bedrooms are stunning and bathrooms equally so. The kitchen is well- equipped and fantastic as a family room while the toddlers ate. The reception rooms are spacious and there's even a large formal dining room, where we ate our Indian takeaway on our first night! It was November when we were there so, yes, it was cold, but that's only to be expected, so bring slippers and a warm jumper or 2! The crowning glory for us was the grounds. The toddlers loved it, splashing in puddles and collecting leaves. We can't recommend Dumcrieff highly enough and look forward to booking it again soon.

“Our home away from home in Scotland !!” What a place! On approach, the first time, it is like driving up to your own stately home! Inside it is cosy and comfy. Lovely wood burning stove and all the comforts of your own home! We were there for the Thanksgiving Holiday and we cannot wait to return. Our vacation included 6 people and there was plenty of room for everyone and lots of nooks and crannies for time alone, reading, reflecting or whatever too. The kitchen is great and the common rooms are great for family time and game playing etc.. JUST what we were looking for! Make sure to go for Ice Cream at Cream O Galloway nearby!!

“Great base for a Hen weekend” We stayed at Easter House of Ross for a long weekend Hen do. The scenery and drive up was beautiful! The house looked much bigger in person, the lounge and kitchen/ diner were huge and easily accommodated all 9 of us and gave us all the appliances we could need e.g. Oven, fridge, freezer etc.The beds were large and comfortable and there was always hot water. The Hot tub was ready to go when we got there and really made the weekend for the bride to be. The neighbours were friendly and Taxi's were a reasonable price to Perth and Crief. I would recommend bringing extra toilet rolls along with you if in a large group. A great time had by all!

“Fabulous venue for a wedding” We married in Telford House on 8/10/16 in front of our family and friends. The owners, Chris and Thomas and caretaker Colin made us feel so welcome and helped us every step of the way to make our wedding a most wonderful day. There was even some amazing and unexpected extras that made our weekend so special. Jonathan and I cannot thank them enough! This is a beautiful house, set in the Scottish Borders and I hope to return for an anniversary gathering.
