“Highland hideaway charm and modern comfort .” Lovingly restored, thatched roof black house that has been in the MacSween family for generations. All modern comforts and conveniences provide a luxurious base from which to explore this stunning island or to just chill by the log fire. All this and a beautiful beach 2 mins along the road . “Great House close to town” This is an ideally situated house, close to the town centre in a quiet neighbourhood. It is about 10 mins brisk walk to the edge of town - our son is at the University and to those that know you can get to Regs in about 10mins. It is clean, tidy and the beds are comfortable. We will use it again.

“Loved it!” Very spacious cottage, wonderful situation, loads of history and wildlife and when the sun shines it couldn't get any better. We visited Kilmartin archaeological museum, Arduaine Gardens, Luing & Easdale Islands as well as Oban. When we felt lazy we simply sat in the garden listening to the sea and watching for what wildlife might appear. We did see an otter and others have seen dolphins - magic!

“Fantastic cottage in a great location” Perfect cottage for a fantastic holiday. Just a couple of things, the kitchen is so full of the owners own food that there is no space for ours! Also, the bedroom could do with a full length mirror, otherwise would definitely return.

“A Perfect, cosy apartment with everything you need and only a minute from the harbour!” A perfect, cosy apartment with everything you need and only a minutes walk from the harbour. A local shop, The Diving Gannet cafe, St. Monans Smokehouse and the the wholesale fishmonger at the top of the village make the apartment location ideal. The East Neuk villages are all close by and St Andrews is about 30 minutes away by car. The seaside themed decor was a nice touch and met with much approval form everyone. Ideal for couples or couples with one child as you can bed down in the open plan living area on the sofabed and gaze at the sea! Dog friendly too!

“Lovely retreat” We wanted somewhere special for my husband’s 40th birthday and were so pleased with Morelaggan House. The kitchen was brilliant with all you need and more; a haven for baking. Views from all the rooms were breathtaking. We were lucky enough to have great weather which gave us a chance to explore the area. We had one rainy day which we thoroughly enjoyed nestled in the living room with the cinema screen and impressive log burner, enjoying quality time with the children. We hope to return in the future.

“Cosy Cottage” This cottage lived up to its name. It was a lovely, comfortable retreat at the end of a busy day. It was easy to heat and was well equipped. The beds were really comfortable. The decor is very traditional but suited us. The cottage was immaculate. We liked the location, peaceful but very easy to get to all parts of the Island. David, our host, communicated well with us prior to our stay and gave great directions to help us get there.A courtesy call when we arrived was appreciated. The Island is stunning and we had an amazing holiday

“PARADISE” Where to start! The Stable Cottage is beautiful. All appliances and furniture is of the highest specification and there’s nothing else you could possibly ask for in a holiday let. The view from the patio doors is sublime and literally takes your breath away every single time. Great location. Hidden away yet accessible for so many places to visit. So, even with all that, what makes this place even more special is the hosts - Ronnie & Laura. Will leave you alone if that’s what you want but are on hand to help in any way. Ronnies freshly baked scones are not good for the waistline but they are so delicious you just can’t help yourself. He was great with our two dogs and even offered to look after them if we wanted to go for dinner. I’ve never met more helpful and friendly hosts. Although the Stable is a little piece of paradise, the hosts are what take this destination onto a whole new level. You absolutely won’t be disappointed!

“Cosy cottage in perfect location” My husband and I stayed in the Bolthole for just over a week. It was great being able to extend our stay by 2 nights to maximise our holiday. The cottage is warm and comfortable and we had everything we needed. Internet access was good. There was plenty of hot water, a bath and a shower. The bed was comfy. I think it would be a bit squashed for 5 people. It was perfect for the two of us. The sitting room furniture could be a bit more comfortable and the TV was elderly, meaning that computer connections were impossible and there was no facility for DVD playing. Thankfully there are lots of distilleries nearby to visit on rainy days and the Mash Tun is a super local whisky bar just 2 minutes walk from the back of the cottage. Stella is a great hostess- there was a generous welcome pack including milk and biscuits, apples and a bottle of Prosecco. Tea, coffee, sugar, loo rolls all provided and lots of nice soft towels. The Speyside Way is just round the corner with good walks in both directions and the Moray Coast Trail is about 40 minutes away - beautiful coastal walks. Aberlour is a lovely village and the locals were very friendly and helpful. Excellent small shops including coop, butcher, delicatessen, newsagent, gift shop, hardware shop and petrol station. The Dowans Hotel was excellent for food and has an amazing wall of whiskey in their Still Bar. The Copper Dog at Craigellachie on the Speyside Way is also great for food, atmosphere and whiskey. All in all a super stay. Thanks Stella!

“Perfect place” Enjoyed all the amenities of Portree as well as easy access to the sights of Skye from Brightwater cottage. The traditional stone house has everything you'll need and is a warm spot to come back to after a day out and even has a handy drying area at the back for muddy shoes. Don't bring a lot of fresh food because the fridge is small, but there's a handy co-op only 2 minutes walk away so you'll have everything you need at hand. A pebble bay and circular walk are moments from the front door and kids can be entertained at Aros on rainy days. And on top of that, you can wake up and watch the sun rise across the water - bliss.

“Excellent little place for a short break in Glasgow” What we needed was a comfortable place for the two of us. Somewhere to stay for a week while we explored Glasgow. It surpassed our expectations - what a great place! The cottage is very well appointed and furnished. The kitchen/dining room was the favourite, especially at breakfast time. We did have a chance, a couple of afternoons, to get out into the garden and enjoy the sun-trap at the top. Very pleasant. The location is great too - about five minutes walk from Partick metro and bus station. A daily ticket on the underground is only a couple of quid. So we parked the car up, off-road, at the beginning of the week and never used it again until we had to leave. So many thanks to ann and Roger, we would be very happy to come back and use it again. “Lovely Relaxing Holiday” After a long drive, arriving at Heatherfield was well worth the journey. The cottage was immaculate and very well presented. We stayed with grandparents and our 1 year old son and there was more than enough space for everyone. The cottage offers a games room, for those rainy days, 3 very spacious bedrooms, a lovely kitchen/dining area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a large living room with amazing views across to Portree. The cottage is perfectly situated with a short drive to all tourist attractions on the isle. Unfortunately the weather was against us for the first few days of our holiday which restricted us, particularly with the baby. although we were only a short drive from Portree, we were unable to walk along the main road as there were no footpaths. Apart from this small detail, we could not have been happier with our stay at Heatherfield, it was just like a home from home...with the most beautiful views. We will most definitely be back to Heatherfield with the family.

“Shhh!” I don't really want to do this review as it may encourage too many people to visit this wonderful house. I've been coming to Crail since the 1960's first as a wee boy and gradually with my wife and now my own children. We love this place so much we've been twice this year! From the moment you step through the door, you feel you've arrived home. It is wonderfully equipped with almost everything one might want provided for you and to a very high standard. Very comfortable and relaxing, the only thing missing is more time.
