“Perfect in every way! Even our cat had a ball!” Sandytoes cabin is a cosy, comfortable and welcoming home from home located in Sandyhills Holiday Village. The beach is minutes away and it is perfectly situated for trips to lots of different towns and attractions. Castle Douglas has lots of independent retailers and places to eat! Dumfries is great for shopping. Holly, the owner , is so kind and helpful! We brought our cat with us and Holly left a pack of Dreamies for her. Lovely little touches all round the cabin, which is beautiful! Everything you could possibly want or need in a holiday home is there. The badgers are so entertaining too! We loved our "badgerwatch" every night! They love croissants and peanut butter , by the way! This was the perfect break for our wee family with very comfortable accommodation. Loved it so much we booked to come back in 3 weeks time! Thanks, Holly!

“Well-Appointed Cottage in a Fantastic Location” We visited the cottage during the late August Bank Holiday. It was our first trip away post-Covid and much needed. The cottage is spacious and has every home comfort you would wish for, including wi-fi that works perfectly. What really sets this cottage apart though, is its location. It is in the midst of beautiful countryside, and has views over rolling hills to the Cuillin. It is ideally situated in the middle of the island to be a centre for touring and the drive around the Trotternish peninsular is amazing – one highlight was the Flora Macdonald memorial in a beautiful setting. Nevertheless the restaurants of Portree are just a four-mile drive away. We will return.

“Cracking place to relax” Family connections take us to North Uist, the Loch Portain manse is in a great position, with amazing views, which can be enjoyed from a fab & comfy living room. Everything else in the house does the job needed.

“Delightful” This is a marvellous place to stay, very 'high spec', spacious, private and with wonderful views. The lodge is beautifully furnished and is well placed to visit many of the interesting and beautiful treats on the island. Paul and Fiona are delightful owners and ready to help in any way.

“10/10 fab stay” Comfortable, clean & cosy accommodation. Provided with essentials and more, accommodation is close to lots of tourist attractions and places to see and is also near local shops and towns such as Stromness. Had an amazing stay , fell in love with Orkney and will definitely visit again. I would highly recommend this property to others.

“Beautiful Spacious House” Beautiful comfortable home. Even though it was in an estate, it was set back from the other houses, hidden amongst trees. This gave it more privacy. The house was well equipped, with plenty of room for the four children to play. The kitchen/dining room was lovely and spacious as was the main lounge. The house was in easy reach of Aviemore by car, as we had small children with us, we did not attempt to walk, as it looked quite far by foot. Our only complaint would be a lack of toilet roll. There was only about 1/4 roll in each bathroom and no spares, so we had to run out and buy some more. We all had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again.

“Wonderful Loch side view” We spent four days in this lovely upside down house! The views of the Loch are amazing - even more so when you get to eat breakfast on the balcony overlooking the loch in October! Close to local amenities, restaurants and hotel and coffee shops. A visit to the Crannog centre is a must and loads of castles to visit!

“Armoury Annex” We had a lovely stay at the armoury Annex which was quite, comfortable and very well equipped. Gill, the owner, was very helpful and keen to ensure everything was in order, which it was. Highly recommended.

“Amazing house, pity about the ants!” Amazing house to stay in but unfortunately it was spoiled slightly with the ants in the kitchen! Turned cooker on and they were everywhere! We were celebrating a special anniversary meal and had to deal with ants, not ideal. The owner did say they had dealt with them but obviously not fully. Apart from that the house is amazing with beautiful views from two of the bedrooms. Garden lovely but not child friendly. We did enjoy our stay.

“Wow” Fantastic well equipped cottage in a great position. Views are amazing. It's been 11years since we were here last it won't be that e till we're back. Only disappointment was the fact that electricity was not included in the rental, would be good idea to inform in advance.

“Very comfortable house for two people.” This is a house nestling in the heart of a back-in-time tiny village (Drumbuie) on the west coast of Scotland. The interior design is excellent and has everything you could wish for including a wood-burner. There are great walks to be done, some of which are along the coast. Plockton has a wonderful pub serving excellent food.

“Comfortable Cottage in quiet area of Callander” We have visited Callander many times on the way to the highlands, but haven't stayed for any length of time, We decided to stay this year and explore the Trossachs. Callander has a lot more to offer that we realised from our short stop-off visits. Good shops, excellent cafes and pubs, and take-away places. We also had more chance to explore the town. There is an excellent History Trail around the town, and a lovely walk along a disused railway line, out into the countryside. Andreu Cottage is of a very high standard of comfort and cleanliness. The kitchen is very well supplied with all equipment which could possibly be needed. The main bedroom has a king size bed which is very comfortable. There are two bathrooms. Great for a family or two couples sharing the property. An additional 'bonus' is the friendly and helpful neighbours at No3. Full of local knowledge and very welcoming. Only issue which might be of importance to some visitors is the lack of parking space next to the property. We were fine, we could park on the next road and walk through but anyone with any mobility problems might find it a difficulty. We would highly recommend this property for families or couples.
