“Perfect house in a perfect location” We stayed comfortably at Yellow door and definitely hope we get the chance to stay again. A cute little cottage with bags of character and beautifully presented in what can only be described as the friendliest safest place on earth!! We were there for the Tattoo (which was brilliant) and this cottage had everything we needed and more to be close to the UKFM majorettes who we were supporting. If we hadn't had to chase the coach home we would have stayed the week as despite the running around - coming back to yellow door was a home from home and helped us relax instantly. Wonderful communication and welcome from Neil and Patricia and an added bonus - they provided towels which most rentals don't! Thank you so much for such a great stay x

“Fantastic house” Just spent a week here. To say the house is fantastic is an understatement. We were the first family in since lockdown eased and it had everything we needed and more to stay safe. The house itself was welcoming, warm and large enough for our whole family. We had a gorgeous welcome with bread, milk, fresh butter and shortbread waiting for us on our arrival. With an Xbox, PlayStation, Alexa and sky the kids were more than entertained in an evening and with views over the harbour and gorgeous woodland walks on our door step we were spoilt and we really did have a fabulous break. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone and will definitely be coming back.

“Comfortable home from home” Lovely clean, spacious and comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our week in Skye. Great location with spectacular views over Staffin Bay. Close to Quiraing, Old Man Storr, Kilt Rock and easy to travel to all parts of Skye. First time visitors should note cottage itself is not signposted from the road-follow the sign for Boraig Cottages and you can’t go wrong. Would definitely stay here again.

“Excellent cottage, with minor reservations” The cottage is on the whole lovely, very well recently converted/refurbished, very clean, very well fitted, and very well equipped (kitchen equipment etc.). The view from the terrace is lovely, looking out to the sea. It’s also in a very good location, with a short walk up to the headland. It’s fairly remote, so don’t come if you want to spend a lot of time in Stornoway/visit Harris much (an hour/hour and a half)/visit places much further afield (long drives along a lot of single carriage way roads). Worked well for us rock climbers and runners/walkers, as plenty of place to practice our sport! The cottage is quiet, though the sheep can be fairly noisy at times. A gripe are the neighbours dogs, or their lack of control. On the north side had a problem with barking dogs/dog one evening, and on the morning we left (at 4.30am to catch a ferry), the neighbours dog on the south side wouldn’t stop running around the car and barking fairly aggressively. It was very difficult to drive off without running it over (I would have been tempted...). Both neighbours should keep better control of their dogs. If I had been of a more nervous disposition, and didn’t have a partner to shoo away the dog, I wouldn’t have been able to drive away that morning, and would have had to wake the neighbours to ask them to control the dog. I’d happily go back, but not unless I had assurance about those dogs!

“Perfect in every way! Even our cat had a ball!” Sandytoes cabin is a cosy, comfortable and welcoming home from home located in Sandyhills Holiday Village. The beach is minutes away and it is perfectly situated for trips to lots of different towns and attractions. Castle Douglas has lots of independent retailers and places to eat! Dumfries is great for shopping. Holly, the owner , is so kind and helpful! We brought our cat with us and Holly left a pack of Dreamies for her. Lovely little touches all round the cabin, which is beautiful! Everything you could possibly want or need in a holiday home is there. The badgers are so entertaining too! We loved our "badgerwatch" every night! They love croissants and peanut butter , by the way! This was the perfect break for our wee family with very comfortable accommodation. Loved it so much we booked to come back in 3 weeks time! Thanks, Holly!

“A delightful old cottage” This is a real gem of a cottage for up to 5 people. The location in the heart of the East Neuk of Fife is perfect for exploring the delights of the Kingdom of Fife. The cottage itself is full of charm with 3 bedrooms and a full kitchen. Nice open plan lounge and dining room and a powerful shower in the bathroom. We were 3 golfers and this cottage was ideal - only 5 minutes from Elie GC, 15 minutes from Crail GC and 20 minutes to St Andrews. Julie the owner is an excellent host and took care of all our arrangements with a very friendly and warm hospitality. This is a place that I would recommend 100%

“Fantastic holiday home.” Booked this holiday home for myself, my husband and our 3 children. The owners of the property were very helpful from the moment we enquired about booking all the way through the process. Lovely people very friendly and helpful even when we were staying at the property. The property it’s self is fantastic it was immaculate all the way through. Very clean and well presented. They have thought of everything even down to leaving some outdoor games for our children to enjoy. Fantastic!! The en-suite was a bonus aswell. The hot tub is fantastic and lovely to sit in in the evening with the lights on in the hot tub. The kids loved it. We will definitely be booking this property again. All round fantastic.
