“Another Excellent Stay at Hen Gamdda Fawr Holiday Cottage!” This was the 2nd visit to this lovely and homely cottage in less than 12 months. Yet again it proved to be yet another well worth stay in this well kept cottage, but this time we made full us of the lovely multi-fuel stove in the living room. The fire really made the place really cosy and we managed to keep it going for the 4 nights we were there for. Yet again the cottage was immaculate when we arrived with milk in the fridge and some lovely scones. The weather was again very kind to us and we did have heavy frost, but this just made the cottage feel even better. We have already recommended Hen Gamdda Fawr to friends and work colleagues! Its a great place to stay which is quiet and slightly off the beaten track but this is what makes it special. We 'll be back soon!! Well done Helen for such a lovely holiday cottage and keep up the good work!!

“Lovely clean, and well fitted out bungalow, ideal for family holiday” We had a short (4 day) stay at this bungalow and were very impressed with all it had to offer. 3 nice bedrooms, ideal for us, our daughter and husband and 2 grandsons - not forgetting the dog. Allowing a dog is a massive bonus in our eyes. It was well provided for and we found it very comfortable and ideally situated for the eastern side of Angelsey - not that it's too far to travel all over. A handily located fish and chip shop 2 minutes walk away (very good too) and a couple of nice pubs and eating places nearby. Would recommend and consider going there again if we wanted to be in that area.

“beautiful, large and welcoming house!” situated above Prestatyn with wonderful views out to sea and surrounding area! The centre of Prestatyn with a selection of shops etc,, five mins in the car. Beach a mile away. Indoor pool and other facilities for children next to beach if weather is bad! Gorse Hill it self didn't disappoint being welcoming just like the owners who made is feel really welcome and even left a birthday cake for a special day! Thankyou Anthony and Heather. The house had every facility and a luxury finish and so much room so even with all the family you could escape to your room, cabin with pool table, childrens play area or room next to kitchen for older kids with wi and other games!! All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and would love to stay again.

“Perfect hideaway” Great weekend getaway only an hour away from Manchester. Our hosts Thomas and Amanda were very friendly and welcomed us with some home made bread, which was delicious. They both had excellent knowledge of the local area and made great suggestions where we could eat and visit. The hideaway itself was perfect with a huge king size bed and not forgetting the hot tub outside. I would recommend the hideaway to any couples wanting to get away for that romantic weekend and look forward to visiting again soon.

“A Lovely Base for a Lllandudno Holiday” Situated 5 minutes’ from Llandudno (by car) this charming cottage sleeps six people. I stayed here with my husband and two teenage daughters. On arrival the cottage was as clean as a new pin and very well-equipped. it is cosy yet stylishly decorated throughout, with artwork depicting beaches and sunsets on the walls, which give it a restful vibe and a reminder that you are at the seaside. Additional touches such as fresh flowers, candles and scatter cushions on the beds made it all the more welcoming. The kitchen was particularly impressive. I am so used to kitchens in holiday homes where you are lucky to even find a tin opener, but we found everything we needed here and I enjoyed preparing meals here. The beds were all comfy and we slept soundly. The leather sofas in the living room were also much appreciated when we were watching TV as we had the space to spread out a bit. Although ideal for us, I would not recommend Hengoed for guests with mobility problems, due to the rather steep steps leading to the door of the property. These could be even more hazardous in slippery, wet conditions. A decked balcony area at the front provides garden furniture and sun loungers, which is lovely on sunny days. It also looks attractive at night when the solar lights come on. A folder of places of interest in the area was provided at the cottage, which we found helpful to refer to. Wi-Fi at the cottage came in useful and the washing machine and drying area was a godsend after our gorge scrambling trip when we came back with wet clothes. Mobile phone reception was not great, though. I very much hope to stay at Hengoed again.

“Brilliant weekend” Myself, my partner and our two friends enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the Pant. The pictures do not do justice how beautiful of a house it is. Andrew, the owner, couldn't be more helpful and his directions, recommendations and instructions were second to none. Every spec of the Pant is luxury and we will most definitely be returning.

“Beautiful views” We stayed at Pilots Cottage with 4 adults and 2 children. All of the group thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The cottage is lovely, very spacious and clean with beautiful views out across the harbour from the kitchen and the outside decking area. The location is good, there are 2 pubs and a fish and chip shop very close to the house and the local village centre, which has several shops, takeaways and pubs is a 2 min drive or a less than 10 min walk. The highlight for me was the views from the house!

“Stunning!!” We are a family of 7 including a 3 year old & a dog. We visited Borth Esgob from 22nd - 29th of December to celebrate Christmas. The house was absolutely stunning & had the most beautiful views of the beach & coastline from every window. Our dog particularly enjoyed her 2 daily walks on the white sandy beach which was yards away from the property. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could think of including lots of glasses, large glasses for wine ( always welcome!!) Cutlery, mugs, dinner sets, coffee machine ( pods) various sized coffee bodums, tea pots, cook ware, etc, etc. The American style fridge freezer was very useful for large families. The utility room housed a washing machine & a dryer which was helpful when you have a 3 year old with you. The 4 bathrooms were modern & the showers were powerful & always provided hot water. The sitting room was comfy & we were able to watch Netflix & Amazon prime on the large internet TV . The internet was fast which was great as some members of our family had to work during some of the days we were there. We loved all the artwork in the property & the little touches that made it feel very homely. The upstairs sitting room was lovely & felt very peaceful especially as I needed a few minutes away from the family downstairs on occasions!! There were plenty of games, books & children's games & jigsaw's. The house was very warm & had been decorated to a high standard. It was extremely clean & we felt very much at home from the time we arrived. Borth Esgob is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in & we would like to visit again. We have plenty of happy family memories from our week spent there If it ever goes on the market please let me know!!!

