“Truly a dream” Beautiful view of the sea as you drive down the hill. Park up and walk up a steep path to the Hut.. its amazing views are worth the short walk.
Inside is perfect. Cozy. Warm. Couldn't of asked for any thing else.
Will certainly be back
“A relaxing retreat” We booked this holiday home as a last minute treat and it really does feel like a home as you are made to feel so welcome. All the effort that Beth went into ensuring our stay was perfect was amazing and meant a lot. We all had a fabulous time, getting wet outdoors and then relaxing in the hot tub - bliss!! We spent lots of time in Betwys-y-coed - the cafes and restaurants were dog friendly and Swallow Falls was amazing at this time of year. This cottage is very well equipped and perfectly situated. We can't wait to return! Beth - thank you for going to so much effort to ensure our stay our your beautiful cottage was perfect.
“Summer vacation in beautiful surroundings” Visited Freshwater East for a week and wish we had stayed longer! Lovely, cosy chalet just right for our little family of four. It had everything we needed and very comfortable considering we had a 3 month old baby. The beach is just walking distance and the Longhouse shop/ restaurant was handy for getting a few bits and bobs. If doing a proper food shopping best to head to Pembroke Docks where there's a Tesco and all other shops. All in all, we had a lovely stay and would come back again.
“Great short stay” The chalet is great for a short break. We took our small dog and there were no problems. There were all items you would generally need in the kitchen - only minus a microwave which wasn’t a big deal. The site was well kept and quiet. We would stay again.
“Superb weekend away” Beautiful accommodation perfect for a family stay we went straight from work and arrived dumped our bags and went for tea in the poolside bar lovely reasonably priced food and drink followed by a night of bingo. The chalet catered for all our needs clean tidy and the little touches that make a nice break hotel style toiletries, tea sugar washing up liquid. We loved our stay and have recommended it to family and friends thanks Alison for the chat before we left and sorry for taking your weekend
“Beautiful log cabin in the woods with great views!” Stay was great! Lovely place and was very happy that the owner came out in the snow to bring us more wood for the log burner. It's a beautiful place, very relaxing and near to aberdovey.
“Hidden Gem!” We were looking for somewhere to completely “get away from it all” and we certainly found it in this magical place Funchal.
It is a hidden gem tucked away at the end of a lane in the heart of the Gower.
The accommodation is compact, clean and comfortable, there is a log burner for those chilly nights even beach towels and a lovely Welcome Box with welsh cakes on arrival. It had everything that we needed
There is plenty of outside space for children to play safely and there is a balcony at the rear of the property which we used most days to eat out on and enjoy the view, whilst to the front a veranda with even more seating, we found this very useful when coming back from our walks.
Liz and Chris were very helpful throughout the booking process and we found the cottage easily.
Being able to park the car directly outside the gate was a real bonus when offloading the bags, in fact this is where it stayed for most of the time we were at Funchal as the waking is excellent and the coastline and beaches are superb.
You can easily reach what has got to be one the most beautiful views of a beach by walking along from the cottage and out past the castle to Three Cliffs Bay.
We would definitely return here as there is so much to do and see and if the weather is good it really is a welsh paradise.
“What a fantastic location.” The location is amazing. This is great base for family. There is a lovely walk into town over a suspension bridge! would recommend this lodge to anyone, peaceful and quiet with lots of wildlife. We'll visit again!
“Excellent accommodation, I strongly recommend!” I booked this Chalet for 2 nights and 3 days. It was very clean and tidy when we reached and everything was set and ready to use on our arrival. Bedroom, Hall, Kitchen and Bathroom were very spacious and well maintained.
Only problem I have faced was I had to insert 1GBP coin to reset the electricity meter to start using it, which was bit annoying and never seen before. If in case I don't have coins then I don't know what should I do next to switch on the lights. (May be I have to drive for another 15 mins to Aberdovey to get some change, if I am lucky enough that shops are open)
Overall, very nice location and well maintained chalet to stay. Thanks very much for making our stay most beautiful and pleasant.
“very enjoyable stay” folly farm fantastic value for money.
Granddaughter who's 3 is obsessed with dinosaurs so we took her to the dinosaur experience twice once you have been if you get your receipt stamped you can go back for £5.00 each. Although my Granddaughter really enjoyed going I thought it was a bit pricey for her age. the beach at freshwater east is really lovely. we also went to the wildlife park not a lot there really considering its wildlife.
We only ate out 3 times i would recommend fish and chips in saundersfoot best fish and chips we have ever had, avoid the pub virtually just of car park if you are english and want to get served as we kept getting by passed in the end we walked out. went to somewhere a bit further on and what a difference staff were lovely sorry cant remember the name,
Also went to the freshwater inn beautiful views as it was a nice night we sat outside to eat staff were very welcoming and pleasant.
“Peaceful family break” A wonderful place to stay for a peaceful break from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. The chalet is equipped with everything we needed and we particularly enjoyed the fire pit area - food always tastes so much better when it's been cooked over a proper fire! The beds were comfortable (if a little creaky), and the whole chalet was very clean and neat.
The views are amazing and the location is perfect for exploring Snowdonia whilst being lovely and quiet - the peace was shattered only (temporarily) by the RAF jets which provided a spectacular display! Our dog was VERY happy! He had plenty of room to run around made friends immediately with Thorn!
We would definitely recommend Chaley Ty Cerrig for a peaceful, family and dog-friendly holiday in view of the mountains of North Wales. Thank you Richard for sharing such a lovely place with us for a week - we hope to return soon.
