“Fabulous, well-equipped accommodation with lovely views.” Accommodation was clean, warm and well-equipped with lots of additional extras. Really enjoyed the walks along Whitsand Bay Beach and having breakfast in the Cliff Top Café. Local area is great with easy access to lots of Cornwall attractions and gorgeous fishing towns. Pool and games area could definitely do with some updating and love but was enjoyed by my children none the less. Staff at site where lovely, very friendly and helpful. Food in 'The Vault' was really good. Hoping to return again!
“A hidden "gem!!"” A truly wonderful base for exploring this tiny corner of Cornwall. So much to see and do and a walkers paradise! Woodpark Stables is perfect for a small family but even more perfect for two!! The accommodation is cleverly laid out and wants for nothing There are amazing. river views and a sheltered courtyard that is both totally private and a sun trap!
We were afforded our total freedom by the owner, who having showed us around, left us to enjoy a cream tea - an added bonus.
We can't wait to return!!
My husband and I booked a five night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my only complaint is that I wish we could have stayed for longer.
As soon as we rounded the bend onto the road running around the edge of the inlet and caught sight of the cottage in the distance we knew we were in for a good holiday. The cottage is situated on the water front with spectacular views out across the water. The exterior of the cottage and private courtyard is attractive, rustic and well kept. We spent a lot of time sitting at the table in the courtyard with drinks and although Beverley's house is situated immediately behind the courtyard we felt that we had more than enough privacy. The interior of the cottage is spotlessley clean, well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a self catering holiday. There are pleasant little touches around the cottage such as the shell and stone arrangements in the windowsills, blankets etc. The cream tea, milk, pastries and fresh flowers made for a lovely welcome. There is a visitor book and basket of leaflets and local area books which provide information on the area and places of interest for visitors. We used these resources to find places of interest to us in addition to our own explorations.
I would recommend walking from he cottage to Mt Edgcumbe House (a bit of an uphill trek along country roads but worth it once you arrive) then taking the Cremyll Ferry over to Plymouth. We took the ferry to the Barbican and explored Plymouth Hoe. Cawsand and Kingsand are also easily accessible from the cottage and have lovely little beaches. The Halfway House pub in Kingsand was good. Further afield a great place to explore was Minions for a walk up to the Hurlers stone circles on the moor (and an obligatory picture with the comically adapted village name post with pictures of the little yellow Minions we all know and love!)
Every evening we took a walk along the riverside (turning right out of the cottage gate) to a little mooring station for paddle boats to watch the sunset and capture some amazing sunset pictures. We made sure we had one day where we stayed based at the cottage to just enjoy it and the area surrounding it. We spent time watching birds out over the water.
Beverley was a fantastic and accommodating host and was lovely to talk to. She made us feel very welcome whilst respecting our privacy too. I would 100% recommend staying if you enjoy peace and tranquility. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks to Beverley and her husband for making our stay wonderful.

Cliffside , Whitsand Bay #
Excellent weekend away
We stayed at Cliffside for three nights, Bill welcomed us and showed us around. Cliffside is very well appointed with a lovely bedroom and bathroom, as well as a very well equipped kitchen and that fantastic view from the lounge!
Fantastic location and a wonderful weekend away …
Windwhistle Chalet Whitsand Bay
Wonderful couple of days.
Wind whistle chalet is a lovely place to get away from it all. The views take your breath away. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and enjoyed the decking and loungers. The chalet has everything you could need for a home from home experience. The only word of warning would be the path down to the chalet might be challenging for very young or elderly people. But for us it was a wonderful break in a fabulous part of the world. Thanks …
Clifftop lodge with parking at Whitsand Bay Fort

Luxury Lodge 28 Whitsand Bay Fort
A stormy but cosy stay with gorgeous views
We booked a weekend break to visit family who live nearby, and although the weather was stormy the lodge had everything we needed.
It was cosy, warm (once we found how to turn the electric on) and the perfect location for us with stunning views.
Nick emailed us with details required and we had no issues at all during our stay.
Our children watched a dvd whilst we stayed which we found at the lodge, along with plenty of books for all ages.
Although we didn’t explore the area due to the weather we did use the pool which was warm and big enough for all to enjoy.
If using the pool its good to know they have a shared changing room (men & women) if you can and it’s not busy use the shower cubical to change for privacy.
The beds are comfy and the lodge is warm, what more could you want in the autumn months.
Thank you for having us. …
