“Excellent lodge, great hospitality!” The accommodation was excellently presented and extremely clean. 5 mins from Gleneagles golf resort. All the beds were really comfortable and the whole setting was extremely relaxing. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans etc & even left some basic essentials for use such as tea & milk. Even some wonderful Easter eggs much enjoyed by my little girl and perhaps some older "children" too. Thanks very much for helping our weekend be so enjoyable! Highly recommended

“Gorgeous views with plenty to do” The lodge was in a beautiful peaceful setting secluded just minutes from Mabie Forest. The views were lovely and we even saw a woodpecker in the garden. There are plenty of places to see, we ventured out to the coast, went for walks in the forest, drove out to a castle and more. Would definitely return here.

“Accomodation of an A1 standard.” Ideally situated for walks into Blackwater foot and all the local facilities. Would recommend a vist to the Kinloch Hotel where food is resonably priced , and dogs are allowed in the bar area. Accomodation is suitable for those with mobility issues, and is situated in a very tranquil atmosphere. All your needs are catered for in the lodge and it is kitted out to a very high standard. Alan the owner makes himself readily available by mobile phone . My in laws who have been to Arran on numerous occasions over the last twenty five years say this is one of the best accomodations they have stayed at. Highly Recommneded.

“Fantastic for a quiet break.” We have stayed in this lodge two years in a row now. Very peaceful, everything we needed was in the lodge. Lovely setting and a nice walk to leisure centre for swimming pool and restaurant. Would recommend

“50th Birthday Surprise” Fantastic time with my family. Husbands 50th surprise. Lodge is amazing, clean, spacious and beautiful outlook. Welcome pack on arrival much appreciated. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back. Also, the use of leisure club pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna was excellent.

“The perfect place to unwind and be close to nature” We have stayed in the Kestrel's Nest cabin a few times now and this time we took along our three year old grandson who loved every minute. He collected eggs and fed lambs and we rambled all over the farm and had a great time. Peter and Therese are very nice and make you feel very welcome. It is also a good location for days out too being close to Nairn and Inverness. I will definitely be going back for another visit and would recommend it very highly.

“Great place, clean, well presented, spacious well looked after” Stayed over Christmas visiting my parents in a nearby village, with my family (wife, 21 yo, 18 yo and 15 yo). It was spacious, had enough bathrooms for everyone and for their privacy, a great kitchen with separate utility room for drying the clothes, a really nice veranda in to the living room, a real log fire which the kids loved, comfy furniture, snuggly beds, clean and tidy. Has Freeview and DVD player, even a couple of games and DVDs as well. Wifi is the only thing that would be great to have but understandable why it doesnt. Loved it so much we are staying again in the summer 2013

“Paradise” Glorious location, near the northern tip of Scotland. 10 minute walk to the sea. Beautiful scenery. Hundreds of acres of countryside and genuine fresh clean air. Quiet & secluded. Peaceful and relaxing, yet dozens of activities for the restless: indoor swimming, biking, countryside walks, wildlife, shooting, whisky tasting, historical castle, sailing (during our summer visit), and I've left out dozens of other activities. Stayed there 4 times in the winter and once in the summer. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time every time, and in all variations of weather. We've been with friends and family: everybody thoroughly enjoyed it, from the babies in their buggies to my elderly uncle in his eighties. My deepest regret: we cannot go this summer.

“We loved it” The house is huge, with lots of space. Even for 10 of us, we kept losing each other! Everything was ready for us getting there, rooms all cleaned and fresh beds. The warm open fire on the living room was amazing when it was cold outside. The pool room and table tennis definitely kept the guys busy over the weekend. Overall we had a great weekend would def recommend. Loved it. Thank you so much x

“Excellent accommodation, well equipped and very relaxing stay.” We had a really lovely week at Brekka Lodge. The house itself was very comfortable, warm and well equipped. Spotted a pod of Minkie whales heading south down along the coast from the living room! (Well, ok … with binoculars!) Would recommend Brekka to anyone looking for self-catering in Shetland.

“A very comfortable and enjoyable stay.” Despite the appalling weather that we experienced during our week at Waterloo House we had a very enjoyable week. This had a lot do with the property which was a very comfortable retreat from the outside world. Nearly everything you need is provided in the property so you don't need to take much with you. The setting is superb with stunning views.

“Beautiful, peaceful, welcoming.” Nothing bad to say about this place, the cabin was clean, comfy, everything to make your stay perfect. Mel and family were so welcoming and helpful. Would certainly stay again and recommend it to everyone I know. Its a great base for going off each day and visiting the Highlands, or the coast depending on how much driving you wish to do. We had an amazing time there.
