“Peaceful, Secluded, Perfect Cottage Setting!” The Boathouse is in a very tranquil area and was a perfect location for exploring other areas of Snowdonia. Directions provided were excellent. The Boathouse itself is much larger on the inside than it appears! It was clean and fitted out to a very high standard. The steam railway at the bottom of the 'garden' was so exciting for little people! It was one of the highlights! It was an excellent find!

“Amazing holiday” The house was amazing and had so much space for 4 adults 2 year old and a small dog and to be right on the beach was brilliant especially with a toddler and a little dog. We felt we had a lovely week in luxury and definitely want to return. Highly recommend.

“This place is absolutely stunning !” We had the most relaxing break we have ever had. The nest was absolutely spotless, sofa and bed were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need. The views are so beautiful we didn't feel the need to venture out much. We did have some leisurely strolls along the beach which was just perfect for us. Our only disappointment was that we had only booked a three night stay and neither of us wanted to leave ! We loved it so much that one week after our return we have booked a longer stay for next year !! Roll on 2019 !

Holiday chalet in Caeathro

Caeathro chalet

  • 2 bedrooms
  • 1 bathroom
  • sleeps 4

“Spectacular” The chalet was compact but fully equipped with everything you might need, including all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery and a TV and DVD player plus, a nice touch, a number of DVDs. The kitchen does not have a washing machine, but there is an outside launderette on site. It was nicely decorated inside and had a large outdoor decking overlooking the lake on the site. The 2 bedrooms had a double and 2 twin beds and were sizeable enough to cope with 4 adults, including storage wardrobes. The bathroom is small but functional and the shower works well, although the power cord is inside the towel cabinet next to the bath. Power is via an electric meter which is topped up before you leave, which, helpfully, can be done via the onsite shop. We were there during a hot spell and were out for most of the day so our £5 for the week may not be same for everyone. Only practical downsides are that the chalet's beautiful position by the lake means a steep walk back up the road from the shop or club and several steps down into the chalet so a minor concern for those with mobility issues. In addition, parking is difficult alongside the chalet, due to sloping grass banks, so you have to be back at right time to grab a slot in a lay-by practically opposite or a 5-car car park about 100 yards further on. There is also a wonderful outdoor swimming pool on site which has a combination lock to gain access and this can be obtained through reception everyday. The poolside restaurant opens in the evening for food and drinks and has a big TV screen. Route 66 Cafe opens from 8am till 1pm and 4pm till about 8 or 9pm. They make fantastic food which we took back to the chalet. The Cafe is next to a well equipped shop, but if there is something you cannot find, the garage about half a mile away (left out of the campsite) is also a good place. In all, we really had an awesome time at this campsite and would not hesitate to go back to the spectacular place and rebook this gorgeous chalet.

“Wow what an amazing house in a prime location” We stayed at The Gables in Oct, we were greeted on arrival by Mandy the lovely housekeeper who showed us around. The house is huge and absolutely beautifully equipped , no expense has been spared. Every thing was catered for even down to an egg cup. There is a well stocked CoOp in town and a small shop in walking distance. The hot tub was a hit even in October but then the weather was very kind to us . Over the garden wall is the fantastic beach and behind the house views of the Snowdonia National Park what more could you want , we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you

“A wonderful holiday location” Ideal holiday accommodation for a three generational family consisting of six adults and four children, on the sea front and on the Wales Coastal Path. Stunning coastal view to the south and to the west. The Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdonia National Park on the doorstep so many activities to choose from to keep all the family happy. The house is well equipped. There is enough room for everyone to be given space during the inevitable rough and wet weather which keeps all but the foolhardy indoors.

“AN enjoyable stay” Travelled to Barmouth with hubby and grandson Aug 20th - 27th 2016.The cottage is very central, close to the beach and pubs and restaraunts. It is in a quiet area so sleep wasnt disturbed. The cottage was clean and had everything that we needed, including a fully fitted kitchen and a utility room with washing machine. On the first floor is a double bedroom and the bathroom with shower/bath.The hot water is constant and bath towels and hand towels are provided. On the next floor,it is reached via paddle stairs and has two single beds. There is plenty of storage room in both bedrooms and lots of hangers, and a hairdryer. THe lounge area is down in the basement.WE didnt spend a lot of time down there even though it is cosy, with an electric log burner, because it felt damp. There is no wifi in the cottage but most of the surrounding pubs have free wifi. Overall,we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a beach/walking holiday. There are lots of places nearby to visit, but also has a clean, fantastic beach and a castle just up the road in Harlech.

“Excellent weekend stay” Just back from a weekend stay. The chalet was clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was larger than expected with good size bedrooms and ample sitting room space. The site is well maintained and the play area was great for the children. It is in a great location to visit the many towns and villages of North Wales.

Luxury Holiday Home In Criccieth On The Edge Of The Snowdonia National Park
Absolutley Beautiful

The location is ideal front line to the beach and a couple of hundred metres away from the famous Dylans Restaurant. It is easy access to the beach the castle and all other amenities Criccieth has to offer. It has a great private parking facility for two cars. Every conceivable thing you would need in the apartment was availabile and catered for the cleanliness was second to none. It was home from home. I would not hesitate in booking this apartment again. Graeme the host was easily accessable and telephoned me before my arrival.see more

Amazing!

I can not stress enough how fantabulous this house is. All your needs are catered for; firstly, the house is very well laid out, from the entrance, there's the utility room, very handy for cleaning a dirty dog, boots and coats. Upstairs is perfect for gazing out, taking in the ever changing scenery over the vast ocean. A hop, skip, and a jump to the beach, town, and escaping the daily grind, taking in the views through an abundance of walks, from the front door. Myself, my children and Chester(a cockapoo) didn't want to leave; it's something when your children(13,15&20) say they love to stay for another week. We will be back!.see more

ARDEN HOUSE ( Property ID 322645 ) Barmouth , Gwynedd , Wales
Conveniently located

A convenient location for public transport, costal and other walking, cafes, shops and pubs. Interesting museum short walk away. Cottage well equipped except no washing machine. (Launderette a short walk away but the opening hours did not suit our schedule). In practice we only used the middle two floors. as the stairs are steep. Owner always responded to queries promptly. We did miss free WiFi. Would be tempted to return for walking festival but likely the lack of washing machine and WiFi would influence us to look elsewhere.see more

Detached chalet on the lakeside, Glan Gwna country park.
Perfect little home from home

Clear instructions given upon booking and great price. There is ample parking spaces and the chalet is stunning. Very clean and lots of information provided in the booklet left for visitors. The chalet has little touches which make it feel very homely and it was absolutely spotless. And the views of the lake are gorgeous! The owner is lovely and very helpful. I am already planning my next trip and would always stay here on any visits to North Wales.see more
