“Fabulous stay in a stunning part of Wales” Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We stayed as a family of five and there was plenty of space, beautifully clean and fresh whilst also being very cosy. Mike and Gretta were so friendly and helpful with lots of suggestions for things to do. We’d have been happy just in the immediate area but the surroundings are so beautiful too - with the estuary just over the hill and plenty of mountains and beaches to explore. We didn’t have enough time and will definitely be visiting again.

“Comfortable base to explore area” Our accommodation was comfortable and well equipped, and offered beautiful virws of the mountains. The pool table and table tennis table were welcomed by our teenaged children. The information about places of interest in the surrounding area was handy, and the accommodation is a short drive from many scenic areas.. The booking process was easy and Sally (owner) was quick in responding to any questions that we had before the trip. She even located a misplaced item after our visit (before we had even noticed that the item had been left behind!). Thank you for making our visit to such a beautiful part of the country so enjoyable!

“Weather horrendous but the cottage more than made up for the hea” Evreything we got to directions and instructions what to do and see were excellent and the cottage was very cosy and the wet weather made it a very welcome home feel and we settled very quickly. The location was superb and very easy to get to other attractions and local shops near by for the basics was really good. The cottage was the best fitted out kitchen with evrey utensil you could wish for we have ever stayed in and the rooms were very cosy and clean. On our stay we even met the owners who were staying next door but one and they were a great couple and nmade us feel very welcome indeed.

“A magical place” The cottage was gorgeous & is in a truely beautiful setting. Everything you could need & more is provided & the owners were there to meet me despite it being dark & thrashing down with rain! I was more than surprised by how clean the cottage was & despite going on my own with just my dog I felt very safe throughout my stay. The owners didn't keep popping in on me although I knew they were nearby if I did need anything. A really lovely holiday which I plan to repeat, thank you!

“A wonderful place to escape the rat race.” Although the property was a little off the beaten track, it more than made up for it. The accommodatiion was ideal with every mod con provided. If the weather had been a little kinder we would have made full use of the outside facility to sit and look at the views across to Angelsey and enjoy a nice glass of wine, however it was an ideal place for easy access to the surrounding countryside and a cottage we would recommend to anyone to visit.

“wondrefull and peacefull” This is a wonderfull and very peacefull location. We enjoyed our week there as a base to explore North Wales, there is to much to see in 1 week. I drove over 800 miles to see some of the wondrefull sights. The Cottage was very adequate for our needs, although it was 30c and beautifully sunshine during the day !! But it was very cold inside at night !!(Solid Slate walls) There are lot of heaters in the cottage, and we had to use some of them. (soft southerners) Some of the cottage needs to be updated. But it is very good value, and we loved it. Thank you for a wonderfull stay.

Wales holidays

Epic mountains, rousing choirs, stunning scenery and a lyrical language; Wales may be small, but its landscape and culture is mighty. Expect a warm ‘croeso’ (welcome) as bright and cheery as a daffodil and rugby-pitch loads of fun when you visit this extraordinary country.

Mountain Adventures

Is that mist rising from the hills or Welsh dragon smoke? For views that will make you catch your breath, ascend the stunningly beautiful Snowdon surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park. If you’re feeling too tired to clamber back down, why not hop aboard the mountain railway? Speaking of railways, one of the best ways to see the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons is from the comfort of a steam train carriage. If that sounds too easy, how about having a go at horse riding near Pen y Fan? Other must-see mountains include the Tryfan in Snowdonia and the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire.

City Sights

Wales’ capital Cardiff is jam-packed with things to see and do. If you’re a rugby fan, be sure to check out the iconic Millennium Stadium that’s been hosting major events since 1999. Cardiff Bay is the perfect place to spend an afternoon and, if you’re a Doctor Who enthusiast, you’ll find the Doctor Who Experience here, too.

Coast To Coast

If you like to be beside the seaside and still be close to the buzz of the city, you can have your Welsh cake and eat it in Swansea. For beautiful bays and wonderful walks, head to the Gower Peninsula and for literary types, the Dylan Thomas Birth Place is sure to impress. To see Britain’s smallest city, travel west to St David’s in Pembrokeshire. Its stunning cathedral, independent shops and glorious coast will have you coming back year after year. Tempted? Choose from hundreds of cottages and log cabins in Wales.

Fantastic accommodation

The accommodation catered for the needs of our family holiday. 5 of us staying plus dog. Everything we needed in the house, property clean and tidy, can’t fault it. Lovely views even during our wet week!! We will definitely be back for another stay. Any questions were received with a swift response from Alan before our stay. We did’t need to contact Alan during our stay as no issues occurred. Would recommend this house to others.see more

Perfect short break.

Just had a glorious short break here. Carol was brilliant and waited to greet us as we were an hour late arriving due to traffic. She showed us round and made us feel right at home. Have stayed in many cottages but this was the most well equipped of them all. Everything had been thought of and more. Can’t wait to be able to book again.see more

Ty Isaf-Mountain Views

Had a great week staying at Alan’s cottage with a nice welcome from him. The cottage had everything we needed as well as the extra of terraces and garden to explore with a wonderful view. The location is ideal to carry out local walks in any direction and it does not take long to get to height in the close by mountains. We hope to return again in the future.see more
