“Weekend to remember” Melmerby Hall is a perfect place for a family gathering or as we had a large group of friends, the attention to detail in all the many rooms was a perfect balance of comfort and elegance. The whole house is so very well equipped ,with games for the garden to every kitchen item you could wish for.The beautiful gardens to wander in and lots of easy accessible walks near by just add to the perfect get away for a mixed crowd of all ages.A big thank you for the very generous hamper waiting for us in the kitchen , which was such a lovely surprise .The jewel in the crown must be Jilly , who cooked us a most amazing meal on the Saturday night ,served up by a most helpful and cheery lady .The two lady's gave us a wonderful evening and left the kitchen sparkling.I would recommend Jilly and her team to anyone who stays at Melmerby ,who would like a treat of a wonderful meal cooked and served to perfection.

“Fabulous” We all had a fabulous time at Cazenovia hall during our 3 night break. The property and the garden was well managed and well equipped for the visitors. We would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cottage break in Lake District...

“A very restful and relaxing stay” We have stayed at this property before and would fully recommend this. Everything is there that you need and the beds are just so comfortable. It is in easy reach to the Lakes if you enjoy hill walking and some very enjoyable cycle rides along the country lanes near the cottage. The views from the Cottage are breathtaking particularly up to the Cumbrian Moors. If you are of the outdoor type then this is the place for you. With the Lakes in easy reach you have a huge range of hill walking from the easy to the extreme. I would thoroughly recommend Jenny's Croft and The Rowley Estates to anyone. The Hamper on arrival is great and the added touch of the well known "Toffee Shop" sweets was very welcoming. Thank you Charlie & Christine antony Cook

“Relaxing” Beautiful location, dog friendly so lots of walks Lacey Caves, Long Meg and her Daughters Druids Circle. The house was immaculate on arrival and a welcome hamper was provided which was a treat. House lovely and warm, beds very comfortable. Village shop at Kirkoswald and one at Langwathby had all the groceries I needed. I went to relax walk and read and it was the perfect place peaceful and quiet. The Shepherds Inn at Langwathby and The Featherstone arms at Kirkoswald were very nice for food and a very warm welcome. What I liked best was the peace and quiet, the thing I liked least was having to leave. The cleaning ladies and the house keeper were wonderful.

“This was certainly a wonderful retreat” If your looking for perfection in a holiday home then look no further. We were a family of 11 (6 adults and 5 children). Bedrooms all with lovely en-suite and lovely bedding and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need.Plenty of outdoor space for the children too. I would also like to compliment Rowley Estates on their welcome basket, everything in it was delicious. Will definitely recommend to friends.

“Wonderful house, magnificent setting, a walkers paradise.” Hause Hall Farm has something for everyone. With ages 9 - 86 in our party, we can honestly say we all enjoyed ourselves. the oldies enjoyed short walks and sitting in the sun room marvelling at the beautiful view, the younger ones scrambling up and down the hill behind the house, whilst the others took advantage of the many walks from the doorstep. Congratulations to the owners for their thoughtfulness in everything, a spotlessly clean, well equipped, very homely house.
“Fantastic cottage” Wythburn is beautiful and in immaculate condition. The renovation is top drawer and it is beautifully maintained. Whilst here we saw the cleaning time in one of the other cottages. It wasn't a quick wipe over. Everything was turned upside down so that the next guests had a spotless cottage. we were so impressed. As for the setting, it doesn't get much better. Beautifully situated alongside the stunning Castle, it is the perfect spot for a rest, as a base for touring and walking, and near to good restaurants et al. It is just perfect, We have stayed with The Rowley properties on many occasions. They are all the same condition and the same care taken to make each property special. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
“Relaxing stay in a beautuful cottage” We have just returned from a three night break at Stag Cottage . Everything was perfect from start to finish. Everyone has been so efficient and helpful in ensuring that we enjoyed our stay. The cottage was warm when we arrived, a generous welcome pack was much appreciated. Lovely wood burner with plentiful logs. Beautifully decorated. A wonderfully comfortable and relaxing break, with every attention to detail from the managers and staff. Thank you very much. We would love to return.
“Old Meets New beautifully!” I loved this place! Being from the U.S., "old" to me is maybe 100 years old or something like that, and many houses that old will definitely look their age. We found this place on the internet and thought it would be cool to stay somewhere that was really old, and we were right. The funny thing is, although it is old the property is really modern with the conveniences so it is very comfortable. We had some very nice weather while staying at Glasonby Hall and took full advantage of great walks right out the front door. The grounds or garden area was very pretty with great views over fields and the valley. Indoors, we found it had a four oven aga and a very large oak kitchen table. We enjoyed having fires in the evenings (all the wood and kindling was right there and ready for us - nice!) There is a little village nearby, Melmerby, that has some nice shops including the Bakery (my favorite). The bedrooms were very comfortable and our master bedroom had a beautiful four-poster bed. We hope we can come back again someday!
