“Recroy: almost paradise?” We arrived in the dark so the sight of Deer and badgers in our headlights was a wonderful sign. The cottage is very secluded, has marvellous views and is very cosy. For the birders amongst you, the variety of birds viewed from the cottage was wonderful including Redpoll, Siskins and Buzzards. The garden was perfect for a lively two year old and the whole area was wonderful for his grandparents. You have to like the wide open spaces to like Recroy but we do and for us it was perfection!

“Excellent lodge, great hospitality!” The accommodation was excellently presented and extremely clean. 5 mins from Gleneagles golf resort. All the beds were really comfortable and the whole setting was extremely relaxing. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans etc & even left some basic essentials for use such as tea & milk. Even some wonderful Easter eggs much enjoyed by my little girl and perhaps some older "children" too. Thanks very much for helping our weekend be so enjoyable! Highly recommended

“Beautiful, friendly and welcoming” The cottage is situated in a very scenic area, surrounded by beautiful views. The owner, Maggie and her daughter were very welcoming on arrival and an absolute joy to meet. The cottage was equipped with everything you would need and was an exceptional place to stay. It was extremely comfortable and provided Wi Fi, which made our 17 year old son very happy. Maggie very kindly provided us with a basket of a few essentials on arrival, which was a lovely touch. We were only there for two nights but wish it was for longer. We will definitely be returning again.

“The Retreat on Paradise Lane” Stayed here as working in Elgin and it proved to be a great choice. The house is clean, warm and quiet. The wifi works easily and the shower is great. The bed is so comfy I slept for 9 hours each night! There is a parking space at the front of the house off the road. The beach is not far away and is great to run or walk along stretching 2 and a half miles to the west. Morag is close by and very helpful. The dishwasher, washing machine and cooker all work well although if you are looking to eat out there are options close by too.

“Fantastic apartment with charming helpful hosts” This is our second time staying in the Old Surgery and we love this charming spotlessly clean well equipped apartment . The beds were extremely comfortable and there were lots of little touches to make use feel welcome.The apartment is in a great location within walking distance to everything including bars and restaurants. I left some of my personal items within the apartment and when I contacted the owners Trish and Bruce they very kindly posted my belongs back to me. Thank you so much.

“GREAT PET FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATION” Just like to say what a lovely cottage the added Christmas decorations made it feel just like home (wish it was our home). The Wood Burner was great and we could not believe how hot the radiator in the bedroom was it was so cosy.Loved the sofa and all the furnishings it was just as we would have picked, it was nice to have proper hangers in the wardrobe and not the plastic ones you usually find in holiday lets. Our only complaint would be the fridge it was a bit small and there was no freezer, ditch the dishwasher and put in a small freezer instead. Our dogs loved lying in front of the fire and running around in the garden however because of the weather they did not get to enjoy it enough if only it had snowed it would have been perfect. Thanks for the the milk and biscuits it really was appreciated. We hope to be back soon.

“Perfect house in a perfect location” We stayed comfortably at Yellow door and definitely hope we get the chance to stay again. A cute little cottage with bags of character and beautifully presented in what can only be described as the friendliest safest place on earth!! We were there for the Tattoo (which was brilliant) and this cottage had everything we needed and more to be close to the UKFM majorettes who we were supporting. If we hadn't had to chase the coach home we would have stayed the week as despite the running around - coming back to yellow door was a home from home and helped us relax instantly. Wonderful communication and welcome from Neil and Patricia and an added bonus - they provided towels which most rentals don't! Thank you so much for such a great stay x

“Fantastic house” Just spent a week here. To say the house is fantastic is an understatement. We were the first family in since lockdown eased and it had everything we needed and more to stay safe. The house itself was welcoming, warm and large enough for our whole family. We had a gorgeous welcome with bread, milk, fresh butter and shortbread waiting for us on our arrival. With an Xbox, PlayStation, Alexa and sky the kids were more than entertained in an evening and with views over the harbour and gorgeous woodland walks on our door step we were spoilt and we really did have a fabulous break. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone and will definitely be coming back.

“Fantastic property, fantastic location, fantastic locals!” We stayed in the property for 6 weeks as we were working on South Uist. The property is first class and gave us everything we needed. The location is stunning and we were made to feel extremely welcome by everyone we met on Eriskay, particularly in the AM Politician; which I cannot recommend enough also! We will back in the New Year for sure!

“Great House close to town” This is an ideally situated house, close to the town centre in a quiet neighbourhood. It is about 10 mins brisk walk to the edge of town - our son is at the University and to those that know you can get to Regs in about 10mins. It is clean, tidy and the beds are comfortable. We will use it again.
