Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Nice location convenient for Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale and near enough to good footpaths to walk the dog” Small premises but well-thought-out, fine for the two of us and a dog. Very rural. We enjoyed our stay very much.
“Delightful house in lovel location” We thoroughly enjoyed our short break in this lovely house. It's very well equipped and is extremely comfortable. We loved the wood burning stove and the large garden. Lots of activities, books to read, DVDs etc. Ideal for adults and families. Beautiful area. We recommend a visit to nearby Sizergh Castle and grounds.
“Perfect cottage for a Lake District trip” Firstly, Christine was very helpful in arranging everything for our stay and always responded to emails quickly which is always want you want when trying to arrange holidays.
Secondly, the cottage itself is great!! Decorated tastefully with everything you could need, small touches that were well thought of and appreciated by us. Kitchen is fully equipped to cook meals, fire was lovely on our rainy evenings and the location was great. Walking in to Kendal is super easy and quick and the town had plenty of places to eat and drink. Christine recommended a restaurant called New Moon for my partners birthday and it was great!
Third and final point is on the location for accessing the Lake District (Windermere and Grasmere were the two we went to) tourist spots was perfect, nice short and scenic drive.
Couldn't fault a thing with our stay here! Thank you very much to a great host.
“Ghyll Bank Cottage,” Gyll bank Cottage, is a lovely little place to stay for a Holiday,Everything was what you needed in it,and the views were great too. so lovely and quiet around, except the Magpie tapping on our Bedroom Window after no doubt a Morsel to find at 4am in morning, frightening myself and Hubby !!! All in all we will be going back in the Future maybe in the Summer time to get the chance to sit out on the Bench with a cuppa/ Wine in the Sun.
“great house for a large family group” Ghill Bank House was exellent for our large family group . We enjoyed walks from the house, local attractions and cultural visits. The gardens were a safe place for young children to play. The owners were very friendly and helpful
“Cosy, warm cottage with really welcoming and helpful owners” Cosy, warm cottage with really welcoming and helpful owners. The cottage ticked every box especially once we'd lit the fire and tucked into a bottle of red.
The owners couldn't have been more welcoming (but don't worry they weren't intrusive!) and had no issue in helping us out once we'd found out we'd arrived without our towels.
Thoroughly recommend a stay here.
