“Family holiday” 3 Generations of my family had a most delightful holiday at the Old Vicarage in Looe. The house was spacious, very clean and charming. The beach was 1 minutes walk away and many top quality restaurants within 5 minutes walk. It is very unusual to find a top quality house in such a perfect location.

“Lovely cottage on the Cornish coast” Lovely location. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the beach or along the southwest coast path without getting the car out. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Lovely area.

“Fab views, lovely apartment, friendly owners!!” From the minute we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown around. There was a hamper of a few bits to keep us going until we got to the shop which was handy especially for the cup of tea after the long drive. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and bright. The views of the gardens are beautiful. David and his wife were very helpful and also very kind. Our non stop talking daughter who took a shine to them was allowed to help with gardening and came back with some intresting facts so thank you for keeping her occupied whilst we sorted the baby out! We would 100% recommend. The only bad part was home time the week flew!

“Fabulous accommodation!” Just wow, the views from this accommodation is just truly stunning. We all had such a lovely stay. The smoke alarm ran out of battery and was bleeping one morning, we advised Rod and he was round to sort it within 10 minutes, amazing service. Walk to the town was via the roads due to having a pushchair but it only took around 10 minutes. The walk up is a killer but worth it for the amazing views! We will definitely be back. Thank you Rod & Beata.

“Outstanding” Just got back from a long weekend at the Hayloft and felt compelled to write this review. From the moment you arrive you are made to fell welcome by Caroline and James and they have a truly fantastic property in the Hayloft. Everything is absolutely spotlessly clean and well cared for. No worries about the weather as underfloor heating, radiators and a log burner will keep the cold at bay. The ensuite bedrooms were huge and comfortable. everything you could imagine and more was supplied and all looked brand new. So many places to visit locally and afar so you can never feel bored and all the locals are so friendly. I will be taking more of my Family there in the not too distant future.

“Comfortable, clean cottage full of character in a wonderful part of Cornwall.” Our family of five had a fantastic holiday at Smuggler Cottage. The cottage itself was wonderful - comfy beds and sofas. Everything was nice and clean. We also appreciated the smaller details - plenty of towels, a supply of tea and milk. As usual, Looe was fantastic - the weather that week was better than back home in San Francisco. We went on a walk every day, my sons spent hours swimming and playing basketball at the hoop next to the beach, my husband enjoyed his pints of Doombar, and my daughter pretty much ate her way through all the bakeries and ice cream shops in town. We loved Looe when kids were young and we still enjoy our visits now that they are teenagers. Can't wait to return!

“Comfortable Macalby Cottage” Macalby Cottage is a lovely, comfortable cottage in a perfect location. Harlyn Bay is just 2 minuets walk from the cottage and is a beautiful beach. There are amazing cliff walks easily accessed from the beach. Padstow is a short drive with wonderful restaurants, pubs and shops. The cottage has everything you need and more - we loved our stay.

“Great location...” A well equipped and well located bungalow. The sea was a 10 minute walk downhill (longer coming back!) and there were two great pubs close by, both of which served good food. The weather was mixed during our stay but the conservatory meant we could feel like we were outdoors, whilst being sheltered from the weather indoors. In any case, the bungalow was comfortable for spending time indoors and the views from the back were great. We felt very at home from the minute we arrived and the week passed all too quickly.

“Our Holiday house In Cornwall.” We love this house. We have visited 4 times now with the same crew of 8 family and 2 dogs The position is fantastic just up the road from Watergate Bay, where the dogs can roam freely on the beach and the Cornish Weather can blow all your cares away. Then return home to a lovely cosy and warm house for a great brunch before braving the surf later in the day. The bedroom layouts are great for families and The Living room has loads of comfy sofas and still plenty of room for evening family fun. When ever friends ask where we are going on holiday we say " to our holiday house in Cornwall" The owner Justin is very welcoming and helps to get the best out of your holiday. Highly recommended.

“The most fantastic holiday location possible” We stayed in a few different places in Cornwall before we found Portscatho, but since we did we have never gone anywhere else. Portscatho itself is a small village, very peaceful (the road into the village doesn't go anywhere so traffic is minimal) with a pub, a well-stocked shop, a cafe and a few small art galleries/shops. It has a great beach, with another even better beach a short walk along the cliff path. Falmouth, St Mawes and St Austell (for the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan) are all easily accessible by car. Lapwing's main attraction is the incredible view that you get from the living room, the balcony and the master bedroom of the harbour and the coast stretching away in the distance. There are also other great beaches nearby, some accessible only from the cliff path. Because the village (and the beach) is so safe our children are able to have an enormous degree of freedom to roam. Because the beach is so close you can drop down for a swim, a sand castle build or a picnic without it being a huge stressful outing. The house itself is very comfortable with all the amenities you would expect from a holiday house, including two showers which is fantastic after a day on the beacj. I cannot recommend Lapwing highly enough. In the visitors book there are messages from people who have been staying there for twenty or thirty years, which I think says it all, really.

“Very comfortable and well equipped with outstanding views across the bay.” Had a really great mid week break, in this deceptively spacious and modern house. The standard of the rooms, kitchen, bathrooms was excellent and the view from the balcony adjacent to the dining area was stunning. Would definitely stay there again as it works extremely well for all sorts of groups ie friends, family groups etc. Porthscatho is very unspoilt too with great amenities, including a lovely beach cafe. Highly recommended.

“Home from home” My wife and I spent the whole of January in this delightful cottage, which proved to be everything we had expected. The cottage is extremely well equipped and the underfloor heating made our stay so comfortable. We never had any need to resort to the wood burner, as the underfloor heating made the cottage seem like it was situated in Mediterranean climes. The only downside we already knew about prior to booking, namely the absence of a washing machine, which would have been better for us than the installed dishwasher. Having said that I can understand that for most people, who would probably only be staying one week or two maximum, the dishwasher would be the preferred option. The wi-fi included in the price was very welcome, as we were to be away from family and friends for 4 weeks. We even managed to find and book tickets online for the Rebel Cinema, situated only a few miles from the cottage "en pleine campagne", and which proved to be a little gem. The cottage is next door to the Post Office in Higher Crackington, which is very useful indeed. We had a lovely month in Crackington Haven and will be returning next year,
