“Another Excellent Stay at Hen Gamdda Fawr Holiday Cottage!” This was the 2nd visit to this lovely and homely cottage in less than 12 months. Yet again it proved to be yet another well worth stay in this well kept cottage, but this time we made full us of the lovely multi-fuel stove in the living room. The fire really made the place really cosy and we managed to keep it going for the 4 nights we were there for. Yet again the cottage was immaculate when we arrived with milk in the fridge and some lovely scones. The weather was again very kind to us and we did have heavy frost, but this just made the cottage feel even better. We have already recommended Hen Gamdda Fawr to friends and work colleagues! Its a great place to stay which is quiet and slightly off the beaten track but this is what makes it special. We 'll be back soon!! Well done Helen for such a lovely holiday cottage and keep up the good work!!

“A very relaxing stay” The bungalow was very clean, comfortable , everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Lovely garden with sea views. It was really close to beach, and we used local shops, butchers, bakers chemist and convenience store. The village also has a library several cafes and restaurants, we had several meals at The Harbour Hotel which were very good. All in all a great holiday. Thank you.

“Lovely clean, and well fitted out bungalow, ideal for family holiday” We had a short (4 day) stay at this bungalow and were very impressed with all it had to offer. 3 nice bedrooms, ideal for us, our daughter and husband and 2 grandsons - not forgetting the dog. Allowing a dog is a massive bonus in our eyes. It was well provided for and we found it very comfortable and ideally situated for the eastern side of Angelsey - not that it's too far to travel all over. A handily located fish and chip shop 2 minutes walk away (very good too) and a couple of nice pubs and eating places nearby. Would recommend and consider going there again if we wanted to be in that area.

“Beautiful views” We stayed at Pilots Cottage with 4 adults and 2 children. All of the group thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The cottage is lovely, very spacious and clean with beautiful views out across the harbour from the kitchen and the outside decking area. The location is good, there are 2 pubs and a fish and chip shop very close to the house and the local village centre, which has several shops, takeaways and pubs is a 2 min drive or a less than 10 min walk. The highlight for me was the views from the house!

“A Lovely Base for a Lllandudno Holiday” Situated 5 minutes’ from Llandudno (by car) this charming cottage sleeps six people. I stayed here with my husband and two teenage daughters. On arrival the cottage was as clean as a new pin and very well-equipped. it is cosy yet stylishly decorated throughout, with artwork depicting beaches and sunsets on the walls, which give it a restful vibe and a reminder that you are at the seaside. Additional touches such as fresh flowers, candles and scatter cushions on the beds made it all the more welcoming. The kitchen was particularly impressive. I am so used to kitchens in holiday homes where you are lucky to even find a tin opener, but we found everything we needed here and I enjoyed preparing meals here. The beds were all comfy and we slept soundly. The leather sofas in the living room were also much appreciated when we were watching TV as we had the space to spread out a bit. Although ideal for us, I would not recommend Hengoed for guests with mobility problems, due to the rather steep steps leading to the door of the property. These could be even more hazardous in slippery, wet conditions. A decked balcony area at the front provides garden furniture and sun loungers, which is lovely on sunny days. It also looks attractive at night when the solar lights come on. A folder of places of interest in the area was provided at the cottage, which we found helpful to refer to. Wi-Fi at the cottage came in useful and the washing machine and drying area was a godsend after our gorge scrambling trip when we came back with wet clothes. Mobile phone reception was not great, though. I very much hope to stay at Hengoed again.

“Brilliant weekend” Myself, my partner and our two friends enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the Pant. The pictures do not do justice how beautiful of a house it is. Andrew, the owner, couldn't be more helpful and his directions, recommendations and instructions were second to none. Every spec of the Pant is luxury and we will most definitely be returning.

“lovely relaxing get away by the sea” we were so delighted with our stay here, the house is stunning, modern, comfatable and in a lovely peaceful location. the balcony overlooking the beach was perfect, we all enjoyed sitting and admiring the view until the sun went down, even our dog spent all his time people watching......there are plenty of little cafes and places to eat close by, we enjoyed an indian takeaway one evening, and Dylans resturant opposite is a must. There are plenty of places to visit in the area but our purpose for our holiday was to relax and unwind, which is exactly what we did, walks on the beach, nice food. and luxury accomodation, perfect for us. We highly recommend this holiday rental, it was perfect.

“Little piece of heaven” This place is amazing. The hot tub was just divine and we were so lucky with the weather cause when your in the tub at night you see nothing but the stars !!! So piece full and relaxing. The owners have thought of everything. The little town of Dolgellau was about a 5 minute drive with the a large Eurospar and the pubs. Try the fish and chippy....amazing but the opening times are pretty short. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get away from city life for a few days. Wifi is good but you can struggle getting signal to make calls with mobiles but we didn't go here to connect to the world, we wanted to get away from it!!!! Heaven !

