“A great place to spend a weekend away.” The Lodge was perfect for our stag weekend. Everyone could convene in one area and the facilities were excellent. It had everything we needed. A great find. The owner, Robert, was very helpful and welcoming too.
“We want to move in!” There was unanimous agreement among the 21 of us who stayed at the beautiful Eco Lodge and the lovely adjoining Barns- we did not want to go home. In fact that really was the only complaint- we did not book it for long enough (4 nights). Do not let the winters put you off coming here. Although it would be amazing to return in the summer, we loved the cosy, secluded vibe. Unlimited wood to light your fire at your disposal, it was simply dreamy. The Eco Lodge itself is nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, and there was nothing that we did not have. I simply cannot rave enough about this place, so you will have to book it to see for yourself. There are lovely walks and trails on the site with some interesting features. Lampeter is a lovely little town and we found the people friendly. We also visited New Quay beach, which was beautiful. The Eco Lodge and barn/dorms are an ideal location for visiting other towns but a cosy, comfortable place to retreat to at the end of the day. Aside from this the customer service, particularly from Mara was excellent. We will definitely be back, and will not be hesitating to recommend.
“A little piece of heaven” This place was my first experience of a lodge and hot tub and also of the beautiful Anglesey, WOW am i hooked. The lodge itself is stunning in everyway and the standard to which it is is amazing. The grounds are beautiful and plenty to do around the area. Already arranging a return visit.
“A beautiful treat!” Just woken up following my return from a three night stay at the gorgeous Cherry Tree lodge feeling very disappointed that I haven't woken up to the lovely views and crisp air I've gotten used to these last few days!
I have had the most amazing three nights, in a beautiful place with some beautiful views. The cabin itself was perfectly equipped for our stay, with everything you could possibly need for a self catered trip. We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed to a lovely care package of bread, milk and nibbles too.
We experienced a morning with no hot water due to the gas running out but was so pleased with Debbie's quick response and solution in sorting it out for us.
The hot tub was an added bonus where we spent each night, overlooking the lovely pond, where towels were provided for us to use as well.
In terms of things to do, we found the town was a really simple, peaceful place - exactly what we wanted for our trip. A visit to Elan Valley is definitely recommended - pack your wellies!
The Cherry Tree lodge comes highly recommended and i only hope we have an opportunity to stay again!
“Outstanding country escape” We searched the dictionary to come up with the best word to describe our short stay at the Lodge: IDYLLIC is the best description we can apply. The Lodge is an ideal country getaway. The hours will go by as you watch the ebb and flow of the tide in the estuary, until the twinkiling lights of Porthmadoc make you realise a few hours have passed by.
The trials and tribulations of everyday life will just float away as you relax into the pace of the place. Great views, wonderful wildlife and the mini-burner makes it a lovely romantic retreat.
“Lovely place to stay, great setting.” Beautifully kept park. The Lodge was immaculate and the outside decking was good for sitting out. My grandchildren loved it . We all had a great holiday and would happily stay again.
“Stunning lodge, like a home from home” This lodge definitely has the wow factor and Joanne went the extra mile to make it even more accommodating with tea/coffee/milk, toilettries, robes for the hot tub, towels etc. Absolutely blown away by the views too. I was with 6 friends at a festival and some of them barely saw any bands and chose to relax at the lodge for most of the weekend instead. It was an amazing retreat and I will definitely look at booking again both with friends and also a getaway with my children who I know will love it just as much. It was also an ideal distance from the stages... not noisy at all with the rest of the festival goers, yet still within easy walking distance.
The only issue we had was that on the 2nd day, the hot tub needed refilling. The maintenance guy came to do it and asked us to keep an eye on water levels as it was expected to take about 3 hours to refill. 8 hours later it was only about a quarter full so we ended up doing runs from the kitchen tap to the tub with the mop bucket. 25 buckets full later and we were good to go but the water wasn't up to teperature again until the next day. Minor detail though on what was otherwise a perfect lodge, in the most beautiful location with an excellent host who made our stay very welcoming. 5 stars for Joanne!
