“Hidden Gem!” We were looking for somewhere to completely “get away from it all” and we certainly found it in this magical place Funchal. It is a hidden gem tucked away at the end of a lane in the heart of the Gower. The accommodation is compact, clean and comfortable, there is a log burner for those chilly nights even beach towels and a lovely Welcome Box with welsh cakes on arrival. It had everything that we needed There is plenty of outside space for children to play safely and there is a balcony at the rear of the property which we used most days to eat out on and enjoy the view, whilst to the front a veranda with even more seating, we found this very useful when coming back from our walks. Liz and Chris were very helpful throughout the booking process and we found the cottage easily. Being able to park the car directly outside the gate was a real bonus when offloading the bags, in fact this is where it stayed for most of the time we were at Funchal as the waking is excellent and the coastline and beaches are superb. You can easily reach what has got to be one the most beautiful views of a beach by walking along from the cottage and out past the castle to Three Cliffs Bay. We would definitely return here as there is so much to do and see and if the weather is good it really is a welsh paradise.

“Perfection” What an amazing week we had at Fran’s incredibly cozy and unbelievably situated chalet!!! We were expecting to be blown away by the views but they were even better on arrival and we never tired of them. The chalet has absolutely everything you could need and is incredibly comfy and warm...the log burning stove was fantastic! The gardens are lovely and our 7 year old daughter (and 10 year old Jack Russell) had many adventures! We walked from the chalet everyday and also drove to some amazing beaches. Fran was super friendly and receptive, she couldn’t have been more helpful. If you’re after a beautiful, private, cozy break in a beautiful part of North Wales...with a knock-out view then don’t book anywhere else!

“Lovely base to explore Pembrokeshire” Had a lush week here with the family. Beach a stone's throw away. Stackpole literally around the corner. Tenby down the road! What more could you ask for location wise! Owner is accommodating, the holiday let itself is comfortable and squeezed five of us, although was a squeeze! Possibly could've done with another dining table chair, and a three seater sofa and two seater instead of two two seaters. Four people would be more than comfy here. Shower was ok, the house also has a large bath if needed which is nice. We would definitely go back again as we had a really good time. I recommend you try it for yourselves :-)

“Fantastic chalet” Was just visiting for a few days and had previously stayed on the same holiday park before and found it great value for money. The chalet this time was of a much higher standard, decorated, furnished and equipped with excellently. Anything you'd need from multiple TVs and modern kitchen to a furnished balcony and games, dvds and a tumble dryer for when the Welsh weather plays up. Look forward to booking again.

“Little gem” What a fantastic break. The chalet is like a home from home with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. “Excellent” Our stay at estuary view was fab we stayed 4 nights with our 2 dogs brilliant view from the chalet lots of places to walk the dogs weather was good to us we went on the beach every day. The chalet as every thing you need home from home it was just perfect

“Superb! 5*****” The photos don’t do the cottage justice. Absolutely gorgeous! It was spotlessly clean and comfortable for a family of 5 with two dogs. Master bedroom was spacious with 2 windows. All the furniture and decoration looked brand new. There is a decking out the back with seating. Such a perfect location, the site is fabulous with a huge salmon river running through. 2 miles from the town of Caernarfon and only 7 miles from a huge beach at Dinas Dinlle. The cafe on site was brilliant, lovely food and such friendly owners. I can’t recommend this cottage enough. We will definitely come back for another stay. (We weren’t able to use the swimming pool due to Covid but it looked such a great area right next to the children’s play area and the restaurant / club room). Honestly loved this place. Phil the owner answered my emails straight away. So impressed. Thank you so much.

“Peaceful family break” A wonderful place to stay for a peaceful break from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. The chalet is equipped with everything we needed and we particularly enjoyed the fire pit area - food always tastes so much better when it's been cooked over a proper fire! The beds were comfortable (if a little creaky), and the whole chalet was very clean and neat. The views are amazing and the location is perfect for exploring Snowdonia whilst being lovely and quiet - the peace was shattered only (temporarily) by the RAF jets which provided a spectacular display! Our dog was VERY happy! He had plenty of room to run around made friends immediately with Thorn! We would definitely recommend Chaley Ty Cerrig for a peaceful, family and dog-friendly holiday in view of the mountains of North Wales. Thank you Richard for sharing such a lovely place with us for a week - we hope to return soon.

“Summer vacation in beautiful surroundings” Visited Freshwater East for a week and wish we had stayed longer! Lovely, cosy chalet just right for our little family of four. It had everything we needed and very comfortable considering we had a 3 month old baby. The beach is just walking distance and the Longhouse shop/ restaurant was handy for getting a few bits and bobs. If doing a proper food shopping best to head to Pembroke Docks where there's a Tesco and all other shops. All in all, we had a lovely stay and would come back again.

“Lovely place to stay” We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Freshwater East! The coastline is absolutely stunning and there is so much to do in the area. We visited different beaches, Hilton Court gardens, Stackpole National Trust estate ( just down the road), Tenby, and for the kids, we highly recommend Folly Farm and Blue Lagoon water park. The chalet was perfect for our family and had everything we needed along with great wifi and very comfy beds, my daughter even says she misses her holiday bed! Highly recommended! Thanks Mari :)

“Lovely short break” We had 3 fabulous days & the chalet catered very well for our needs. A little bit more,attention to the cleaning of the chalet was needed. However we would not hesitate to return & have already recommended it to family & friends.
