“Perfect Cottage” From the moment we arrived at Rose cottage until we left we felt at home. The cottage has a real home from home feel about, from the minute you step into the cosy, large , warm kitchen. The cottage has everything you need, and more. The sitting room with cosy wood burner, and full sky package is the perfect place to spend an evening. Although there is a little traffic noise, after mid evening there’s very little. The garden spread over three levels catches the sun throughout the day, even managed to sit out a couple of times. The welcome pack that Phillip provides is a lovely gesture, and was gratefully received. The cottage is set in a great location for exploring the Cumbrian coast and the Lake District fells.Managed walks in Wasdale, Boot and three Wainwrights plus a trip in the Ravenglass railway. Overall a great place to stay in a fantastic cottage.

“Well equipped and comfortable accommodation with tasteful decor” We greatly enjoyed our stay but because of the location of the property and the fact that the master bedroom with en suite is situated at the top of the house it is more suited to able and active visitors but the view of Morecambe Bay from the top room is ample compensation. The house is uphill from the town (it took us 10 minutes to walk down and a couple of minutes more to walk up) and one of our group only attempted it once and had to stop for breath four times on the upward journey, downward being no problem. There is good, reasonably priced parking in the town should you prefer to drive. It is one of the best holiday homes we have rented and would have no hesitation recommending it.

“60th Celebration” Superb accommodation. Beautiful location, immaculate inside and out. Just wish we could have stayed longer in what really is an idyllic spot. Owners were really helpful in responding to questions and we will hopefully book a return visit soon. So convenient for Ambleside.

“Quirky signal house,with plenty of character and warmth in an ideal location.” This property meets all expectations and more. Excellent hospitality and welcome from the owner. The signal house has been perfectly refurbished, slightly more modern whilst keeping its unique originality true to character! Very clean and larger than it looks in photos, family of 4 would still be comfortable in this property! Placed in an ideal location surrounded by woodland behind and open fields from the front, only a few cars drove past in our 3 day stay with sound of birds, lambs and lots of friendly hens and ducks making the only noise. Highly recommend to everyone!!

“Perfect Stay” A lovely clean place with alot of character. The whole place was alot larger than the photos made out and had all the facilities we needed. The location is ideal, out the way but only a 2-4min walk to the shops and restaurants. Walking distance to Bowness or £3.50 cab from local taxi service based in Windermere itself. Recommend getting a boat from Bowness upto Ambleside (In Ambleside POI 'Stock Ghyll Force' waterfall).

“Very nice” Spent 4 days at the White Cross Bay Park in a private rental. Log cabin was spotless and well maintained. The park is positioned well so you can get to many places easily. Situated right on the lake. Check in was easy and although we did not use any of the Parkdean facilities we had an enjoyable stay.

“Rural Retreat” Woodland cottage is a lovely place to stay. It is near Cartmel for those that need a village close by and yet the setting of the cottage is wonderful, particularly if you have a dog. The garden is superb and enclosed which is very useful. The cottage is just as described by John H the owner who cares about his visitors and ensures you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. If you are looking for 5 star luxury with gold plated fittings then try The Swan Hotel at Newby Bridge- but if you want down to earth home comfort, in a cozy cottage then this is the place to stay.

“Longthwaite Farmhouse” A wonderful house for a family get together. A warm and cosy farmhouse in a beautiful setting. The children were pleasantly impressed with the fun they had in the river and the close proximately of the Youth Hostel with its games room making up for the lack of internet and TV. “Perfect house for the sights of Keswick” Enjoyed a fantastic trip to Keswick for my husband and best friend's joint birthday celebrations. All eight of us found the property both beautifully appointed and perfectly located; the town square is a couple of minutes walk. Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be returning in the near future.

“Amazing !!!!” I was extremely fortunate to be invited to spend a weekend a Blencowe Hall for a friends Silver Wedding celebration and all I can say is one word.......amazing !!! From the initial sighting of the hall as you drive along the road from Greystoke I was totally blown away The Hall itself has been beautifully refurbished and is a testament to the hard work and dedication from its current owners If you are expecting sleek modernist decor then this is NOT the place for you, however if you want fantastic comfort in an amazing building then it is most definitely for you I can't fault Blencowe Hall on any level and would highly recommend it as a fantastic venue for any special occasion and I feel very privileged to have been able to spend a memorable weekend there

“"Perfect" ��” What a delightful place to stay. You are surrounded by a wonderful standered of luxury in the most tranquil and peaceful location you could wish for. We are a little fussy I admit and have checked out of many hotels etc.... We must return to this lodge as we truly feel like we have had a break. Plenty of local pubs within 5-20mins. Great beer & food. The Lake District all within 20-30 mins drive and the nest if luxury and peace when you return. Please do not think too hard or you may miss the location of a lifetime. We LOVED this place and will return hopefully many times. You will NOT be disappointed. Thankyou

“Great, central location in Kewsick, comfortable and well equipped.” A beautifull house, great location in Keswick. Easy to access the fells and the town on foot. The house is spacious, comfortable, well decorated. The kitchen had all the requirements for catering for a large group. There were amble bathrooms. would definitley recommend a stay here.

“very quite pleasant village to stay in, beautiful surroundings” this must be the best part of the lake district. personally i don't like the cities and the shopping, so staying in boot for a quite stay with my wife was the best holiday of my life. pleasant walk by the river in the evenings, or more adventurous mountain climbs there's the best of both worlds.