“Amazing” We stayed at the lodge for a low key / restful hen weekend. The property was very easy to find and when we turned up at the lodge we were speechless. The setting was very idilic and the lodge was simply charming. The owners simply couldn't have done more for us during the booking process or whilst we were there. The accommodation was to a very high standard and the lodge had everything we needed. We enjoyed our afternoon relaxing on deck chairs and loungers and evenings dining on the veranda overlooking the lake. Thank you so much for a great weekend.
“The best cabin ive ever stayed in” This place is amazing with the best view on the park. We stayed from 27th December till 2nd January last year. We arrived and automatically felt at home. The cabin is home from home with everthing that you will need for your stay down to washing tablets and dishwasher tablets. The hot tub is brilliant stayed nice and warm for along time. Id recommended this to anyone is it beautiful and a credit to whom owns it. Thankyou fir a great Christmas break.
“Wonderful Break” I can't recommend Swn Y Nant enough!!! It is a great lodge in a great location, with amazing attentive hosts, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing stay. The lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need, it is truly a home from home.
“Cosy, pet-friendly home from home” Had a wonderful stay at Apple Blossom Lodge. Debbie has thought of everything you might need and made the lodge really cosy. The bed is really comfortable, there is plenty of hot water and a powerful shower in the bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed making a cooked breakfast each morning. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing at the end of the day after a long walk round the countryside.
“Hidden Gem of Snowdonia” I don't know from where to start!!!
Stunning place, with amazing hosts (Elaine and Ed you are just fab!) and such a beautiful surrounding.
We usually travel with our dogs, this time as well. Place is dog friendly (they even make a welcome gift for dogs - treats!!), it has large garden enclosed to lodge so dogs can run free without being worried if something happen. You can do a BBQ, if you don't have you're own Elaine has a spare one just in case. Lodge is nicely furnished with fresh bedding and towels. You can always find a small treat for you! Elaine left for a us a bottle of wine, cookies and fresh milk (that's my treat).
Miles and miles of walks! you can walk to center of charming Beddgelert either with road or with a nice public path going behind the village .
We stayed here twice and we will for sure stay again!! Most likely July this year as Elaine and Ed are opening a new lodge!!! More luxury for more people!
“5 star escape set within a stunning location” My Wife and I decided to opt for this property over others, mainly because of the images on the website coupled with the flowing stream outside the property. The property in person exceeded all expectations from the images!
We were greeted by Ed upon arrival, along with a friendly Border Collie. Ed showed us up to the property and how to operate the boiler etc. It was clear that if there were any problems that Ed and Elaine would be happy to help.
A bottle of wine and chocolates were placed in the property for our arrival, which was a lovely touch.
Over the next few days my Wife and I had a wonderful and relaxing time, we took our Golden Lab along with us who thoroughly enjoyed the nearby walks, and the 2 horses and Pony on site!
The only time we required assistance was when we needed to light the gas cooker for the first time, this was swiftly sorted by Ed and Elaine whom helped straight away with no issues! Other than that we were left to enjoy our Easter break in private, it was comforting thought to know they were only down the path should we require help.
Overall this was a fantastic break away for us, made completely by the quality of this property and location. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing break away. Perfect for couples, dogs, and small families.
“Perfect post Christmas break” The log cabin was perfect for a relaxing family break. It's in a beautiful peacful setting, easy to find and in a good location On arrival it was very warm and welcoming after our long journey It was very clean, spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The hot tub was an added bonus. As it was our first time in this part of Wales we throughly enjoyed exploring places of interest in the area which were all very easily accessible to get to. Alan the owner was lovely and always very helpful when I spoke to him. I would highly recommend this accommodation
“Amazing place to stay” The lodge was everything I could have asked for and more. The view is breath taking!
In the evenings it got a little chillier so perfect excuse to get the log burner lite.
Short walk to lovely shops, pubs and restaurants. One restaurant I would recommend is twenty one, food and service outstanding!
