“Perfect for friends- and family get-away!” We (2 families with kids ages 6-11) had a lovely pre-Easter get-away at Abernant Barn. The property is a fantastic base for outdoor pursuits and the location a paradise for kids and nature lovers, with own river, fire pit and big fields to play on. The barn lies fairly secluded down a long drive with plenty of space for kids to roam freely. The newly refurbished barn is very comfortable, modern and equipped to a very high standard, well thought through for outdoor-indoor living. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge covered terrasse with jacuzzi, large open-space living room and slate floors with under floor heating. The kids enjoyed watching DVDs on the TV in the evening, whereas the adults enjoyed the music system. After being outdoors come rain or shine having a washing machine was also very handy. The kitchen has both fridge freezer and induction hob, microwave and big oven, though space around the dining table comes as a bit of a squeeze for 8 people. Lots of lovely food to be made for the adventurous cook including on the outdoors BBQ !! We got a Tesco delivery to the property, but there is also a very friendly little Spar in the village 10 min away by car. We saw lots of wildlife - including mink, pheasants, nesting nuthatches and even the red kites. Surrounding fields abound with horses and ponies, cattle and plenty of little Easter lambs to please the kids. Bernard was always very helpful and quick to respond to any question and queries both before and during our stay. We would love to come again!

“Mr + Mrs” We had the most amazing weekend with family + friends staying at The Hawthorns .', 10 adults . If you want very comfortable spacious accommodation with luxury , then this is the ideal accommodation to book . As you walk through the door you immediately notice how clean , light + beautifully furnished it is . Everybody commented on how comfortable the beds were with quality linen + towels , the upstairs bedroom , bathroom + lounge ( with views ) was fantastic ! Fabulous patio with table for 10 , sun loungers accessed from the kitchen / dinner / lounge via bifolding doors + a gorgeous hot tub to relax in . Saundersfoot is a little town with fantastic restaurants "Coast " - overlooking the sea with great seafood + " The Mulberry " - best Sunday lunch ever . Hopefully we will enjoy another stay there in the not too distant future

“Fantastic Property & Location” This property was ideally located for trips to many of our favourite beauty spots around the Gower. The accommodation was absolutely fantastic, finished to an exceptionally high standard but still extremely comfortable. There were 8 of us in our party (2 families) but there was plenty of space and we never felt we were on top of each other. The owners had provided pretty much everything you could ask for with regard to practical items like kitchen equipment etc and plenty more besides - a lot of thought had clearly been put into what would make their guests' stay special. Most definitely recommend this property to young and old alike and we have already booked a return visit.

“Stunning lodge, like a home from home” This lodge definitely has the wow factor and Joanne went the extra mile to make it even more accommodating with tea/coffee/milk, toilettries, robes for the hot tub, towels etc. Absolutely blown away by the views too. I was with 6 friends at a festival and some of them barely saw any bands and chose to relax at the lodge for most of the weekend instead. It was an amazing retreat and I will definitely look at booking again both with friends and also a getaway with my children who I know will love it just as much. It was also an ideal distance from the stages... not noisy at all with the rest of the festival goers, yet still within easy walking distance. The only issue we had was that on the 2nd day, the hot tub needed refilling. The maintenance guy came to do it and asked us to keep an eye on water levels as it was expected to take about 3 hours to refill. 8 hours later it was only about a quarter full so we ended up doing runs from the kitchen tap to the tub with the mop bucket. 25 buckets full later and we were good to go but the water wasn't up to teperature again until the next day. Minor detail though on what was otherwise a perfect lodge, in the most beautiful location with an excellent host who made our stay very welcoming. 5 stars for Joanne!

“Fetching lodge with a plethora of charm” It was the perfect place for a group of 9 to have a relaxing time whilst making sure to stay up late and socialise in the pool and hot tub into the wee hours of the morning. The house is well stocked and we cooked some amazing meals and made sure to make use of the BBQ too. We definitely recommend it. The lady was lovely and are thinking of coming again maybe next year.