“Splendid and comfortable base with lots to do.” Snowdon Cottage provides a very comfortable and well-equipped base for exploring Llanberis and Snowdonia. There's plenty to do locally even in poor weather and a good bus service so a car isn't essential. The cottage was warm, the beds (and views from the bedrooms) great and we had a brilliant weekend

“Stunning!!” We are a family of 7 including a 3 year old & a dog. We visited Borth Esgob from 22nd - 29th of December to celebrate Christmas. The house was absolutely stunning & had the most beautiful views of the beach & coastline from every window. Our dog particularly enjoyed her 2 daily walks on the white sandy beach which was yards away from the property. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could think of including lots of glasses, large glasses for wine ( always welcome!!) Cutlery, mugs, dinner sets, coffee machine ( pods) various sized coffee bodums, tea pots, cook ware, etc, etc. The American style fridge freezer was very useful for large families. The utility room housed a washing machine & a dryer which was helpful when you have a 3 year old with you. The 4 bathrooms were modern & the showers were powerful & always provided hot water. The sitting room was comfy & we were able to watch Netflix & Amazon prime on the large internet TV . The internet was fast which was great as some members of our family had to work during some of the days we were there. We loved all the artwork in the property & the little touches that made it feel very homely. The upstairs sitting room was lovely & felt very peaceful especially as I needed a few minutes away from the family downstairs on occasions!! There were plenty of games, books & children's games & jigsaw's. The house was very warm & had been decorated to a high standard. It was extremely clean & we felt very much at home from the time we arrived. Borth Esgob is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in & we would like to visit again. We have plenty of happy family memories from our week spent there If it ever goes on the market please let me know!!!

North Wales holidays

North Wales seeped in Welsh history and culture, is a region passionate about language music and history. This area is a holiday hot bed due to its gorgeous scenery and natural attractions. Fine sand beaches, along with rivers, mountains, and waterfalls dot the landscape and create an atmosphere that must be seen to be believed.

North Wales has many attractions for the adventurous traveller. Sail a boat in the Abersoch Llyn Peninsula, mountain bike at Coed Llandegla, or hike on the Brecon Beacons. The whole family can take surf lessons on the Llyn Peninsula too or horseback ride down the beach at Marloes Sands. Walk along the Anglesey Coast Path in Church Bay or mountain bike the Clwydian Range.

All of North Wales makes for a fun holiday, but try these top locations first:

Snowdonia: White water raft in Bala or climb ropes in Ogwen Valley - Snowdonia has it all. There is also a national park of 823 square miles in the area featuring mountain ranges, waterfalls, and incredible wildlife.

Denbighshire: The oldest inhabited piece of north east Wales is also the home of many UK celebrities.

Wrexham: A major cultural, educational, government, and economic hub of Northern Wales. The host of many sporting events and conventions for the area.

Deeside: Deeside is known for its industry, providing jobs for the people of Cheshire, Merseyside & North Wales and the home of Airbus (type of aircraft) manufacturing.

North Wales is picturesque, and you’ll want to experience it like a true Welshman by staying in a holiday rental instead of a hotel. Make your next holiday a special one by visiting North Wales - you won’t regret it.

Another great holiday!

Back this time for a week’s holiday after having a weekend last year. Was a perfect getaway for us for our first family holiday with our 4 month old. The cottage is in a fantastic location to get all over the island, and has everything we needed to make ourselves a home from home! Our holiday consisted of lazy mornings, beach, coastal and Forrest walks with the most beautiful scenery (Newbourgh was amazing!!) long lunches in some lovely restaurants, followed by cosy nights in watching films and cooking our evening meal in. It was perfect! Thanks a lot Helen!see more

Wonderful Weekend

Had a lovely, relaxing 3 days at Y Glenydd celebrating my mother and father in law’s Golden Wedding Anniversary with them and my husband, 2 daughters and the 2 dogs! Absolutely superb location and lovely bungalow, which had everything we needed! We got to use the hot tub one evening, which was very relaxing! The WiFi signal which is most important to my daughters was the best we’ve ever had anywhere! Although we didn’t use the transport there is a bus stop directly opposite the driveway and the train station is a 5 minute walk, and the local shops only a 10 minute walk! Thank you Mark and Richard, definitely will be returning, hopefully in the summer monthssee more

Fantastic Property

We had a lovely stay at this property. The rooms were extremely comfortable and we even had a high chair and travel cot provided for our little one. The rooms were very spacious and there was lots of room at the dining table and in the lounge for us all. The bungalow is ideally located in the village of Moelfre and we enjoyed lots of walks along the coastal path with our dog. On arrival we were given a lovely welcome hamper too which was very much appreciated. We would love to stay at this property again.see more

Short break

Lovely house with a big garden great for kids but in the dry weather otherwise very muddy. Garden was ok for my 2 old dogs but not secure for dogs who like to escape. I wouldn’t visit in the winter months it’s quite a cold house you would need to light the wood burners . Also nowhere to dry towels needs towel readiators in the bathrooms there cold and damp smellingsee more