“Little piece of heaven” This place is amazing. The hot tub was just divine and we were so lucky with the weather cause when your in the tub at night you see nothing but the stars !!! So piece full and relaxing. The owners have thought of everything. The little town of Dolgellau was about a 5 minute drive with the a large Eurospar and the pubs. Try the fish and chippy....amazing but the opening times are pretty short. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get away from city life for a few days. Wifi is good but you can struggle getting signal to make calls with mobiles but we didn't go here to connect to the world, we wanted to get away from it!!!! Heaven !

“lovely relaxing get away by the sea” we were so delighted with our stay here, the house is stunning, modern, comfatable and in a lovely peaceful location. the balcony overlooking the beach was perfect, we all enjoyed sitting and admiring the view until the sun went down, even our dog spent all his time people watching......there are plenty of little cafes and places to eat close by, we enjoyed an indian takeaway one evening, and Dylans resturant opposite is a must. There are plenty of places to visit in the area but our purpose for our holiday was to relax and unwind, which is exactly what we did, walks on the beach, nice food. and luxury accomodation, perfect for us. We highly recommend this holiday rental, it was perfect.

North Wales holidays

North Wales seeped in Welsh history and culture, is a region passionate about language music and history. This area is a holiday hot bed due to its gorgeous scenery and natural attractions. Fine sand beaches, along with rivers, mountains, and waterfalls dot the landscape and create an atmosphere that must be seen to be believed.

North Wales has many attractions for the adventurous traveller. Sail a boat in the Abersoch Llyn Peninsula, mountain bike at Coed Llandegla, or hike on the Brecon Beacons. The whole family can take surf lessons on the Llyn Peninsula too or horseback ride down the beach at Marloes Sands. Walk along the Anglesey Coast Path in Church Bay or mountain bike the Clwydian Range.

All of North Wales makes for a fun holiday, but try these top locations first:

Snowdonia: White water raft in Bala or climb ropes in Ogwen Valley - Snowdonia has it all. There is also a national park of 823 square miles in the area featuring mountain ranges, waterfalls, and incredible wildlife.

Denbighshire: The oldest inhabited piece of north east Wales is also the home of many UK celebrities.

Wrexham: A major cultural, educational, government, and economic hub of Northern Wales. The host of many sporting events and conventions for the area.

Deeside: Deeside is known for its industry, providing jobs for the people of Cheshire, Merseyside & North Wales and the home of Airbus (type of aircraft) manufacturing.

North Wales is picturesque, and you’ll want to experience it like a true Welshman by staying in a holiday rental instead of a hotel. Make your next holiday a special one by visiting North Wales - you won’t regret it.

Highly recommend

We should have gone to the Chapel for our Christmas break but unfortunately due to the Covid lockdown, we were unable to go. This would have been our second stay in this cottage. Alan, the owner, contacted me several days before we were due to go and as agreed gave us a full refund. We were obviously disappointed not to be able to go but were very impressed that there was no hassle involved in obtaining a refund. We have booked again and hopefully will be able to go this time. Thank you Alan.see more

Beautiful spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and had absolutely everything we needed! The sauna was an amazing perk, and having Netflix on the TV, a record player and a coffee machine was great for the one rainy day we had. There are lots of lovely walks in the area too and some great places to stop for food in Llangollen. Lovely place, lovely host, would 100% recommend!see more

It was a beautiful experience staying at this place. Cosy place with everything you need . When you get up in the morning you are freshen up by the views from your bedroom windows . The real taste of countryside with sheep , cows ,pony and rabbit . Tesco and coop were just 5 mints drive . Hosts were amazing they were helpful In every way. .They provided a lot of grocery items before our arrival What ever my needs and problems were they were always willing to provide maximum comfort. They have two very well behaved and decent kids. Stunning, peaceful, perfect!!!

Before I go any further, GET THIS BOOKED BEFORE ITS FULL!! We stayed for 4 nights and it left us wanting more, so much so we are looking to book again! The lodge itself is well equipped and cosy, the comfort definitely made it feel like home away from home. We were greeted with some lovely compliments from the owners (which were much appreciated) and even a special surprise waiting for our pooch on arrival! Set in gorgeous countryside with views sprawling views of the valleys you can enjoy your breakfast and morning cuppa while taking in this delightful scenery. It doesn't stop there though, there is plenty more to see around the site with an array of walks straight from the cabin door or within a short drive (your never short of choice) beaches, castles, nature reserves, lakes to name a few. Tony and Debs were great hosts, so friendly and always prompt with communication, you literally couldn't get a better host for your stay. Like I said at the beginning don't miss out on this loge it is not one to be missing out on!!see more

Modern and beautifully clean - the perfect base

We were really impressed with this caravan, it has a lovely feel. We stayed in September so the weather was mixed but it is equally good for cosy rainy days as it is for warm sunny days. The beach is within walking distance and there are lots of opportunities for exploring, both along the coast and inland. There is a range of activities, restaurants, cafes and shops in nearby Abersoch. We will definitely be returning.see more

Excellent. Well equipped, spacious - great views. Ideal for families.

Good to be away at last for a few days with the family.. Everything as we remembered, spacious, homely with the addition of the roof top sitting area with beautiful views of Snowdonia. Yes we were lucky with the weather. Room for us all to do our own thing. Usual trips into Beaumaris - found the new coffee shop . Walked down on the beach to the Ship. Everything just right. Hope to come again when restrictions allow. Thanks Braham family. Sent from my iPadsee more
