“Class in a Glass” Just back after a 5 night stay at this beautiful holiday home. Owner had thought of everything that a holidaymaker might need - even down to buckets and spades for the kids. Loved the location - just open door and a short walk and you are down at this lovely village. Another good thing about this house is that the garden was on 3 levels which meant that when the sun had left ground level we just moved up to the table and chairs at the top of the garden where it was a sun trap. Cannot recommend this house enough and as we all had such a good time we will certainly be back. Thank you Steven.

“Fantastic house and location!” Loved our stay in the Jesmond house in Elie. Very spacious for our household with plenty of room to spread out. Location was absolutely perfect - a short stroll to the beach and shops. Will definitely be back !

“Weekend stay for a friends wedding” After a 7 and an half hour drive from Hertfordshire, the Hayloft Cottage was a very welcoming sight. Peter and Anne (the owners) could have not been more accommodating, as we arrived a little later than expected, as we got lost, but due to a vey kind local taxi driver, who offered to follow him to Spoutwells Holiday Cottages, we were very pleased to have arrived. The Cottage was beautiful, clean and well maintained and we would definitely recommend and stay here again. Whilst at the wedding, people asked where we were staying and when we told them Spoutwells Holiday Cottages, they were all vey impressed as the whole of Stranraer, by the sounds of it, have a nothing but a good word to say about it. “Great break in great location” House is in a little Cul-de-sac with other mostly holiday homes, it backs on to woodland which is great for Dog walks. Located on the edge of the Town, it's quiet yet close to amenities. It has room for 2-3 cars in the drive. It's a great location for exploring the cairngorms and Lock Ness. We did a Day trip to John o'groats despite it being quite a drive and blowing a gale We got a pleasant surprise when in the yard one evening, the motion detected light went out and we were greeted with a spectacular night Sky, we got to see the Milky Way which is extremely rare in the UK due to light pollution in most areas. Here, despite the streetlights, the Sky was very dark - just a shame we couldn't arrange the Northern lights too.

“Beautiful location” This cottage is in a stunning location with beautiful views. It was well equipped with everything we needed. It was lovely and clean on arrival and the bedding smelt so fresh! It was very handy having the small shop/filling station across the road. There was also a nice walk next to the cottage to take our dog for an evening stroll. Donalda, the cottage owner was friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Perfect house in a perfect location” We stayed comfortably at Yellow door and definitely hope we get the chance to stay again. A cute little cottage with bags of character and beautifully presented in what can only be described as the friendliest safest place on earth!! We were there for the Tattoo (which was brilliant) and this cottage had everything we needed and more to be close to the UKFM majorettes who we were supporting. If we hadn't had to chase the coach home we would have stayed the week as despite the running around - coming back to yellow door was a home from home and helped us relax instantly. Wonderful communication and welcome from Neil and Patricia and an added bonus - they provided towels which most rentals don't! Thank you so much for such a great stay x

“Fantastic house” Just spent a week here. To say the house is fantastic is an understatement. We were the first family in since lockdown eased and it had everything we needed and more to stay safe. The house itself was welcoming, warm and large enough for our whole family. We had a gorgeous welcome with bread, milk, fresh butter and shortbread waiting for us on our arrival. With an Xbox, PlayStation, Alexa and sky the kids were more than entertained in an evening and with views over the harbour and gorgeous woodland walks on our door step we were spoilt and we really did have a fabulous break. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone and will definitely be coming back.