“Beautiful, romantic retreat” My partner and I booked a relaxing weekend away in Beudy Bach cottage staying 2 nights, Saturday to Monday. The owners were very accommodating and offered an early check of 1pm on the Saturday which was very much appreciated.  On arrival we were greeted with freshly baked homemade bread, a bottle of wine and a very warm welcome. We were made to feel totally at home throughout our stay.   The private cottage is beautiful, very cosy and well equipped. It is situated in a very rural spot with stunning views yet only a 5 minute drive from the A55 making exploring the north wales coast very easy and convenient.  The Spa facilities including hot tub and sauna are very well maintained. The area is lit meaning the hot tub can be used throughout the evening – a lovely treat with a nice glass of bubbly!   We would highly recommend this cottage for both relaxing weekend breaks and longer stays to explore the surrounding area.  A massive thank you to Lliwen and Paul. “Ideal for Couple or Family seeking peace but access to Cardiff” This property was ideal, we were visiting our daughter who was due to have a baby in Cardiff. The city was 25 minutes drive on excellent roads. It is set in a very small village with no shop but an good pub restaurant. Daily we passed by a local shop & large shopping centres were 15 minutes drive away. You do need a car, but you'll definitely want one to explore the little villages & seaside close by and the facilities Cardiff has to offer. Pembrokeshire is close enough to visit in a day. Facilities were excellent, it can sleep up to 6 although I would say that 2 should be kids. The lounge area was cosy with a nice outlook wood fire & the kitchen/eating room was a delight to be in. Beds were comfortable and good BBQ deck. We had a long term stay - almost 3 months and felt like we were home. We entertained at the cottage, had visitors stay from Europe. Great cottage for a short holiday and excellent for a long term stay. Highly recommended. Fantastic hosts, there if you needed them but otherwise unobtrusive.

“Great cottage” Very comfortable well equipped character cottage. Cozy and peaceful with amazing views. The outside area was small and not sufficient for late night or early morning pets to use. There is a pathway leading to pine forest a few minutes walk away for this purpose, this was a bit of a struggle with two elderly dogs and a pup! It’s a great location to explore from, we visited Barmouth, Tywn, Aberdovey and castles of Harlech and Caernarfon. Rode the steam trains at Porthmadog, and Caernarfon, Tywn and Bala Lake. All in all great holiday let, highly recommend x

“Just perfect!” My partner & I wanted to take my elderly mother back to Ruthin where she'd lived for 30 years. I thought it was going to be difficult to find somewhere accessible that would also allow pets, but Llety Maes Ffynnon was perfect! Mum has poor mobility, but the apartment was ideal for her as there was enough room for her to push her "walker" around and the floors were hard, not carpeted. She was able to shower easily and a perching stool was provided. The apartment had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. There was a selection of DVD's, books and magazines, a play station and unlimited wifi. Gary and Carys had even put some milk and a couple of beers in the fridge for us. Most welcome after a four hour journey! The nicest part was being able to sit out on the balcony overlooking the park and lake. Each morning and evening we were visited by 2 swans and their 8 cygnets. They obviously know where to go for food! Llety Maes Ffynnon is ideally situated as it's only a few minutes walk into town and to the park. Ruthin is a great base for exploring North Wales, and it was lovely to go back. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Ruthin, and hope to return again one day

“Unashamed Luxury” We have just spent a long weekend at Llanllliana, with friends and family, celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. There are not enough superlatives to describe this beautiful house and its grounds. You want views? It's got them. You want warmth? It's warm. You want beautifully decorated rooms? It has them. You want a 'state of the art' kitchen? It has it - including 3, yes 3 fridges. And 2 dishwasher! Wait for it, and a 3rd in the bar in the dining room! The entire house is a statement of excellent taste and don't even get me started on the bathrooms. To sum up, HEAVEN.

“Our week at Yr Onnen” We felt a frisson of excitement as we drove towards the cottage, as the almost magical scenery made us think of Hobbit country...beautiful leafy dells, with birds of prey circling around. We certainly felt we were leaving civilisation behind. We were impressed by the warm welcome when we arrived and we were delighted with the cosy cottage atmosphere. We really needed a quite break away with our small son and the cottage and location were ideal. The cottage was well equipped, but really surpassed our expectations as it had a games room stocked with family Dvds, toys, table tennis table etc., and an outdoor playgroud area complete with trampoline and swings. Our 5 yr old was entranced by the red kites screeching overhead and the bats at early evening. We would certainly stay again at this cottage. Our only slight disappointment was the double bed (as we are used to a king size bed at home!) which felt a little small and the mattress was not comfortable. However, this did not stop us from completely relaxing at the property which felt very homely. I would rate this cottage very highly.

“Home from home” First stay at this excellent property although already booked again for next year which really says it all. Comfortable property in beautiful part of Wales and well equipted with everything you could wish for. Ice cream factory in Tywyn well worth a visit and in the words of my 10 year old son the best ice cream I have ever tasted!
